Because I'm nothing if not original, right?

So, Exactly What It Says on the Tin, really. Someone posts a piece of music they feel is fitting to the above situation, and then posts their own situation which the next poster assigns some music to, and so on and so forth. So with that said, I'll start.

In a distant, post-apocalyptic future of Earth, humans live 24-7 inside vast elevated network systems, unable to ever go outside due to pervasive toxic smog and impassable terrain. In one such colony, people try to live somewhat ordinary lives, greeting each other with "Good mornings" and "Goodnights" every day, but tensions and frustrations are building... and then one day a breakout faction decides to take matters and arms into their own hands and take control of the facility.

Non-World Harmony

An epic final battle at the very end of the world. Not in the "World is ending" sense, but the edge of the world sense. The final battle is between six heroes versus The Leader's former ally, the traitorous Well-Intentioned Extremist mentor, and his five allies, all who are foils to the main heroes. In the end, the Leader managed to win by outlasting the Mentor in a fight. The Leader and his love interest, The Lancer, The Big Guy, The Smart Guy and the Sixth Ranger all down the five allies of the Mentor. The battle ends with our heroes looking towards the sky.

Dark Crafter Battle

The heroes have been captured by the villain and locked in his dungeon. They sit there, on the cold, wet floor, among spiders and rats, as they start to believe they will never escape. They think about how, now that they've been captured, the villain is free to execute his wicked plans. They wish for someone to save them.

Prisoners of Time

The Leitmotif of The Mentor in a sci-fi fantasy RPG, who trains the heroes in using both magic and technology to fight. His backstory is mysterious, as he simply showed up in the protagonist's village one day with devices and spells no-one had seen before, and even his nature as a human is in doubt. Near the final act of the game, the mentor reveals the truth about himself - that he had been serving the Big Bad all along, intending to raise a group of human warriors so that said Big Bad may use their powers.

Klonoa: Empire of Dreams - Boss

In many cutesy, kid-friendly works, you know that villain who the heroes encounter many times throughout the story, but never take seriously? They meet him again - but this encounter is different. This time, he has kidnapped the Plucky Comic Relief, and just to show that he's done messing around, murders the comic relief in a gratuitously brutal, gory way, while Laughing Mad. He then turns to the heroes and announces his intention to murder everyone in this way.

GW2: Heart of Thorns -- Mordremoth

The piece that plays when the player is just starting to connect the puzzle pieces. While the characters are oblivious to what's going on, the player has noticed enough to start understanding why/how the villain wants to take control. Some things were just a bit too off, and the hints are piling together.

Detective Conan, Soundtrack 6

The music that plays as the Only Sane Man responds to the current chaos by mentally checking out and going to their happy place.

And Paddling a Yagurafune

The theme for the final area of a platformer set in cyberspace - unlike the other, very futuristic-looking locations in the game, this place is a Womb Level, due to a computer virus that has almost completely taken the space over.

Dark Souls III: Curse-rotted Greatwood

The twist just happened. It's the point that nobody wants to spoil for you, but they're always pushing you to keep playing "just until the next cutscene." As it turns out, the good guy (insert spoilers here) and it completely changes how you look at the events of the game.

Just outside a former khruschyovka, a shootout is happening between a snake with cybernetic prostheses, a pigeon, and a hedgehog in a gas mask. And, on the second floor, a hundred rats have found a little red book, which has become the object of their worship.

NieR - Shadowlord

The heroes are sitting on a hill one night, watching the stars, which practically fill the sky. The moon is big and full. Shooting stars appear occasionally, and bats can be seen darting around in the sky. They try to take in the vast expanse of the sky, and the millions of stars they see.

Pat Metheny Group - Last Train Home

The hero duels a fallen friend. They are equally matched in skill, and neither can seem to get an advantage over the other.

Dark Souls 3: Soul of Cinder

The Big Bad is lecturing the heroes on why the world is meaningless and deserves to be destroyed, and honestly, he has a point! The heroes are conflicted on whether to actually fight him and save the world, or just let it slip into darkness and be reborn without the corrupt civilizations that currently inhabit it.

Super Paper Mario - In the Darkness

Two villains who are genuinely in love with each other are dancing in a ballroom as they celebrate the success of their latest evil plan. Throughout the dance, they constantly compliment each other in a Bad Is Good and Good Is Bad way, and laugh evilly.

Soul Calibur V - Blood Thirst Concerto

The End of the World as We Know It

Persona 3 - Nyx

Theme music for a boss battle in the centre of the mind, between the protagonist's good self and his evil Split Personality fighting for control over his body. Throughout the battle, the protagonist hears the calls of his friends, willing him to fight, but also twisted, dark corruptions of his friend's voices that tempt him to give in.

Klonoa 2 -- Mirage

The protagonist has just gone down, and everything seems lost, but one of the party steps up and delivers a rousing speech, reminding everyone of why they are fighting, and that they can't give up because of the costs of failure. Even though they might die, it's worth it to save the world.

Dragon Ball Kai - Heroic Face-Off

The protagonist is one of the few survivors of the Zombie Apocalypse. However after a zombie-attack he finds that one zombie managed to get a scratch on his leg and infect him.

The leitmotif of an evil casino owner who has rigged all the games in his casino, so that whenever someone loses one - which is always - he steals their soul. He's very Faux Affably Evil and Wicked Cultured.

The villain's army has overwhelmed the heroes through sheer mass of numbers. In their direst moment, they finally receive the back-up they need in the form of nature itself; the earth shakes, giant trees uproot themselves and surge forward, fierce animals leap out from the underbrush, and torrential storms effortlessly pick the enemy apart.

Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns - Mouth of Mordremoth

Dawn is breaking above the heroes' camp. They've been traveling for weeks now, trying to find the lost city of legend, and they know they're on the right track. The path has been difficult, and the woods ahead are dense and dangerous, but they've paid attention to the signs, and they know that the artifact they need is nearby. They just have to get there first.

Xenoblade Chronicles - Colony 9

The protagonist arrives at a city that is a centre of commerce and community in the country - or at least, it should be. Upon his arrival it's immediately noticeable that something is wrong, as the place is completely deserted, and an eerie fog now pervades the area. He begins to investigate the abandoned city, but in the midst of doing so, finds himself stalked by... something lurking in the fog.
