Lance and the Valkyrie Tank. He's the last boss, so of course he'd be rather hard. I'm playing on Epic mode, the hardest difficulty. It takes all the status buffs and healing I can muster to not die from a single round of combat. Even then, a bad bit of luck can be deadly.
The tank has two spots for turrets. When one turret is destroyed, another one will pop up a bit later. The turrets switch between laser(decent damage, occasional powerful attack), radar (seals skills, which can be deadly, does some alright damage), elemental(annoying status effects, good damage), and nuke launcher(INSTANT FUCKING DEATH).
The easiest way to do it would be to settle on a combination of turrets that isn't very deadly (ideal would probably be laser and laser), and focus solely on the tank itself. Unfortunately, my primary way to damage it while healing the party is through the various counterattacks and random "free" attacks the party gets. These attacks tend to just hit whatever, and can destroy the turrets.
Oh, and the best part is that the last save point is quite a ways before this. I have to fight two rounds of enemies, the zombie hydra, and two more waves of enemies from the last save point before I hit the tank.
Basically, it is tons of strategy and tons of Luck-Based Mission. Fun times.

Probably late, but...
Just block. He does no hard-hitting attacks (which go through block), nor have any grab attacks (which ignore it entirely). Despite this, every time he bumps into you while you're blocking, he gets hurt.

More of a That One Game than a That One Boss or That One Level...
Radiozonde and Hellsinker.
That is all.
Shutdown sequence initiated.Jumpin' Jack Flash on Sweatin' difficulty.
You pretty much have to get 300 point taps all the time, or your life bar will run out. -_-
"The world ends with you. If you want to enjoy life, expand your world. You gotta push your horizons out as far as they'll go."Radiant Silvergun. Stage 3.
To those who think that's fairly good: That's the first stage you play.
Honestly, Cave games (True Final Bosses, Ultra mode, and DFKBL Strong Style notwithstanding) hold no candle to this game. How far do I make it into a typical Cave game on a virgin run before seeing the continue screen? About stage 3. In RSG? The digit that shows how many continues I've used reads 7 or 8 by the time I beat the last boss of Stage 3.
It doesn't help that my "e-moo" has five frames of input lag.

http://twitter.com/raydere | http://raydere.tumblr.comIn a horrifying twist, Jumpin Jack Flash is actually EASIER on Hard Rock. It's because in the utterly demonic third section, the notes are easier to react to, and don't consume the screen. It's the FOURTH section that will murder you on Hard Rock.
A corpse should be left well enough alone...The last level. It's rediculous, even with a 3rd gen VT.
-> Allies are clueless and stupid, only useful as cannon fodder.
The mission starts out with 5 allied V Ts and assaulting a fortress protected by a moat, allies roadblock the bridge crossing. Several fixed emplacements fire at you, in addition to heavy armored V Ts at the end, with artillery V Ts on a second emplacement above. 3rd gen enemy mechs spawn from two elevators toward the back of the complex.
It's very difficult to resupply unless all enemies are neuted. Then you get into the elevator and go down a level. Navigate a maze with a ton of glass cannon anti-vt weapons. While encountering V Ts. Take another elevator and enter a...storage area of some kind, with lots of walls and a bunch of 3rd gen enemy V Ts coming all at you. Eventually if you can get through 3 rooms of enemies you take an elevator to the top. Kill a couple easy enemies then resupply before the boss. A mecha with lots of cannons and missiles, and can survive multiple railgun shots. Plus if he hits you with a special attack, you get shut down and have to reboot your mech.
Ironically, I beat it the first time through, but now I can't anymore.
My other signature is a Gundam.Fucking Atlas! Pretty much every boss up to this point was pretty pushover-y for me, and then I meet Atlas and hit a brick wall. Now, I spend practically all my time on the game grinding Liquid Metal Slimes on Slime Hill while trying to devise a strategy that can bring this a-hole down.
Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia.
It's been a long time since I've played ANY platformers... It took me nearly a whole day to beat the crab boss that climbs up the lighthouse after you (I know, I know: LOLOLOLOL WUT A N 00 B)
Then the level following the subterreanean water level... I think it's a graveyard or something... The gravedigger enemies keep kicking my shit in.
In times of change, learners inherit the Earth and the learned find themselves perfectly equipped to deal with a world that no longer existsAny of the bosses in Xenosaga 3.
Not because they're particularly tough or anything, but because practically all of them pick themselves up after being beaten and say "Well, I'm actually a hundred times stronger but I decided to go easy on you."
Don't you try anything, you baked good you.Mother Brain.

http://twitter.com/raydere | http://raydere.tumblr.comI'm not entirely sure if it's a boss. But I REALLY doubt it's a normal enemy. But that Ogre at the top of that tower. Freaking one hit kill dammit.
Help?.. please...Tower crab on my medal run in Order of Ecclesia. And I really have no fucking clue why that one attack always gets me. I've watched vids. I've examined this move while playing. I've successfully dodged it a few times...
WHY.

Shadowstalker. In order to get a special combat mode for the main character, Edge, one needs to defeat this optional boss. This guy has a powerful attack that can decrease your Magic Defense, and a powerful Meteor spell that can hit for a fair amount once that first move's been done. The major catch? Once you get him down to half HP, he splits into two clones. Additionally, any clone can split into two clones as well. Despite the fact that each clone (and clone-of-clone) has 1/2 the HP of what it came from, and that only four clones can exist at a time, it's still a hassle to boost your M-Def up back to regular standards before being hit with four meteors in a row.
