Gonna have to watch this.
I need more of this. Just... MORE
What namespace do we use for stuff like this, by the way?
Personally I'd use Franchise/, and then have Film/ namespaces for each "volume" (since it seems to be released in volumes).
"All you Fascists bound to lose."New one's out. This time, it's Vietnam War meets Reality Warper vs Born Lucky.

"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisThat was very Metal Gear.
Si Vis Pacem, Para PerkeleSo when is the Tvtropes page for these films gonna be made? There's a lot tropes i want to add.
EDIT: Forgot to add new videos.
Old rich dude plays God.
And the most disturbing infomercials since Robocop.

Sharlto Copley plays God. Looking at his previous roles in Blomkamp's movies, the end is kind of a given.
Also, the next full-sized short is titled "Zygote" and comes out Wednesday.

"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisThis one raised more questions than answers.
Si Vis Pacem, Para PerkeleSo as someone who hasn't watched these yet, how are the shorts overall?
Are any of the endings liable to making someone feel dead inside and/or stare into the screen asking "WTF just happened?"
Only "God: Serengeti". Because God is a dick in that one, what with him being played by Sharlto Copley with a Dumblebeard. The full-sized ones feel more like Act 1 of a feature movie, with the exception of "Zygote" that feels like Act 3 instead, playing the Final Girl trope to the hilt.
Also, don't watch the "Cooking with Bill" shorts. Fingore is the least disgusting bit in those.
"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisI've watched Rakka, God, Firebase, and Zygote so far, and they've all been pretty good. I was hoping to find an actual page for the studio and/or individual works. I have no idea how to start a new page though, and I'd probably not be much good at it, but that's what Wiki Magic is for, right?
Ladies and gentlemen!
Fret no more, because I've finally conceived a page for Oats Studios!
It's right here.
Fair warning, it's really bare bones, so spread the wiki magic love, why dontcha?
Also, idea: since Zygote already has its own page, why don't we make it so the others have their own pages and the Oats Studios page can be like a hub of sorts?
Started working on a page for Rakka while watching it again. My synopsis is pretty terrible though, I'm bad at those :P
New short titled "Kapture: Fluke" is out.
Looks like 2013 video game, with everything rendered in-engine.

Her eyes are creepy as fuck.
"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisSo this was made with a video game engine?
Holy crap...
And that music by Lorne Balfe must be one of the best cases of electronic music I've heard so far. Almost makes me want to see if Ghost in the Shell (2017) has a soundtrack like that. Almost.
As for the short itself, is this a case where the robots used to be humans but their minds got uploaded to computer brains or something like that? I'm getting strong vibes that that's the case.
Isn't that what the Mirror said was going on?
Organic brains in robot bodies.
Ah, makes perfect sense.
By the way, to do an Oats Studios short film, you guys think there's a guideline in terms of tone?
Specifically, a lot of these projects appear dark, in either the humorous or the dramatic sense.
You think anyone could do an Oats Studio short that was less dark and more beautiful, like Ōkami or something of that nature?
Praetoria
Announced a few weeks back, Neil is debuting a new project with a rather unorthodox form: A series of free short films on Youtube and Steam (of all things), apparently loosely revolving around an alien invasion of Earth. And not the wholesome kind like District 9's, human enslavement is the topic of the day, it seems. The first one was released today, featuring Sigourney Weaver, here we go:
