Alright, confess odd things.
Excessive complaining isn't allowed anywhere on the site. Keep it out of this thread.
For example, I'm jealous to my big brother becuase he discovered The Smiths first. Dammit, now I can't have a crush for Morrisey without feeling weird about it.

I come up with nicknames for the birds I see regularly on my walking route.
There's Mama Duck and her Squadron, Shouty Plover Family, The Mob (A flock of yellow tailed black cockatoos), Flappy (a galah with a wonky but functional wing) and Stumpy (a plover with legs but no feet. Don't worry he manages fine)

Everybody's all "Jerry's old and feeble" till they see him run down a skyscraper and hijack a helicopter mid-flight.I know it's a dumb thing to get upset over, but I wish the situations in the "assign a situation to the above music" thread were as long as they used to be. It used to be customary to write a whole paragraph and now it's usually just a line
Yeah, most of the ones I've seen there as of late are pretty fucking lazy.
That's one major reason I stopped posting there; didn't feel like mine were good enough (i'm way too self-critical).
yours aren't that bad, though

simple asYeah, I'm pretty guilty of that myself. Sorry.
Another odd confession: I tend to post there a lot less, because I have a weird phobia of opening YouTube links on this forum.

I think it goes in cycles. I remember when I made my first post on that thread, one-sentence situations were the norm rather than the exception.
Actual confession: I find it almost surreal how long I've been here.

The possum is a potential perpetrator; he did place possum poo in the plum pot.@Cailleach: Same. I've been trying to avoid doing just one line myself, but I'm afraid I've still been writing shorter scenarios than I used to as well. I'll try to remember to do longer ones.

I didn't know Wendell was in New Leaf until just now. I'm still trying to unlock the Dream Suite. Public works projects are hard. :PSometimes, when I'm watching videos like Game Grumps or other videos where they're discussing stuff, I actually pretend to talk to them.
" I'm the princess! Everyone has to do what I say!"I sometimes apologise to the singer when I skip a song on my playlist.
Everybody's all "Jerry's old and feeble" till they see him run down a skyscraper and hijack a helicopter mid-flight.One week I drew so much I managed to listen through the whole KumikyokuNND channel in... well, a week or so? Or most of it at least. Just clicking "play all" and letting the entire playlist play in the background

"Leftover items still have value!"People deliberately typing in lowercase to make themselves look chill or cute is one of my pet peeves. I don't hate it, but at the same time, I find it more annoying than anything. I'll type in lowercase when I'm in a silly mood, but not as a everyday basis. I sometimes feel like that people who type like that aren't as nice as what they think, but that's just an unfair judgement on my part.
People who type like that are common on Deviant Art and Twitter.
I am not celebrating Halloween at all. No costume, no candy, no party, no movies, nothing. And I am stoked about it. My daughter's with her dad, which means he gets to deal with the staying up late and cold weather and 576355 pounds of candy in the house, not me. :D I am a boring old lady who likes to go to bed early.
I did send my twin bro some pictures of animals in costumes, though, since he's working at the hospital overnight and doesn't even get the chance to celebrate.

The extent of my Halloween celebrations was watching the Alice Cooper episode of the Muppet Show. Then I watched the Florence Henderson episode, ruining the theme. I also had some minor party food, but that was it.
I'm taking a new medication and I have to stop drinking.
I am pissed off.
This tells me that stopping drinking is probably a good idea. Up until now, I had been drinking 3-4 drinks per week, so nothing excessive, but a push to come up with some healthier (and cheaper) ways to relax will be a good thing.
Still, I'm going to ask the pharmacist if I can have one drink now and then...it's almost Alcohol Season (You Mean "Xmas"?), and I'd love a glass of champagne or a spiked eggnog.
My attempt to go into Games Development had unfortunately resulted in a really bad case of Crippling Overspecialisation. So, now I've been attempting for the last few months to go for something more transferable.
Namely IT.

Spelunking through a Halo Ring is something else...I have been extremely cranky at work lately. I apparently scared one of my managers with a recent temper tantrum.
I think it's a mix of sleep deprivation (I can never seem to get enough sleep), the store being far busier than usual, and anxiety over the fact that I'm gonna be on TV soon.
For a long time I thought the The Incredible Hulk was a DC character and not a Marvel one

New theme music also a boxProbably not too odd compared to other confessions here, but I somewhat see any overly cute fictional characters as one of my weaknesses since apparently, if they're cute enough, I just can't help but think of how cute they are.
And yes, this stretches to cute characters from series aimed at girls, even though I'm a boy. Which is probably why I have my profile icon set to Mametchi and Himespetchi from Tamagotchi, at the time of this writing, anyway.

I don't get the appeal of sad/negative songs. Why would you want to listen to a song about abuse, suicide, depression, war, personal problems, or just growing up with a rough life in general?
because some of us did.
it's a confirmation that other people have had issues too, the same issues we're dealing with.
in all honesty, man, those songs are not for you. i don't mean you can't listen to them but you're not the target audience for those types of songs, mate. the messages and ideas aren't the ones you're identifying with, but i, and others like me, do. let me have my weird, depressing, strange ambient existential angst-rock and work with that, and you enjoy your audio drug of choice.
[forum cryptid: it/it's]I don't know what my audio drug of choice is.
Please stop derailing this thread just to rant on music. The mods have already been called before about it.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Okay, getting back on topic:
I love just about any other way to prepare a pig. I love bacon, I love sausage, I love pork. But I can't stand ham at all.
It's all from the same animal! Why do I find ham so unspeakably gross?
Maybe it's how it's packaged or something? I used to be in the same boat, buying packaged ham from the store used to make me kinda sick.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Spark Plug The Troper, all human brains respond to cuteness! Cells in the amygdala, part of the brain involved in emotions, light up when a human sees a cute thing. So, it makes sense.
Here◊ is a cute picture for you, just because. ^_^
Social media sites like Twitter are hard for me to use, because you're kind of required to follow the crowd first before you can cat recognised by others. When you make a post before making yourself visible to the world, it feels like you're talking to yourself, like you said before. Forums aren't always easy when you're starting out on one, but if you don't make yourself a stranger, keep a positive/humorous attitude and post regularly, you'd be more likely to be recognised by people.
I always make sure I go for a forum that is either big/lively or doesn't have a bad rep for having arrogant users. It's only been almost a week, but TV Tropes has been the most fun forum I've been to since three years ago. There doesn't seem to be any bad reps here and a lot of people just love to talk. A forum should be just that - bringing people together and have simple but fun conversations with one another.
