A Game of Gods Season 3: Renaissance

The Malone Report of 21600 confirmed the suspicions of many.

For all of known history, there have been legends of heroes and villains, men and monsters who came to this world from others. At first people theorized they were legends of beings beyond the stars, but as civilisation expanded across the final frontier, we learned we were alone in the universe.

As more incursions came to light, we realized that although we were alone in the universe, our universe wasn’t alone.

We were a playground of the gods, those with enough power to travel across the void, to punch holes in the fabric of reality. No hole was the same, though: some were ragged wounds, left carelessly open. Others were dainty incisions, sealed as soon as their creator’s business was done.

Over time, we learned to peer through these holes. Although we could not travel, we could observe. We learned much, copied some. Some worlds were primitive, some advanced, some filled with awesome technology, some powered by magic, and some a mix of all four.

Then one day, a universe turned black. Here one minute, gone the other. No threat to the universe was observed, no reason for it to suddenly stop existing. As we watch, more and more universes died.

The first, and most prevalent theory, was entropy. From what was observed, a universe’s energy did bleed through open holes in it’s fabric. Some of the disappearances conformed to all the hallmarks of a universe that simply ran out of easily accessible energy.

But some did not.

The Malone Report was a product of nearly a decade’s research. It took into account all recorded cases of a universe disappearing of our collective radar, cross-referenced all the data, and came to a conclusion.

Holes in the fabric of reality didn’t only threaten a universe with entropy. It threatened them with instability. Enough instability that a universe could simply cease to exist at any moment.

There was panic. Riots. Revolution.

But with a threat so huge, it would have been irresponsible for the Malone Report to not provide a solution.

Under seemingly random conditions, a hole could self-seal. Although it was rare, a universe could have the punctures in it’s reality sealed, and become stable once more. If a way could be found to seal the wounds, our universe would be saved.

On the 19th of October, 21606, we found our solution.

Through one of our observation posts, we spotted a figure entering another universe. Whatever means she used sealed the hole behind her. That began the years of research on this figure.

Her name is Rook. She’s a woman, or the female of whatever species she is. According to legend, a being of enormous power stole her away from her own world, and set her a series of challenges. She overcome everything thrown her way, and at the end of it all, she refused the reward offered. Over the course of her trials, she had grown to love the lonely god, and the god her.

The god gave her technology out of the enormous cache they had accumulated, and let her wander the multiverse. And although it is supposed to be impossible to find the home of the god, Rook would always know the way.

This woman has the power to seal the holes in our reality. But we’re on a race against time. Our universe grows more unstable by the day. Through observation of Rook, we’ve developed a way of temporarily reopening the holes she makes as she passes. But it can only be done once. Any team we sent would be on a suicide mission, never to return home.

Because even if they found Rook, even if she sealed the holes for us from the other side, our universe has grown so unstable that we can only afford one more hole, however temporary, before the next one destroys us completely.

But there are more universes out there. Through our observation, we have discovered people of great powers and abilities. Although their universes are unstable, they’re more stable than ours. If we can open Rook’s holes to those universes at the right times, we can gather a team. A team to hunt Rook down.

The problem is, once we’ve reopened those holes, we can’t do it a second time. They have to find Rook or never return home.

We here at the Center for Universal Survival took a vote. Unanimously, we decided this plan was completely unethical.

Unanimously, we decided there was no other way.

Hello, and welcome to A Game of Gods: Renaissance, a third-generation AGOG game. Despite my long-winded spiel up there, the premise is simple: a dying civilization has dragged your characters together to hunt down a woman named Rook, who holds the key to saving their universe.

The catch? Our heroes (or villains, or neutrals) have been chosen because their universes are unstable too. And if their universes collapse, they too will cease to exist.

But what does “unstable” really mean? What it means is that the universe is changed, liable to outside forces. Effectively, a “stable” universe is a canon universe.

And thus, to be played in this game, any character must be an Alternate Universe version of a canon character.

What counts as an alternate universe version of a character? Any change to the canon. Perhaps they were born the opposite gender, and this affected how society viewed them. Perhaps their lineage was different, and thus they were born with different abilities. Perhaps the entirety of their society has changed.

Or maybe, just maybe, the big change is that they’ve been a part of the game of gods before.

What we want from our players is creativity. Think long and hard about the change you’re making to the character. How does it affect their story? Do they even go on the journey they do in canon? Does the change affect their status in society? Would different treatment as a result of this change affect their personality? Would the change hamper or help the development of their abilities?

Please also remember that if you giveth, you should also taketh away. A Spider-Man who kept the power-enhancing black suit would have major changes to his personality, and infact may be more monstrous than the one we know and love.

We’re asking you to take the dominoes canon sets up, and knock them down in a new and strange way. Maybe even keep them standing.

With the help of a Handler feeding information into their ears, and a mobile base of operations/portal generator, our Alternates will track down Rook and save their own lives, as well as those of billions of innocent people.

And if that’s not enough motivation, legend has it that Rook knows the way to a cache of godlike technology. Technology that their Handler is all too willing to give as payment.

Despite this being a sequel to two previous sets of games, you don’t have to be an AGOG Veteran to join in on the fun, and inexperienced players are completely welcome. The plot connection between this game and previous games is extremely loose.

So, your mission, if you choose to accept it…

Rules:

Signup Rules:

Characters must be A Us of canon characters. These A Us may be created by you, inspired by other people’s takes on the character, be a “canon” AU (for example, House of M, Marvel 1602, Flashpoint, or that one universe where everyone is evil and Spock has a goatee), or simply be a character who has been in an AGOG game before and remembers the experience.

One character per player. Any more than that will be taken on case-by-case basis, but if we believe that you’re able to handle it, we’ll allow it. Try and stick with two maximum to start with, though, even if we believe you could handle three or four.

Duos are allowed, but we’ll taking it on a case-by-case basis. In the past, “duo” has meant characters such as Jak and Daxter, where only one is combat-effective and the other just serves as someone to bounce off of, personality-wise. If you feel like your character’s personality works best when they have their constant partner around, but both are combat-capable (for example, Grif and Simmons from Red Vs Blue work best as a double act), send the pair at us and we’ll discuss it.

We’d also like to keep powerlevels at a reasonable standard, but anything can be nerfed. Even if you think your character is too powerful, send them our way and we’ll discuss it. Rule of thumb, though: if your character can cause or fix natural disasters single-handedly in a short length of time, expect some nerfs.

Gameplay Rules:

No real specific rules, but keep to general R Ping etiquette. No ghosting (simply ignoring any attacks sent your character’s way); no autohitting (whether your character’s attack lands is up to the other player, not you); no taking control of other people’s characters, etc. Of course, this being etiquette and not laws, you can make breaches if they’re discussed with the other player beforehand.

The only real rule is that GM rulings are final, and must be obeyed, though if you have objections these rulings can be politely discussed.

And of course, please obey all Forum Rules, especially those relating specifically to the RP Forums.
Once you’re done here, head on over to the Discussion Thread (Don’t try and read it all, we prefer our players alive) and the actual game thread.

Your G Ms (Makaioh, Meanken, wikkit and Katarsus) hope you enjoy your time playing in A Game of Gods: Renaissance.

Well if we're doing threes now....

  • Name: Corvo Attano (and Emily Kaldwin)
  • Age: 54
  • Appearance: They look like so normally. Under the mask, Corvo looks like this and Emily looks like this.
  • Universe: Dishonored 2
  • Personality:
    • Known for his air of mystery, Corvo is a distant and reserved man, showing his emotions only to his closest companions. He is noticeably pragmatic, willing and able to exact whatever means necessary to achieve a desired end. Though he bears a title of utmost honor, he isn't opposed to wet work, conversely being completely apathetic to the spilling of blood. His willpower is unshakable and his conviction absolute; even with his name slandered twice, in both cases, he seeks primarily the restoration of the Kaldwin lineage to the throne.
    • Emily is eager and ambitious, prone to impulsive tendencies – albeit with good intentions – especially when confronted by a moral wrong. However, her ability to analyze a situation, plan her next move, and follow her better judgment allows her to escape dangerous situations both before and after they occur. She still feels the deep pain of her mother's absence, and often finds herself bewildered by the time that has passed since Jessamine's death. Though frequently overcome with grief, Emily lets such emotions smolder in her heart, reminding herself that she has her own life to live and an important role to fulfill. She disdains the doting affection paid to her by members of the aristocracy, and finds herself self-conscious of her hands, which are constantly kissed, held reverently, and examined.
  • Backstory:
    • Corvo Attano was born into a lower class family in the Batista Mining District of Karnaca on the 25th day of the Month of Nets in 1798. Corvo used to live happily, often wandering through the more rural parts of the city until his father, a lumber worker, was tragically killed in a workplace accident. He then grew up with his elder sister Beatrici, fighting in the streets, until she moved to Morley and the family subsequently lost all contact with her. At the age of 16, Corvo won the Blade Verbena, an annual sword duel festival, which earned him an early officer ranking in the Grand Serkonan Guard. During his time as a soldier, Corvo was involved in conflicts against several organized crime groups including rogue city states and pirate bands on the island chain east from Serkonos. Eventually, after two years of service, Theodanis Abele, the Duke of Serkonos, became highly impressed by his skill, and on the 28th day of the Month of Rain, Corvo was sent to Dunwall to serve the Emperor Euhorn Kaldwin as a diplomatic gift. A few months after his departure to Dunwall, Corvo learned about the passing of his mother Paloma, a few weeks after he had left Karnaca.
    • A year later, Corvo was chosen to serve as Royal Protector to the Emperor's daughter, Jessamine Kaldwin, which in the process gave him a higher social status. Corvo since loyally served Jessamine as her personal bodyguard, courier, and spy. After years of serving as the Royal Protector and secret paramour to Empress Jessamine Kaldwin, Corvo was framed for the Empress's assassination, stripped of his title and imprisoned by the usurper to the throne of the Empire, Lord Regent Hiram Burrows. Corvo escaped and became a vigilante assassin for the Loyalist Conspiracy, using the powers granted to him by the Outsider to eliminate Burrows' confederates, clear his name, avenge the Empress' death and restore their abducted daughter Emily to the throne.
    • Fifteen years later, he continued to serve as Empress Emily's Royal Protector and Spymaster. All this changed when Jessamine's long-lost sister, Delilah Copperspoon, violently usurped the throne. Delilah proved to be immortal, as he stabbed her in combat with his sword, only for Delilah to recover without a scratch. Escaping with their lives, Corvo and Emily set about on a quest to discover a way to slay Delilah. When they finally confronted her, Delilah managed to lay a fatal blow on Emily before perishing. Refusing to let his daughter die, Corvo absorbed her Mark of the Outsider into his own, using his own body to anchor her soul.
  • Powers/Abilities:
    • Dualing Spirits: The main quirk about Corvo and Emily is that they are two bodies and souls trying to occupy the same existence. When Corvo is active, Emily's spirit is dormant and recuperating, completely cut off from the world while his own soul tires. Corvo can 'shift' himself into Emily, letting her take over as his body changes to her form and he becomes the dormant one. The act of being the active body wears down their energy, and after a full day the other soul will involuntarily become the active one to allow the other to rest. They aren't able to communicate with each other in any way, meaning that outside of writing down messages they are unaware of the other's activities. All of the physical and supernatural abilities Corvo and Emily have are identical, with the except that the powers listed under "Supernatural Powers" are unique to them. (Everything else refers to Corvo for consistency)
    • Combat and Stealth Abilities: Corvo is a skilled combatant, his astounding natural reflexes being further enhanced by the Outsider cause him to wield his sword with superior agility. He is also a master of stealth, being able to move in the shadows as naturally as walking. He normally fights with his sword in his right hand and then a pistol or some other power in his left hand.
    • Supernatural Powers (Corvo): Corvo has six supernatural powers that are powered by a spiritual energy of his known as "mana". He can use his abilities 2-5 times in quick succession depending on how powerful they are, and then during periods of physical activity (such as combat) it takes half a dozen seconds to regain the mana required to use one of his abilities once.
      • Bend Time: Corvo can briefly slow down his perception of time without slowing his own passage through it, allowing him to move and react twice as fast as he already can.
      • Blink: The ability to teleport around 15 meters in the blink of an eye. It is not true teleportation, but rather such rapid movement that it resembles teleportation, meaning that while he can't go through transparent objects or grates, he can use the momentum built up to deliver a strong kick or strike as he exits it.
      • Dark Vision: The ability to see in the dark as if it were daylight, detect people, objects, and automatons through walls, and "see" sounds and their sources.
      • Devouring Swarm: Corvo can summon up to two swarms of rats. Each swarm is about two dozen rats, and they can attack people by biting and swiping at them, and then completely eat the flesh, bone, and even metal equipment carried by the unlucky bastard to get rid of any trace of a corpse.
      • Possession: He can supernaturally "possess" lifeforms, his own body being magically compressed somehow in the process. He can possess animals and people who aren't strong willed (read: Nobody plot-significant or a PC). He can enter them from about two dozen meters away. If the body is in gets killed, Corvo also dies. However, he can also possess a corpse that hasn't been dead for too long, in which case it has about as much vitality as the being would have had normally, and he can still die if the host is "killed".
      • Windblast: Conjures a gust of wind in the area a few meters ahead of him that shatters doors and deflects projectiles. The force is strong enough to potentially kill a normal man who is slammed into a wall because of it, and a smaller secondary shockwave that can knock over people just around him.
    • Supernatural Powers (Emily):
      • Domino: "Links" up to four targets withing a dozen meters of her so that any external physical force that happens to one happens to all of the links. If she punches one of them in the head, all the links feel the force of being bashed in the head. If she shoves one off a ledge, all four feel the force of smashing into the ground. If she stabs one, all the links get the effects of being stabbed.
      • Doppelgänger: Summons up to two shadow clones of herself that last up to half a minute before disappearing. If killed or knocked out, or time runs out, they simply disappear. Despite looking identical to how she's dressed when they're conjured, they are not able to speak or think, simply following basic programming for either stealth or assault, sneaking up on a foe to assassinate them, or else attacking them head-on. The only supernatural power they can use is Far Reach.
      • Far Reach: Shoots a dark shadowy tendril from her hand, akin to a grappling hook line, and dragging her rapidly to her target. If used on an object, it pulls it towards her. If used on a normal person, it yanks them rapidly towards her.
      • Mesmerize: Conjures a strange-looking shadowy figure that can enthrall weak-willed individuals and animals, distracting them for a dozen seconds. The void spirit is invisible to people unaffected by it.
      • Shadow Walk: Emily turns into a dark, smoke-like shadow that crawls along the ground. She is hard to see, and can fit through openings as small as a rat hole. She cannot jump or traverse any ledges, nor can she use any of her other supernatural powers in this form, but she can stealthily assassinate or incapacitate someone with her bare hands.
      • Dark Vision: The same as Corvo's power.
    • Supernatural Enhancements: Corvo also has some supernatural gifts that manifest as things that alter him, rather than powers he utilizes. His strength and endurance are a bit supernaturally boosted, allowing him to swing his sword hard enough to cleave through a wooden door, or slice through a grown man one-handed in a single strike. While he isn't any less susceptible to damage as your average person, he has a severe tolerance for pain and can still continue to fight when heavily injured or until he can get himself to safety.
      • Agility: Corvo can sprint about twice as fast as most humans, jump about four meters high, and can survive a fall from several dozen meters.
      • Reflexes: His reflexes are so good that he can track a bullet in flight and deflect it back at his attacker with his sword.
      • Shadow Kill: When Corvo kills someone, he can turn their body to a small pile of ashes.
    • Equipment:
      • The Mask: The mask is a device used to conceal Corvo's identity. It is constructed of a sturdy material that allows it to serve as conventional armor against blows to the face. The mask possesses a telescopic function, allowing Corvo to view far-off objects and target enemies at long range. When zoomed in, the lens also amplifies sound.
      • Assassin's Outfit: Lightweight and concealing, this outfit does not offer much in the way of protection, only providing a minimal amount of protection thanks to bonecharms woven into it. It does, however, have an absurd amount of pockets and pouches that allow Corvo to easily carry all his equipment. It also makes minimal noise, keeping him silent when running.
      • Occult Kiss: Corvo's signature folding sword, it can be folded to conceal it in his outfit, or extended to full length to attack. It is very durable despite being foldable, and deals extra damage to people capable of using magic.
      • The Crimson Painter: One of the pinnacles of modern clockwork technology, Corvo's pistol is similar to a modern shotgun, but in pistol shape. Its bullets can ricochet off of hard surfaces. With an astounding capacity of four rounds before it has to be reloaded, and the ability to kill someone at up to ten meters away, it is truly a wonder how anyone could hope to improve on the technology. Why, by adding whale oil to it. Instead of loading four normal bullets, Corvo can instead load an explosive bullet into the weapon, one which detonates its small reserve of whale oil to explode like a grenade on impact. He can carry 30 normal bullets, and 9 explosive bullets. It is somewhat quiet, certainly louder than a crossbow, but much quieter than a modern handgun.
      • Coffin Nails: A small semi-automatic hand crossbow, it has normal bolts, incendiaries, sleep bolts, and "Howling Bolts" - basically a regular bolt with a flashbang effect - and he carries 20 of each.
      • S&J Health Elixir: A hypo of healing elixir, it can instantly restore vitality to a person. While it won't regrow organs and limbs, it can seal up lacerations and bullet wounds in a person in a flash. He carries ten of them.
    • Adermire Solution: A hypo of spiritual healing, it can restore the majority of a person's energy - typically in the form of mana. He carries ten of them as well.
    • Sticky Grenades: Similar to modern frag grenades, except it uses whale oil to explode. They can "stick" to something on impact. Carries 4.
    • Springrazors: A deadly proximity mine that contains a collection of shards and shrapnel including metal blades, shells and bones. Its contents are stored on a circular rim and tightly-wound using metal wires. The mechanism is supported by spring-loaded claws which enable it to be locked onto most surfaces. When triggered by nearby vibrations, it unfolds with an audible click, throwing up a cloud of sharp objects. Carries 5.
      • Stun Mines: A non-lethal alternative to the springrazor, it instead shoots out an electrical shock that could incapacitate any normal person within a few feet of it. It carries three charges, so if they keep moving it can trigger two more times before running out. Carries 3.
      • Journal: Just a book with a writing implement.
      • The Heart: A heart that Corvo can pull out of seemingly nowhere, nobody else can see it unless they are specifically able to see magical constructs. It holds the soul of his dead lover, Empress Jessamine Kaldwin, and speaks enigmatic secrets regarding the place he is in or people near him. For reference the sort of stuff it says is along the lines of "The downtrodden. The poor and forgotten. Mudlarks, beggars, and orphans. Who speaks for them?" and "Yes, this place is home to cutthroats and villains. Are you not becoming one of them?". With player permission, the sort of thing it might tell him about a person can be along the lines of "He's hungry. Right now he would like a chicken leg and a Dunwall Whiskey to wash it down" or "He brings them to where they process the whales. What's a body or two compared to the enormity of those beasts?".
  • Differences From Canon:
    • Without Emily's life at stake, this Corvo refused to sacrifice the heart to imprison Jessamine, and they instead tried to bring the tree back to the throne room. Emily gets 'killed' and Corvo is forced to resort to drastic measures to keep her alive.
    • Emily is about the same height, shoe, and glove size as Corvo.
    • Also they wear gloves.

Well, it took me a couple of days, and lots of procrastination, but I finally finished it. Let me know if there are any problems with it, because I was tired when I finished it and I can't guarantee I didn't screw up somewhere in there.

  • Name: Elesis
  • Age: 19
  • Appearance: The Bane of the Seas... and Skies... and Sometimes Land... Specially Taverns
  • Universe: Elsword
  • Personality: Elesis is a very easy-going and laidback individual, used to the simple life of the oceans and to more casual interactions with people. While she is the captain of her own ship, she does prefer to treat her crew as comrades rather than underlings, and does occasionally enjoy the friendly banter they engage in. However, she is still a good tactician and a competent fighter. Her only weakness is a peculiarly high interest in the vices the average sky raiders and sea wolves indulge in: alcohol, shiny objects, and occasionally women or men (except her crewmates). She is also keen on fire-related puns.
  • Backstory: Elesis lived a simple life alongside her younger brother Elsword in their home village, while their father served Velder Kingdom as a knight. It was during the Velder Civil War that Elesis had her first taste of combat, and it was there when she realized... she was not truly passionate about the prospect of becoming a knight. After the war was over, she took her sword and escaped from Velder by hiding in a merchant ship.
    • Unfortunately, the ship was attacked by pirates days later, forcing her to come out of her hiding spot to not only repel the raid, but also capture the pirate vessel with the help of a few brave men. This incident and the ensuing trip back to Velder were what caused her to reach the decision to aid her kingdom not by becoming a knight, but by becoming a privateer.
    • Elesis' discovery of her ability to control fire took place the night she accidentally set her first ship, the Valiant, on fire. She and the crew were able to evacuate the ship before it sank, and they were reassigned to an all-metal airship so Elesis could use her newfound power without the risk of setting the entire vessel on fire.
  • Powers and Abilities:
    • Fitness and Swordsmanship: Elesis has been training her sword combat capabilities ever since she was little, with her weapon of choice being a claymore, a two-handed sword that is just as long as she is tall. She has enough strength and skill to swing it very quickly, sometimes with only one hand, and she is also very nimble and quick on her feet, even while carrying a lot of weight.
    • Pyrokinesis: Elesis' main asset is her ability to create, absorb, and manipulate fire in virtually any way she desires. She can use it offensively in the form of fireballs, fire streams, fire walls, fire whirlwinds, engulf her sword in flames, and even give it the shape of blades or roses. This also makes her essentially fireproof.
      • The roses in particular are a special case. They are partially tangible and do not burn to the touch, but do not normally last very long.
    • Sailing and Piloting Proficiency: Elesis is well versed in comandeering both sea and air faring vessels without much difficulty. She can adapt to new vehicles, but it does take her time to learn how to pilot them.
  • Equipment:
    • Blade: Her weapon of choice. It is quite long, and clearly intended to be a two-handed weapon.
    • Tricorn: A type of hat. She wears it every so often and is quite fond of it.
    • Special Fireproof Clothing: Elesis' clothes have been designed in such a way that they will not burn down when she uses her pyrokinesis indiscriminately.
  • Differences from Canon: This version of Elesis rejected a life as a knight in exchange for the relative freedom of privateering, still serving the Velder Kingdom. Likewise, instead of discovering her powers by accidentally burning down a forest, she did so by accidentally burning down her own ship.

  • Name: Master Tigress/The Dragon Warrior

  • Age: 20s

  • Appearance: [1]

  • Universe: Kung Fu Panda (Main 3 movies and short specials)

  • Personality: After those first few years in the orphanage believing that something was wrong with her, Tigress had a hard time fully opening up to people, and is still self conscious of how others see her. She deliberately hesitates and second guesses her actions so that she doesn’t frighten anyone, and so comes off as quiet, though her emotions are usually not hard to understand. This creates an odd contrast with her appearance. However, she’s loyal to the end when it comes to her friends and family, and has a strong sense of duty to both her father’s business and her destiny as the Dragon Warrior. She’s a good listener, and enjoys cooking more than fighting by far, but will also go out of her way to help people in need without hesitation. She has a softer than usual spot for children, even if they make her nervous.

Tigress does have a temper, though her “fuse” is pretty long and once she does snap, she tends to apologize for it. When fighting, she relies more on her instincts, making her more aggressive and forward.

  • Backstory: Tigress was dropped of at Bao Gu Orphanage when she was a baby, with no sign of her parents or why they left her there. She was taken in and cared for, but her appearance, raw strength, and flashes of anger were enough to cause most of the orphanage to fear her even if she didn’t mean to scare them. The other children wouldn’t play with her, and no adults were willing to adopt her. The staff was just about to put her in an isolated room for everyone’s safety when Mr. Ping visited.

Unlike the rest of the adults who came, Mr. Ping did not seem to notice or be intimidated by Tigress’s flaws. To the rest of the orphanage’s surprise, he adopted her without much hesitation and decided that she would be his successor to the noodle shop. He gave her the new name of Tiáowén, Ti for short. While at first she had trouble learning to not break things or claw them up, Mr. Ping’s patience and dexterity began to rub off on her, and she became a fine assistant and loyal daughter. The villagers soon realized that she wasn’t dangerous at all, and treated her well despite how different she was. While word of the martial arts masters filtered down from the Jade Palace, Tigress had no real interest in Kung Fu as something she could be good at.

When a tournament to decide who the Dragon Warrior would be was announced, Mr. Ping asked his daughter to try and sell noodles at the Jade Palace for him. She took the cart up the massive staircase and got into the courtyard on time to see the whole tournament, though she was stuck in the back of the crowd. Curious to see what was going on, she climbed a tree to get a better vantage point and watched the Furious Five show off. For the first time, she understood why kung fu was considered an art-form. Just when Oogway was about to choose the Dragon Warrior, the tree branch broke under her weight, and Tigress fell down, drawing his attention. The old turtle pointed at her and declared her the Dragon Warrior, to the Furious Five and Master Shifu’s shock.

Po is deeply disappointed in himself, but Shifu took it as an insult and decided he’d get her to go back home by humiliation. Tigress completely fails the Training Hall challenge, and can’t hold her own in a sparring match with any of the Furious Five, but Po noticed that she had the makings of a fighter beneath all of her hesitation. He speaks to Master Shifu and offers to find a way to train her.

The next day, Po convinces her to try and learn kung fu again, though this time he gets her to relax enough to do what’s natural to her. Finding her long buried instincts for a moment, she starts to make progress, but still doesn’t have the confidence to face Tai Lung when word of his release from prison reaches the Jade Palace. After Master Oogway passes on, Po leads the Furious Five to intercept Tai Lung before he reaches the valley of Peace, and Master Shifu takes over Tigress’s training. He figures out the insecurities that were holding her back. After explaining that martial arts work because of the balance between power and control, the two develop Tiger Style kung fu. After days pass on, Po returns heavily injured and dragging the rest of the Furious Five behind him with news of Tai Lung’s approach. Master Shifu gives Tigress the Dragon Scroll, and they all see that it’s nothing but reflective paper. The village evacuates, and while helping Mr. Ping empty his shop, Tigress learned that the secret ingredient to his soup never existed. A new understanding of the blank Dragon Scroll hit her, and she rushed back to the Jade Palace to help Master Shifu. Tigress got to Tai Lung just as he was about to kill Master Shifu, and he chased her down the steps to the valley below.

Tai Lung tried to beat her with brute force, but her speed, reflexes, and knowledge of the village were enough for her to dodge his chi strikes and tire him out. She counter attacked in a hit and run style until he was too weak to move, and then restrained him. The villagers returned when they could no longer hear the sounds of battle, and the Valley of Peace was saved.

Later on, she gains the title of Master Tigress and assists Po and the Furious Five in saving China and the art of kung fu from Lord Shen’s cannon.

  • Powers/Abilities/Equipment:
    • Physical skills: As a tiger, her raw strength is enough to stop a charging ox or lift a giant panda without much strain. This strength is supported by her feline agility and ability to jump large distances (12 feet vertically and around 30 feet horizontally) and climb surfaces. Her claws are retractable, and her reflexes are fast enough to catch arrows being shot at her. Her paws naturally dampen the sound she makes when walking, allowing her to trail someone in near silence. She runs much faster on all fours than when standing up (30 to 40 mph across short distances), and can take a surprising amount of pain before collapsing, including a partially blocked cannonball hit. Her hearing, sight, and sense of smell are sharper than a human, but she relies mostly on the first two.

    • Tiger-style Kung Fu: Tigress is a master of this aggressive, direct, defense shattering form of combat. She stays low to the ground most of the time, but is also pretty acrobatic and can fight while airborne. Despite how hard she hits, there is a level of elegance to her movements, and can control her strength to perform more delicate tasks easily. She’s a quick study when it comes to learning other martial arts moves, and has the potential to use Chi if taught.

  • Differences From Canon:

    • Instead of Master Shifu training Tigress to control her strength and temper and then adopting her from Bao Gu Orphanage, she was adopted a couple years earlier by Mr. Ping. Po instead ended up on the doorsteps of the Jade Palace, hidden in a delivery of radish crates. Po grew up to become Master Panda, and Tigress ended up chose as the Dragon Warrior years later.

    • Tigress grew up under a slightly different name and was raised in Mr. Ping’s noodle shop, far away from the influence of kung fu and not living under the shadow of Tai Lung. Because of this, Tigress has a less forceful nature and isn’t nearly as stern or blunt.

And I'm changing out Priest because I haven't been able to get into the groove with her. Replacing her is my first choice for Ren ever that I couldn't use till now.

  • Name: Shirou Emiya
  • Age: 17
  • Appearance: "Are you ready to fight, Champion of Justice?~"
  • Universe: Fate Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya
  • Personality: A rather worn down and lemony young man colored by the events of the Fuyuki Grail War, Emiya Shirou is quite frankly someone who stopped giving a shit a long time ago. He has great disrespect for people who gets in the way of his goals and doesn't hesitate in doing his best to make his displeasure known through snark and sword. Practical and pragmatic to a great degree, fair play is but a concept to him that only serves to get a person killed faster though he does kill in order to benefit others. That said, despite his sour worldview, the man is capable of showing a soft side towards those that he considers friends and family. It is even safe to say that he "disregards the many in favor of the few", choosing to focus his devotion on people who have gained his trust and letting those unfamiliar strangers save themselves from their own folly. The greatest adversary to his enemies and the most adoring figure to his loved ones, Shirou is a person that goes to the extremes for all that he meets.
  • Backstory: His past self dying in a great fire, young Emiya Shirou was freed from the rubble of a collapsed building by one Emiya Kiritsugu, the infamous Magus Killer. Raised from his second life by the man who took on the role of both mentor and adoptive father, Shirou learned proper magecraft from the man unlike the "main" timelines as well other such important lessons such as the ideals of a "Hero". It was due to this idealism in heroics that the two would one day pick up the third member of their family, Miyu Sakatsuki: The Child of God. Due to the great powers that those of the Sakatsuki lineage wields, the two had originally meant to use her as a way to prevent any future war and human suffering from happening... until Shirou grew to regard her more as a person than a means to an end. Their bonds growing closer, Shirou soon found himself willing to raise Miyu as a human. It was after this had happened that Kiritsugu finally succumbed to his terminal illness, but not before telling his son to become a Hero.
    • After a few years of a quiet but satisfying life, the peace was shattered by the event known as the Fuyuki Grail War which was instigated by the Ainsworth Clan. Because of Miyu's importance as the perfect vessel for the Holy Grail, Shirou experienced hell on Earth as his sister was taken and his kouhai Sakura Matou was killed by one of the participants of the War, Shinji Matou. Before he too could be slain by crazed lunatic wielding the power of Assassin, Shirou reached out to the Archer Card given to him by Sakura and called upon a certain entity that he found great if not perfect synchronization with.
    • Now armed with the power to fight back, Shirou went and won the entire war by himself by slaughtering all the other Card Installers before wishing upon the Grail to transport his precious sister to a world where she didn't need to worry about such horrible things and could live freely. Of course, this bit him in the ass given he was imprisoned and used as a bargaining chip to lure the girl back home... up until the alternate universe sent in people that gave a giant middle finger to the Ainsworth's machinations and screwed up the war by reuniting both siblings together once more. He is currently enjoying the peace while he still can, knowing full well that the worst is yet to come...
  • Powers/Abilities/Equipment: Emiya Shirou is a properly trained magus this time around, and as such he has a lot more knowledge about how magecraft and Prana works while also lacking his other timeline's stupidly risky method of self-mutilating self-created Magic Circuits. As a result of this, his magecraft is much more safe and reliable to pull off with a lot less harm to his own body. On the other hand, he also lacks Avalon inside of him due to there not being a Fourth Holy Grail War before the current one.
  • Reinforcement and Structural Grasping: Originally the only set of techniques that could be reliably used by this version of Shirou along with Structural Grasping Magecraft. Reinforcement lets Shirou analyze the structural composition of an object, and increase its effectiveness, such as making it more durable or its shape more practical, or return it to its original state. He can also use it to improve upon the physical capabilities of his own body, such as his eyesight, allowing him to see as far as four kilometers away. Structural Grasp Magecraft meanwhile allows him to understand the structure and design of objects as if he were viewing a blueprint- basically letting him see inside objects as well as view their histories. With the two in hand, Shirou is capable of performing feats such as turning a cheap handheld umbrella into a shield that could ward off one of pseudo-Servant's attack or turning regular wooden rulers sharp enough to slice through steel pipes as though they were tofu.
  • Tracing: Gained from Installing the Archer Card, this allows Shirou to utilize his alternate future's self's ability to wield the Gradiation Air magecraft to great effect, which is basically creating something from almost nothing. By solidifying his Prana, the magus is able to create physical copies of objects he's seen before: usually pertaining to swords, medieval weapons, armors/shields and simple objects such as vases or chairs.Anything more complicated like say a pocket watch is going to expend way more prana than its worth since he'd have to personally craft all the various small gears that make up the whole. Shirou usually uses Tracing to create Noble Phantasms that are slightly inferior from the originals to wield though he can also copy less fantastic weapons for later usage.
    • Kanshou and Bakuya: Ganjiang and Mo Ye: His usual go-to weapons when Tracing Noble Phantasm: twin curving scimitar-like swords sporting a yin yang motif that are magnetically attracted to each other when either one or both of the paired weapons are thrown through the air, working like guided boomerangs of a sort. He can create up to three pairs of Kanshou and Bakuya at a time, wielding one while the other two are thrown about in whirlwind of violence and sharpness. They have a shamanistic quality to them due to being created from human sacrifice from their history and are reasonably enchanted enough to be more than mortal weapons while being sharp and heavy enough to cut inhuman creatures with ease. By injecting more Prana than usual into the married swords, he can grow them out into much rougher looking blades that are twice as long and jutting out with irregular feather-like sharp edges. At this point in time, these things are just short of exploding into a localized shrapnel-storm that could be used as impromptu time-bombs if he decides to go that route. Also has an anti-demon engraving that makes it hit pretty hard against such things.
    • Nine Lives Blade Works: The Shooting Hundred Heads: A Noble Phantasm taking the form of a large crudely carved out stone weapon resembling both axe and sword at once, it is made from a stone pillar from the Heracles' legend. Shirou uses this sword for when he wants to pummel things real good. Usually he has to Reinforce himself a fair deal to even lift the thing off the ground. It is a Noble Phantasm but also a technique at the same time, which allows Shirou to perform a successive series of high speed strikes to fragile parts of the body that such a large weapon shouldn't be capable of performing. The attacks are done in the order of: upper arm, collarbone, windpipe, temple, diaphragm, rib, testicles, and thighs before thrusting out at the heart.
    • Archer's Bow': A bow made from sturdy materials yet to be discovered in the modern day due to it being from the future but brought to the past. They are really enduring and you need magic or a great deal of force to break them. The Bow is used to fire off regular traced arrows or swords that have been converted into more streamlined forms to use in lieu of arrows. Shirou is incredibly accurate with the ranged weapon. The better quality the "arrow" the more force it can deliver on impact, with a salvo being able to punch through concrete walls when rapid-fired. As an added bonus, Broken Phantasms can be shot as well for big booms.
    • Caladbolg II: The Fake Spiral Sword: An altered version of the original Caladbolg sword, it is changed so it could function as an arrow even though it's a sword. Its aerodynamic and spiralling shape lets it drill through the very air itself and punch straight through a lot of defensive magics and even castle walls. After it embeds itself into something where it can't drill through anymore, if Shirou pursues the Broken Phantasm path, then it'll cause a swirling implosion that sucks in the surrounding air and matter before exploding out into an intensely hot explosion. The space carving features have been outright nerfed for Caladbolg II for the game, so now it's more of an an exploding anti-material round that can blow up a small house with ease. He can only fire off one per combat round.
  • Black Keys: Anti-vampire/demonic weapons bought at a ridiculous price from Kirei the Ramen Chef, Shirou says they're quite shitty as a weapon due to their stupidly short hilt, long blades, weight, and idiotic balance. Still, they can be useful against the right things. Usually held in a fan formation (Wolverine style in between the fingers), these odd weapons are best used thrown at high speeds towards their target. Due to Shirou being able to read their History, he knows exactly how to use them against the damned and can move like a Church Executor would.
    • Rho Aias: The Seven Rings that Cover the Fiery Heavens: The shield of Aias the Great, Rho Aias takes on the form of a seven layered barrier of hardlight flower petals that protects the user's front from harm. Each layer is pretty sturdy and can take a lot of damage before dissipating. For the purposes of the rp, maybe each layer is strong enough to tank an anti-material rifle once? Shirou can usually only call up four petals outside of UBW or Card Installing, after which he can gain the full seven layers. It's also not a sword so Tracing it into existence means Shirou has to waste three times as much Prana to keep it in play.
    • Ig-Alima: Green Field Cutting Through the Thousand Mountains (The Mountain Felling Sword) An oversized broadsword of gigantic proportions that one can use as a bridge or even a small dueling platform. It is labeled as a Divine Construct and thus really hard to break. Due to its size and heft, no one can really wield the sword in a conventional manner so Shirou usually just Traces it into existence to crush things with its weight from overhead or to use as an impromptu barricade due to it being really hard to finesse something this honking huge. It is nerfed to the maximum size down to twenty feet long and five feet wide and roughly weighs about ten tons.
      • Sul-Sagana: Another giant sword named after a Sumerian deity and a Divine Construct just like Ig-Alima, it is ten feet tall and two feet wide. Though still stupidly huge, it can actually be swung once upon summoning- doing so will launch a sword beam out from the jagged blade for a strong but unguidable-once-fired shot from the weapon in question. It's meant for destroying an area rather than a single target and is especially useful for smashing a fortification from afar though it consumes a ridiculous amount of prana for just one shot. The power behind this sword would be the same as being shot by a modern day naval bombardment.
    • Unlimited Blade Works: Infinite Creation of Swords: Shirou's Reality Marble and his ultimate trump card whereupon he projects his inner world out into the realms of reality. This takes the appearance of snowy plain with a mild blizzard, dotted with countless swords planted point first into the ground (around a block long I guess?). The user of the Reality Marble laments that the place is akin to a "graveyard" and he holds a flickering flame in his hand that depicts his burning life in the midst of coldness. UBW grants Shirou the ability to mentally control and fire off any of the swords in this plain without actually needing to touch them physically, as well as appear in the user's hands without needing to be materialized through Tracing. It is extremely Prana consuming and thus only used in the worst of situations since he's not liable to be able to do anything more physical than trying to stand after the incantation ends. Time limit of one minute and drains most of Shirou's Prana after each use. To recreate the world of Unlimited Blade Works, Shirou must call out a multiple count aria uninterrupted to summon the location to the real world. It is nerfed to simply summoning boatloads of swords and shooting them forward along with a wonderful falling snow aesthetic.
  • AU: This Shirou has been brought in from the events of Nemesis.

Rejoining back this stuff.

  • Name: Foxtrot 813
  • Age: 4 (Physically 20)
  • Appearance: "Die, mother fucker!"
  • Universe: F.E.A.R
  • Personality: During combat, Foxtrot 813 is brutal, relentless and swears so much like his fellow Replicas that it makes you wonder why Armacham programmed the Replicas with a severe case of sailor's mouth. Out of combat, it's another story. Just like his fellow Replica, which can only act like actual human beings in combat, he is stoic, professional, his interactions with non-Replicas is very awkward, often bordering on the uncanny valley, though he is attempting to understand more how a normal person interacts, and has actual thoughts about what his future would hold.
  • Backstory: Foxtrot 813 is a Variant VII Replica Soldier, the Replica Soldiers are cloned soldiers designed by Armacham Technology Corporation under the auspices of Project Perseus. The Replicas were raised in response to a Department of Defense directive for Armacham to develop genetically engineered super soldiers that could be telepathically controlled. Without a psychic commander to control them, the Replicas are stuck in a trancelike state. Foxtrot 813 was currently deactivated along with his fellow Variant VII Replicas, waiting for orders that never came.

    • Though for an unknown reason, Foxtrot 813 awoke from his stasis pod, yet he wasn't told to be awoken by a psychic commander, and he didn't received any orders in his head at all. Somehow, Foxtrot 813 managed to develop self awareness and a personality, and freeing himself from the need of being psychically controlled to be awake. Foxtrot 813 was last attempting to reach the Auburn Hospital in Fairport City to reach an extraction point of evacuation from the city, not only having to fight Variant VI Replica Forces who considered him a hostile due to being a rogue replica who developed self awareness, but also ATC forces, Nightcrawler Mercenarys and Alma's psychic apparitions.
  • Powers/Abilities/Equipment:
    • Heightened Reflexes: With the awakening of his personality and self-awareness, Foxtrot 813 somehow gained the ability to activate supernaturally fast reflexes and movement at will, which allows him to temporarily react and move 2 times faster than a normal human for 7 seconds, and it takes 1 minute of cool down before he can use the reflexes again. During the duration of the Reflexes, while Foxtrot 813 perceives the world in slow motion, to others he is moving and reacting at a fast pace.
    • Replica Soldier Armour: Compared to the Variant VI Replica Forces, which their armor mainly consisted of soft Kevlar, The Variant VII Replicas wore several varieties of prototype armor, mainly composed of hard ceramic and metallic plates, making it slight tougher than Kevlar. The helmet also has a built in HUD which tracked the Replica's vital sign, ammunition count and other things.
    • SHO Series-3 Combat Shotgun: The SHO Series-3 is a manually operated pump-action repeating explosive 10-gauge combat shotgun. It has an eight-round tubular magazine and smooth bore modified choke barrel. While the Series-3 has limited range and penetration and modest rate of fire, it is devastating at close range. Due to it's explosive shotgun shells, the results of shooting a unfortunate normal human being at point blank range would either result in dismemberment, cutting the victim in half or leaving nothing but a a cloud of red blood and gore behind.
    • Patten PK470 Assault Rifle: The Patten PK 470 is a gas operated, selective fire assault rifle that is celebrated for its ruggedness and dependability. It features an ACOG scope and 30-round magazine. It has superior range and excellent stopping power.
    • Andra FD-99 Submachine Gun: The Andra FD-99 is a lightweight, selective fire submachine gun (SMG) that fires from a closed bolt. The short barrel and folding stock make it ideal for close-quarters combat. It is a reliable, easily controlled weapon that fires a low recoil pistol cartridge. Comes equipped with a reflex sight and a high capacity magazine.
    • Differences From Canon:
    • The events of Perseus Mandate and Extraction Point are canon.
    • Foxtrot 813 gained self-awareness and a personality by himself, instead of Paxton Fettel controlling him and then possessing his body.
    • The Variant VII Replica Soldiers were never activated.

  • Name: The Point Man
  • Age: 31
  • Appearance: The First Prototype
  • Universe: F.E.A.R
  • Personality: Stoic, and profesional. The Point Man prefers to show no emotion whenever out of combat or in combat. He has a great deal of trauma that he had to deal that he hides when he was being trained and abused from birth by Armacham to become a psychic commander, and when that failed, into a super soldier. Due to being trained all his life to be a soldier, he has a hard time opening up to people or making conversations with them. Witnessing's Jin Sun-Kwon's death saddened him greatly and made him start hating the Replica Soldiers from delaying him from rescuing her.
  • Backstory:
The Point Man is the first son of Alma Wade, a powerful psionic, who was forced to carry and give birth to him as part of ATC's Project Origin. The Point Man's powers were not as ATC personnel had hoped, and his quick reflexes were surgically enhanced under orders from Armacham president Genevieve Aristide, to recoup the fiscal losses after he failed as a psychic commander. He was sent into the military and then into First Encounter Assault Recon, a special forces division of the US army that deals with paranormal threats, upon Aristide's request.
  • Powers/Abilities/Equipment:
    • Dual Rakow AT-14 Pistol: The AT-14 Pistol is a basic semi-automatic sidearm, The Point Man is trained to dual wield them effectively.
    • HV Penetrator:The Armacham 10mm High Velocity Penetrator is a weapons-grade nail gun, firing 10mm steel stakes at lethal speeds, these are extremely painful and are useful against armoured forces.
    • Baksha ASP Rifle: The Baksha ASP Rifle is a burst firing, scoped battle rifle of bullpup design. that has 3 fire burst and and is armed with a 3x scope which allows for sniping capability.
    • Heightened Reflexes: Though the Point Man, despite being born from one of the strongest psychics, has little to no psychic powers, the only psychic power he has is his superhuman reflexes, which he can activate his supernaturally fast reflexes and movement at will, which allows him to temporarily react and move 2 times faster than a normal human for 7 seconds, and it takes 1 minute of cool down before he can use the reflexes again. During the duration of the Reflexes, while The Point Man perceives the world in slow motion, to others he is moving and reacting at a fast pace.
    • D-12 Heavy Body Armor: Standard issue armor for F.E.A.R forces, this armor protects the wearer very well from bullets or impact in general.
    • Superhuman Strenght and Endurance: While he lacks in psychic powers, it's compensated with his superhuman endurance and strenght, making him dangerous in melee combat and allowing him to take a good deal of damage.

  • Differences From Canon:
    • This Point Man is from the same AU as Foxtrot
    • This Point Man has an actual personality and is not a Silent Protagonist.
    • In this AU, He and Jin Sun-Kwon had an open relationship together and , and witnessing her death by Replica Soldiers saddened and angered him, making him hate the Replica Soldiers from stopping his rescue...which will make this a trouble when he meets Foxtrot.

Name: 9S (technically Yorha type something or other, but he won't make a fuss)

Age: Android

Appearance: Best kiss boy. Lacks the bandanna. Sports some different outfit or another.

Universe: Nier: Auto tomatoes

Personality: Unlike most androids of his corp, 9S is emotional to a fault. On the surface, he's usually about the friendliest bloke you'll ever meet; cheerful, willing to extend a helping hand to people around him, and extraverted. But in contrast to his social attitude, he's also an extremely cynical man...boy...android thing, though he doesn't typically show it. A lifetime of slow-baked sorrow and hellish circumstances left him with barely any hope for his future to cling to, typically using his sense of duty and humor to keep chugging. Though he hides it behind good cheer and is normally able to keep a handle on himself, 9S has issues galore with suppressed anger which he's more than happy to take out on whatever or whoever he considers to be his enemies. He's capable of switching from happy go lucky to coldly pragmatic at the drop of a hat. Despite his persona and his fairly lenient innate nature, he's a fighter bred for hardship and cold calculated actions at the whims of his superiors at his core. Rather than being a case of the former hiding the latter, these two aspects are both 9S's true face, and he struggles with the internal conflict they often breed. His beliefs and his passions tear at him, and as a result is far more conflicted than what his creators probably wanted.

Post ending so basically my own spin on things from there on out: He's deeply disturbed and nihilistic, unsure if there's any meaning left to his existence or if there ever really was in the first place. On top of that, he's grown painfully aware of what he's capable of when the gloves come off and the hidden emotions come out. An irrational creatures governed by his emotions, 9S no longer has any confidence in himself and believes that just by being who he is he'll inevitably lead everything around him to ruin. His anger and confusion at the world is the same as ever, but he's determined not to let something like the events of the game happen again. Lost and confused in a new world that he feels he isn't fit for, 9S is desperate for meaning to take hold of him again, to encounter SOME validation that he isn't just a tempestuous ball of destruction waiting to explode. On the bright side, post game he's at least gained some perspective both on himself and the rest of the world and is rather humbled by it. Though the cost was his own sense of worth, he's no longer a happily violent man capable of tearing his enemies apart without guilt creeping up inside. He's more willing to let himself forgive others and to see other people's viewpoints, and will go out of his way to protect anything he finds that he thinks is innocent or undeserving of the harsh world he lives in.

Also he quite likes humans, for the record. Literally programmed into him, that. Hates sand; it's coarse and sticky and it gets everywhere in his shoes. Curious af, always down for learning new exciting things to the point where he'll pretty much immediately forget anything else when he's discovering something new. That unique drive for self learning is why he's capable of fighting in the first place, since it was all self taught.

Backstory: Combat android (an ACTUAL android, unlike the rest of those poor-english-using 'female androids' ) who was built to...alright let's just be simple and say he was trying to liberate earth from alien robots for mankind who had fled to the moon (alright maybe simple was a pipe dream). Originally built for non combat purposes — S units or scanners are more for scouting / hacking / spying / basically everything besides fighting — he darn well decided he'd teach himself the fighting part of the job too at some point. To put the entire thing easily (and spoiling how the game goes, here's your warning), the war is long and tiring and his own side kicks him around a lot, everything goes to hell right when it seems it's getting good until he's the only Yorha android left, he finds out he and all his loved ones were basically made to die by command of his higher ups, he goes bonkers from all that nonsense and tries to genocide the opposition and blow up his own commanders/remnants of humanity on the moon, doesn't quite manage to accomplish that and kinda dies off. Least he manages to make peace with the machines before the end though and realizes how stupid he's been, which is a pretty big reason why I elected to write him as being more angry at himself than anything else in this version. Gets brought back to life after the machines fuck off to outer space, along with his companion 2B.

In this alt verse off, I'm running with my own version of what happens after that. He wakes up first since his ressurectors eventually decide he'd probably want a moment to come to terms with himself before anything else, he slowly digests all the truths he's been exposed to the last couple of hours (from his perspective) and decides to fuck off before anyone else wakes up. Partially because he feels like he's going to have a big target on his back now and he doesn't want to cause anyone else trouble, mostly because he doesn't know what to do with himself now/ if he should even have been brought back to life, and refuses to return back to his old life until he can find his own answer to those questions. Then um...game happens.

Powers/Abilities/Equipment:

  • Power:
    • Dat android bod: Androids are stronger, faster, and tougher than humans. Like they're literally always portrayed in fiction. Show me one instance where an android wasn't portrayed as physically superior in anything ever, and I'll show you to my mom's house. He doesn't really need to eat, breathe or sleep though he enjoys all of that; his body relies purely on water intake and sunlight. Weather isn't really a bother to him either, though since he's partially solar powered he'll eventually suffer stamina losses if he's ever in a location devoid of light for long periods of time. Like the rest of his bunch, he doesn't usually get tired, he can full-body punch a big heavy machine through a wall, and can...run and dodge quickly...Also weighs 129.9kg.

    • Inertia drive: Can manipulate his own inertia for short ranged dashes and emergency dodges.

    • Electromagnetic drive: 9S's internal system is useful for things from wireless communication to levitating small to medium metal objects nearby. Primarily uses this to fight with his swords for some reason, probably for the extra range.
      • In this alt verse I boosted it up some so that he can also basically use it as decent metal-telekinesis for some extended combat variety, mostly because his hacking abilities which used to be his whole thing aren't nearly as useful in a setting where most people aren't robots so this'll help balance things out a bit for the new setting. Be like Pyrrha from RWBY.

    • Hackerman: While pretty much all of the abilities below are skills that he learned over time, he's innately equipped to be less of a Dante and more of a...[insert badass hacking character here]. As the most advanced android ever built, his computing power is immense and specialized to easily and very quickly get through cyber defenses and the like. To other machines where he comes from, 9S is a hilariously terrifying soldier who can do the equivalent of making your head explode by getting within a few dozen feet of you. To everyone else, he's just good at messing with whatever computer systems you have on board. For more IT related goals, he's a security expert's worst nightmare who can infect computer systems like a subtle but overwhelming virus if he gets to plug himself in. On the flip side, he's exceedingly difficult to damage with hacks or viruses himself. Not really sure how powerful this is considered in this game. I'm assuming 'actually not very' + no just breaking into the heads of other PC's if they happen to also be robots. Against non mooks it'll be a slower process of disabling individual features/debuffing them but not overpowering them. For gameplay purposes this'll probably look like one of those willpower struggle things if he tries to hack an actual enemy rather than a literal computer.

  • Abilities:
    • Close combat capabilities: 9S has trained himself diligently throughout the years in the art of warfare. By now, the only other android that stands a reasonable chance against him in a straight up fight is unit A2. A master swordsman/hammerman/whatever.

    • Long range weapons: Hasn't had much experience with things like personal firearms due to the technology not being used where he's from, but the equivalents exist in other ways in his verse. At the least he's very good at lining up shots and aiming quickly; give him some time with an actual gun and he'll probably pick it up.

    • Quick learner and adaptional intelligence: Probably doesn't count, but for the record he's very quick at picking new things up and adjusting for new situations.

  • Equipment:
    • Not much; in this alt version he pretty much abandoned anything related to his Yorha past from the getgo, meaning his unique weapons were all left behind. Picked up some basic, non descriptive swords after that. Got some fineass travelling boots.

Differences From Canon: I'm basically making up what happens to him/ what his character is like 10 seconds after the game ends, that's what. Also like I said, I tweaked his powers a bit to fit a variable verse better.

Dark Sun, what choices have I...?

  • Name: Perry the Platypus (former codename: Agent P)
  • Age: 5 (physical adult)
  • Appearance: varying degrees of aquaticness
  • Universe: Phineas and Ferb DOOF n' PUSS [[[in sound]]]
  • Personality: The Comically Serious, as most people will quickly notice, without much fondness for antics...well, usually. He isn't above fun when it presents itself, even if in undercover work he doesn't much like ridiculousness. Perry also has a way of communicating without words, including (unsurprisingly) biting snark, as one would have to be without the luxury of spoken English. The straight man to Doof's wise guy, basically, along with being close partners (hue hue).
  • Backstory: A former special forces agent moonlighting as a stage magician, Perry was forced on the run through spacetime after a frame job that left him wanted for the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. And that probably would've been the end of it, if not for a chance encounter with time traveling rogue trillionaire inventor Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz. Seeing his chance to escape the misguided wrath of the law, Perry fled with him to the 1980s US, settling in the Tri-State Area. Together, They Fight Crime!
  • Powers/Abilities/Equipment:
    • He's skilled in close combat, able to hold his own armed or unarmed, though probably isn't stronger than the average human.
    • Has a knack for stage magic. Such a knack, in fact, that he experiences no ill effects from being sawed in half and both halves of him can fight separately. This includes being an impressive Escape Artist.
    • In accordance with the anatomy of male platypuses (platypi? platypeople?), has a venomous spur on each hind leg, that can incapacitate a grown human. Is somehow able to control whether any such venom is released.
    • His hat is his own personal bag of holding which can carry whatever is smaller than the bottom. Currently he has a pair of scissors, some cards, and a wallet with personal items kept inside. It can also be turned into a circular saw or used like a boomerang. Also on his person but not in the hat specifically is a grappling hook pistol, which does what it sounds like it does.
    • Can drive car-sized hovercraft, apparently. Oh, and also normal motor vehicles.
  • Differences From Canon: This Perry is from the in-show Doof n' Puss show pitch made by canon Doof in one episode. The proposed series was a pastiche of 80's action/crime serials, starring himself and Doof.

  • Name: Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz
  • Age: 47
  • Appearance: self-insert? I see no such thing
  • Universe: Phineas and Ferb DOOF n' PUSS [[[in sound]]]
  • Personality: Technically brilliant, what with his inventing prowess, he is nonetheless kind of...well, a doof, with a few points missing in sense. It doesn't stop him from personing, but it does result in the odd occurrence of stupid shit. The wise guy to Perry's straight man, along with their close partnership (ahem). He's also fairly chill when not crossed, albeit at times overdramatic and easily sidetracked.
  • Backstory: An EXTREME FIGHTING champion and wealthy inventor from a distant dystopian future where malevolent AI have conquered humanity, a desire to explore time and space (and undermine his evil robot overlords) prompted him to create a time machine and travel the ages. Encountering Perry on a bus to a state prison by chance, Doof decided to settle with him in the 1980s US, at least for a time. Together, They Fight Crime!
  • Powers/Abilities/Equipment
    • A brilliant inventor, able to construct bullshit superscience inventions inators in the space of a few minutes...provided some tools and materials to work with. Warning: has a compulsive need to put self-destruct buttons on everything he makes. The resultant explosions are strangely harmless to people, in themselves, but property destruction is still a given.
    • His background in martial arts has also given him a prowess for close combat, whether hand-to-hand or with improvised weapons, though is around normal if well-trained human strength levels.
  • Differences From Canon: This Doof is from the in-show Doof n' Puss show pitch made by canon Doof in one episode. The proposed series was a pastiche of 80's action/crime serials, starring himself and Perry.

Yeah I'm not really feeling Archangel much anymore. I have a few other AU ideas that I'll be replacing him with but that will be later when I feel up to sit down and write a sheet [lol]. As for now, if you could mark off Archangel as being no longer active or whatnot, that would be swell Makaioh. Thank you.

This is just a character I'm placing in reserve, and I'm fairly sure I'm forgetting something or that something I haven't thought out needs lots of clarification, but then that's what the signup process is for, yeah?

  • Name: Ammy / Furball / Snowy / Amaterasu-no-Ōkami
  • Age: At least centuries, but probably millennia
  • Appearance: The Great August Cuteness Illuminating Heaven
  • Universe: Okami
  • Personality: Ammy possesses what you might call a sunny disposition. In normal situations, she is cheerful, kind, patient, and just all-around benevolent in general. Though regal in appearance and mannerism, she is conversely a rather casual person and does not mind the likes of nicknames or being referred to sans titles. She does not even mind bluntness, so long as the speaker does not intend to be rude. Against a malevolent force such as a demon, however, her shine vanishes in favor of an intense, burning anger fueled by righteous fury. She is not the type to engage in overkill on her opponents, but she does like to take the shortest route possible, and a direct approach is her usual method of problem solving. She is also somewhat vain, takes immense pleasure in being praised, and remembers insults, though she never allows this to overtake her better nature in questions of preserving life and so on. She's also a vegetarian.

  • Backstory: Amaterasu was born the same way as all Celestial gods, on the Celestial Plain, of course! Unsurprisingly for a race of peaceful alien superbeings advanced in both magic and technology, life in the Celestial Plain was pretty much a utopia. Amaterasu oversaw its growth into such a paradise personally, making the decision to power their lifestyle through Praise from the humans who lived on the planet below. Praise is a nebulous energy source predicated on both gratitude and faith, you see, much like pixie dust, so the Celestials harvested such energy by lending their aid to the mortals living below, and were rewarded in turn with gratitude and worship. Transactional, yes, but everybody was pretty much content with it, and everybody especially loved Amaterasu herself, so the two peoples and their neighboring Tribe of the Moon lived together in harmony... until, one day, the Army of Darkness attacked.

Forced to flee the destruction of her beloved home, Amaterasu concealed herself among the peoples of Nippon and waited centuries for a chance to finally strike back at the darkness. When that chance finally arrived and she managed to fell the dread eight-headed serpent with the aid of a human hero, the goddess was fatally wounded during the battle. Slowly making her way back to the village she had saved, she perished soon after, and the villagers erected a statue that was her spitting image to honor her sacrifice. Conveniently, it was from this statue that she was revived centuries later, when all other hope against the dark tide seemed lost. Thereafter, she went on a long adventure with a bug-sized companion to vanquish the demoic horde once and for all and to undo the evil that was Yami, Ruler of Darkness. Also, the demons were aliens too, big surprise.

  • Powers/Abilities/Equipment:
    • Celestial Body: Ammy is sharp of claw and swift of foot, and can even run on foot indefinitely as long as she is praised, though she does still need her sleep. Moreover, trails of phantom grass and phantom flowers spring in her wake after her running speed reaches a certain threshold. Ammy also has all the bonuses of being a wolf with none of the drawbacks! She has keen hearing, a great sense of smell, a cute tail, and being scratched behind the ears feels great! Especially strong odors or especially annoying noises beyond human olfactory and auditory capacity do disturb her to an appropriate degree, though.
    • Celestial Divinity: Essentially a personal forcefield at the exterior edge of Ammy's body, her Divinity blocks and completely absorbs exactly one attack. However, it cannot be replenished afterward except by the means of specially prepared, holy paper charms or by doing something awe-inspiringly awesome.
    • Celestial Brush (and Canvas): The greatest of Ammy's powers, this allows her to effectively pause her personal perception of time for several seconds and observe her environment in a full 360 degree, third-person view. Time does not actually stop, but this allows her effectively several seconds of time to look at that moment in time near herself. She cannot see through obstacles such as walls, however. Moreover, the scene becomes a canvas which she can use her Celestial Brush upon to enact various miracles, detailed below. The only such miracle not detailed is the creation of shooting stars in open patches of sky, which she can do with ease by just making a bunch of dots, and the "miracle" of just remotely drawing on things with an invisible brush. Physically speaking, the brush itself is actually her tail (even though it metaphysically exists somewhere "outside" the "canvas"), so if her tail is injured, her brush will likewise be inoperable or shaky.
      • Sunrise: Creates a temporary orb of light high in the sky that emanates sunlight. Requires line of sight to the sky to draw.
      • Restoration: Restores broken objects and structures of indeterminate size and also recreates lost objects in the proper context, but cannot replicate complex mechanisms.
      • Power Slash: Cuts horizontally or diagonally in a straight line with entirely adjustable sharpness, the least strength the equivalent of lightly slapping somebody and the max strength enough to slice iron with ease.
      • Greensprout (Bloom, Water Lily, Vine): Creates and manipulates plants according to the local environs, in short. Beyond this, can specifically and generically create flowers and grass, create enormous, sturdy lilypads, and manipulate vines to pull and move things and people.
      • Cherry Bomb: Holy shit, Ammy, a bomb. It explodes with a little ground-level fireworks display of about five-foot radius and the paper-like exterior erupts into strands of colorful confetti, but it's still a bomb, and she can create up to three of them.
      • Waterspout: Manipulates water into a stream following the line drawn without disrupting the original source of the water. Can also create a personal raincloud in varying sizes, about five feet in diameter at maximum.
      • Crescent: Like Sunrise, but with a crescent and moonlight instead of a sun and sunlight.
      • Galestorm: Creates gusts of wind varying in strength from light to gale-like in the direction chosen, lasting about five seconds.
      • Inferno: Manipulates fire into a stream following the line drawn without disrupting the original source of the fire. Can also create a floating orb of fire in varying sizes, about five feet in diameter at maximum.
      • Veil of Mist: Creates a mist localized to near Ammy which seems to slow time for several seconds (that is, several seconds of Ammy's slowed time). Can also create regular old mist.
      • Catwalk: Creates glowing pawprint trails emanating from Kabegami statues which allow one to walk on and stick to the surface painted upon as if it were the ground.
      • Thunderbolt: Manipulates lightning/electricity into a stream following the line drawn without disrupting the original source of the lightning/electricity. Can also drop a Zeus-like, crackling physical thunderbolt from thin air in varying sizes, about five feet in diameter at maximum.
      • Blizzard: Manipulates ice into a stream following the line drawn without disrupting the original source of the ice. Can also create a slab of ice in varying sizes, about five feet in diameter at maximum.
    • Celestial Clothing: Due to magical faith-based goddess powers, Ammy can transform her clothes to and between various styles of traditional Japanese garb almost instantly (while this BGM plays)!
    • Celestial Pouch: A pouch she keeps at her waist. A bag of holding that doubles as a purse and a wallet! Incredible!
    • Celestial Weapons: An assortment of five chakram-like discs, five sword-like glaives, and five bullet-bead firing rosaries which she can summon and dismiss at will, though she can only have two total out at any one time. Some of these have elemental affinities which she can piggyback her brush techniques off of.
    • Fire Tablet: Confers the bearer considerable elemental resistance to fire. Astounding!
    • Water Tablet: Allows the bearer to walk on water. Amazing!

  • Differences From Canon: Ammy incarnated as a woman with wolf ears and tail instead of a huge wolf! Woof woof! The actual legs of her quest were much the same, but she had to navigate them with different legs instead, and her interactions with the people of Nippon were different as a result. Not bad, per se, just different. For example, it's both easier and in some ways more difficult to increase faith in the gods when you, a goddess, are personally helping people in a guise that looks pretty much like themselves — especially if you're effectively mute and have to engage in miming out your words to supplement the boisterous proclamations of your overeager, totally-not-an-artist helper. But hey, at least having opposable thumbs means you can write out messages! Some of the time. Whenever the oft-illiterate populace can make out what you just wrote in your archaic, flowery calligraphy.

    Ammy had a hard life.

  • Name: Android 21
  • Age: Unknown, been active after bodily reconstruction for ten years.
  • Appearance: The literal good side in her full glory.
  • Universe: Dragon Ball Fighter Z
  • Personality: The kind and motherly side of Android 21 after she literally split herself from her more negative influence via fission, this is what she would be if unburdened (too much) by the ever gnawing hunger programmed into her very genetic code. She tends to be a bit socially awkward and easily surprised due to the fact she doesn't have much life experience outside of a lab, but the woman has a quiet determination to try to do the right thing and get along with people in general.
  • Backstory: Back in the days of yore when a certain monkey tailed alien child singlehandedly dismantled a certain paramilitary criminal organization called the Red Ribbon Army, the seeds of hatred were sown into the hearts of a certain Dr. Gero who would then use his considerable genius to try to kill said alien via the usage of SCIENCE. Results were mixed bag since the alien was killed in a roundabout way due to the events but he came back to life anyways.
    • Related to this event that involved cyborgs, androids, and genetic monstrosities is our dear girl in question. Even after the death of the doctor, his invention diligently followed its programming to cobble together an anti-Saiyan weapon of the highest pedigree by splicing together the DNA of the world's most notorious and powerful fighters. Thus marked the creation of Android 21, the forgotten experiment herself.
    • After causing quite a bit of a global ruckus involving energy damping waves to make the strong much weaker, churning out artificial souls, and an army of terrorist clones, Android 21 turned over a new leaf when she accidentally destroyed the robot stand-in for her son of a previous life through the urging of her darker side- which she solved by splitting herself in half literally so that the negative influence was now cast off. Teaming up with the legendary Z Fighters, she then got to work on rectifying her mistakes in the most explosive way possible. Nowadays she uses her genius to help out at Capsule Corp along with Bulma.
  • Powers/Abilities/Equipment: Both a capable fighter and a booksmart genius, Android 21 combines both brains and brawns into one affordable package. Stong enough to physically punch holes in brick walls and jump multiple stories in one bound as well as dead-lift a light car. With a physical composition that's about as strong as Ranma, she's a force to be reckoned with though due to her weakening even mundane things such as bullets and blades tend to inflict suitable damage on her a lot more easily than if she was at her former level. She has no actual set fighting style and sort of instinctively just engages in combat with what she thinks is the best call.
    • Ki Manipulation: She can project ki outside of her body to hover a foot above the ground or forcibly launch herself in a forward direction at high speeds as well as fire the legendary Dragonball energy beams or project the flashy power aura. General rule of thumb for projectiles is that anything that takes faster than a second to shoot out will only have the power of a baseball being shot from a pitching machine and the longer she charges up before letting loose the stronger and longer lasting the energy becomes with her strongest being a continuous beam/explosive ball with the force of a wrecking ball/landmine/hydrocutter behind it if she gets like five seconds to gather her energy uninterrupted. Shooting off that much energy means that she gets a lot more tired.. and hungry.
      • Transformation, Limited Shapeshifting, and Limited Magic: 21's strongest form is her Majin appearance, where she gains all the exotic features and powers that come from it. Nowadays she tries to use not to use it if she could help it due to the fact it spikes up her hunger (to the point where she burns a lot of stamina trying to sustain said form and also starts eyeing possible eats) but if she does there's a few gimmicks that come from it.
      • The ability to stretch her limbs like rubber is one as well as heal much quicker (Lady levels) and absorb impact damage is a staple of this form along with the power to shoot a reconfiguration ray at something to turn it into any sort of dessert she wants. The ray's effect only works on living things or inorganic objects with some sort of power source that in simple terms got wreckt and thus can't really fight against the effect. Generally this means something's either dead or messed up to the point where they're outright immobile or almost dead. The more powerful the object, the more likely that Android 21 might be able to gain a weakened version of their ability like Velvet's case. (This requires the permission of the other G Ms before the ability gaining effect can happen). She can also use magic to make clothes for her form change too.
    • Genius Intellect: Having the disposition of a genius through artificial means, Android 21 can tinker with the best of them. She's most skilled with robotics, chemistry, and the biological sciences given that she could create powerful androids and clones of strong warriors given time and resources, though she can create a whole deal of other stuff that's often twenty years ahead of what we can currently achieve such as laser guns, detectors that can sense non-mundane energies, workable nanomachines, and so on. She can also create the spiffy little capsules from her universe which are a sort of mass storing technology that can can put entire houses into a portable thumb-sized container with a click of a button.
  • Differences From Canon: Unlike the Android 21 from the game universe, Android 21 was able to survive past the ending of the 'good route' by dint of electing to do a Solar Flare rather than tackling her evil self and then perishing alongside that bad girl under the power of a Spirit Bomb. As a result, she was able to stick around in the world of the living and come up with a way to make herself as small a threat as possible in the possibility that her hunger and powers would go out of control once more by injecting herself with energy dampening nanomachines that strictly limited her to a certain level of power. As a result of that, she managed to snag herself a job at Capsule Corp as a researcher with the occasional trip out into the wilderness to turn giant wildlife into sweets to sate her hunger. Also the fact that she fights in her human form instead of exclusively the Majin form like in the game.

TruthHurts22 That One Gal from her own little world Since: Mar, 2013 Relationship Status: Faithful to 2D
That One Gal
#398: Feb 9th 2018 at 9:23:34 PM

Let's see how this all goes.

  • Name: Agent Black (real name: Royal)
  • Age: Looks to be a young adult around his 20's, could be up to his hundreds.
  • Appearance: Something like this. That's a coat he's wearing, for the record.
  • Universe: Iconoclasts
  • Personality: Black is a pretentious, melodramatic kid who is used to things going his way. He's fostered a heightened sense of importance due to his powers and role in society, and as such he assumes people will listen to him no matter what. Black can also be quite demanding, ordering those he sees as 'less' than himself even if they hold no allegiance to him. It all comes from a good place, though; Black is genuinely helpful and friendly, and his self-assurance is only as bad as it is because he is above most others in terms of status. He just doesn't understand any other way of living other than what he is. Black is also very sympathetic, and has shirked his responsibility a few times in order to help others.
  • Backstory: Agent Black is a special force of the One Concern - a militarized force that enforces the law of the land. As a Concern Agent, Black's duties are to root out those that go against the rules, ie people who practice a profession on their own and without an assigned job. Agents are also privy to things most others are kept in the dark on. Things such as the impending end of the world and Mother's plan to save only a small fraction of the population. Agent Black is forced to hold this secret, even though he would rather find a solution to protect humankind instead of the select few who unquestionably follow Mother (not that Black is wholly against her, of course). Holding his tongue has caused him no end of emotional turmoil, culminating in his actions during a particular job: a girl named Robin, a private mechanic on the outskirts of Settlement 17, whose father was killed by Black's fellow agent, Grey. Black went alone to Robin and, in a state of anxiety and worry, allowed the girl to flee, thinking that the little time she had left should be spent doing what she loved.
    • Now Agent Black is waiting, unsure of what actions to take to save his dying world.
  • Powers/Abilities/Equipment: Due to being a Concern Agent, Black has obtained outstanding powers, well beyond that of a human.
    • Strength & Agility: Agent Black possess amazing fighting potential: speed, reflexes, durability, and strength are all of superhuman levels - around Super Weight 3 for reference. Agent Black is exceptionally strong, as Transcending had taken his arms, thus allowing him to be fit with sturdy prosthetic limbs.
    • Regeneration: Since Black's source of power comes from the special Ivory in place of blood, he is able to absorb the energy around himself to heal. Healing himself is not instant, however, so he must stay in one place in order to fully restore his wounds.
  • Differences From Canon:
    • In the original canon, Royal was the heir to Mother (the grand leader through which their deity spoke), with all the prestige and power that comes with the title. Agent Black was an entirely separate character. As both Royal and Black originally came to be how they are through use of the same device, here their places have been switched: the real Agent Black instead became Mother's heir, while Royal took over as Agent Black. Thus, Royal has lost both his arms (like the canon Black did) and had them replaced with prosthetics, as well as suffering from frequent chest pains.
    • Being much friendlier than the canon Agent Black, Royal allowed Robin (the protagonist of Iconoclasts) to escape without being pursued, thus inadvertently stopping the long line of events that would ultimately save their world and overthrow Mother's regime.
