Actual power means NOTHING here. Only raw will, determination, and love matter in conflicts. Throw all the pathetic little magic tricks you want at me... Irritate me with all the little butterflies you can muster... I will simply shrug them off, as my love for Patchouli and the Mistress far outweigh your petty and childish gluttony. The simple fact that you believe that I am little more than a snack has already sealed your defeat. I am youkai. I am eternal, ever-regenerating, constant, immaterial. Kill me ten thousand times, and I will come back twenty thousand times stronger. Slay me until doomsday, and I shall remain. Never will I see your garden of sin, consumption, and lies. Never will I grace your land of self-righteous grandstanding. Do you hear me, Ruler of Hakugyokurou? I am immortal. Your death has no power over me. I am not a flimsy human, I am not an ephemeral fairy. I am a rock in the river of life, along with the several thousand other youkai that walk this earth. Are you jealous, little human girl? Jealous that your one power, the power to end, destroy, devastate and ruin... That your power to "cause death"... cannot touch me? I am not alive. I exist, I live, and I breathe, but death has no power over me. I laugh at death. I spit on death. I wipe my hindquarters with the mention of death. And I am not alone. All around me, and, as you have no doubt noticed, all around you, are innumerable beings like me. We cannot permanently die. We cannot be destroyed. Does that make you feel weak, little human girl? Does it sadden you that your kind, and only your kind, would be so affected by something as foolish as a suicide? The only way to end my existence is to conjure up a level of energy you cannot even dream of. To me, you are a nuisance. A large nuisance, yes, but a nuisance all the same. Patchouli was correct. You are but a joke to those of us who do not know the flimsiness of human existence. You are annoying. Leave at once.
