I get drunk on a Sun evening all the time. Since I work retail, Sun is my Fri night.

I like to get drunk (or at least laughably light-headed) on nights when I don't have to work the next day.

Dude, th amount of truth you spoke makes me overload STOP!

A sliver of pizza yummy and mateys like, too. but im cautious now that one mtey took some spirits. Ohhhhh, thats gonna sitng.

It's Friday, hardly a week since the last time I and my "mateys" got on the booze-fest and another one already. Goodness gracious!

My shoulders felt like they were climbing up into my neck and strangling me today, and it was making my head hurt. (This is normal enough to not be alarming. Herniated disc.) I took two muscle relaxers. Now I'm marathoning How Its Made, clipping coupons, and feeling pretty okay.

I want to go to bed. But I can't. There are people on my roof, replacing it. This is the roof that cost 2x the estimate to replace. So...I guess I'm getting my money's worth? Still pissed. I want them gone so I can sleep. And also so I can take my pants off.

Today has sucked. Work kicked my ass, I got bad money news, everyone I know had a bad day, now there are roofers, even the DOGS had a bad day. (Because roofers.) But. My hair has looked fan-damn-tabulous all day, so at least there's that.

Also, tomorrow will be better. I love that. The bad things that happened today won't happen tomorrow. And tomorrow is my Friday. And if my muscles cooperate and I don't need muscle relaxers, I can have a badly needed freaking drink.

Guys I slept atraight through my bus stop, now I'm going back the way I just came typing with one eye because I. Can't focus otherwise.

PS it's currently 4.40pm in the UK which is where I am, I'm so tired.

It's EPIC BREAK TIME for Troper Mom. I'm marathoning Too Cute and drinking White Russians. Why? BECAUSE I CAN

So here are my drunk thoughts:

• Are first person shooters hard? Because I totally wanna play Wolfenstein II and kill ALL THE FUCKING NAZIS.

• I am sad that I don't speak much Spanish. I can order food and find someone who speaks English, but that's about it.
  • My Twin Bro is fluent in Spanish. He can take a medical history, deliver a baby, make small talk with the in-laws (our Little Bro's wife's family), order weird Spanish tentacle tapas and make small talk with the waiters, and basically do EVERYTHING in Spanish. I wonder if he has a Puerto Rican accent now. (We're from Colorado, and once Spanish speakers here get past their American accents, they get Mexican accents and use Mexican vernacular. He lives in New Jersey now.)

• I wanna go to NORWAY!! And Australia, that's my entire bucket list. And Japan, that will be our fifth wedding anniversary trip. (The boyfriend and I know we're getting married at some point, just not when, and five years later, his weeb ass is taking me to Japan)
  • He speaks a little bit Japanese. He says he sounds like a black guy from Brooklyn speaking Japanese. I imagine this is funny.

  • I have a friend from Vietnam who speaks English, Japanese, and of course his native language of Vietnamese. Dude has a brain the size of a fucking planet.

• It is COLD and SNOWY. This is BULLSHIT. I'm a Colorado native, I should be used to this. In reality, I've had 36 years to reinforce the fact that I don't like winter. >_< And Liz's dad is not ok with either of us moving out of state, and the partner would only move to NY (no California, no Arizona, absolutely nothing south of the Mason Dixon Line), which means more winter.

• I hope the kids here don't think less of me for getting all drunk for seemingly no reason. For what it's worth, I'm drinking responsibly. I'm not driving anywhere, not making any decisions, and these are my first drinks of the week.

• my hair is FUCKING IMPOSSIBLE...if I gave a fuck, I could turn it into Power Hair, but I do not DO blow dryers and curlers. So it's all shaggy and weird curly and whatever. Maybe I should get a haircut before I go visit my dudes (Twin Bro and his awesome husband) in NJ next month

I'm getting married in two days and trying to calm my nerves with rum and Coke.

are you worried about the wedding, or about the marriage? And if the answer is the latter, are you worried about being a good spouse, or worried that you've made a mistake?

No matter where your worries come from, please be kind to yourself. Also, please drink a buttload of water when you're done drinking rum. And maybe take a benadryl, you're going through a stressful time, you need your sleep.

My father passed the time waiting for his wedding listening to The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald. My mother was not impressed when she learned.

I walked down the aisle to Alone In Kyoto by Air. (Which was used in Lost in Translation to boot!) I told everyone it was just because of the pretty melody.

If I walk down an actual aisle instead of just walking in to City Hall all casual like for my next wedding, I will walk to Pollyanna or Smiles and Tears.

When my friend Max married his first wife, they took their first walk around the altar as husband & wife (it was an outdoor wedding) to Star Wars music. I think it was the music from the ceremony when Princess Leia gave Luke and Han their medals at the end of A New Hope.

Shit, I just spent $30 on a bag of coffee. One of my instagram friends (@hana_kuroshiba) roasts coffee, and she sells her coffee online, and I ordered some. Coffee cost 1000 Yen, shipping cost 2000 yen. And I can't un-send the purchase.

Oh well.. Might as well enjoy it. :D

I hate getting bitten by shipping. When I bought my xbox 360, after the One had already been announced, I figured a decent market price for an old fat 360 was $75, and I scoured ebay until I found one I could win for $50. And then after I won it, I realized that shipping was $25, and I needed to buy a power supply and video cable before I could use it.

Also the disc drive's eject is sticky, and I think the seller didn't think it would ever eject again, since I found his old music appreciation class disc in it when I was able to open it, and when I asked him if he wanted it, he said "I've already replaced it".

Just found this thread after downing several glasses of box wine.

I read that as "several boxes of glass wine" and I'm sober.

I'm nervous about the wedding itself, hoping I don't have a panic attack walking down the aisle and saying my vows in front of all those people.

I'll be walking down the aisle to "Prelude" from the Final Fantasy games.

I might post here on the weekend. Prepare for the Incoherent Isaac or something. Hopefully it's even Hilarious Harry, but I kinda take some reservation, though.

The wedding went very well. We still have leftover beer and wine.

So I've just mixed a drink that tastes like a rootbeer float, despite having no vanilla in it.

It's a mix of 100 Proof Evan Williams bourbon, A&W Rootbeer, and Vernor's ginger soda.
