Hello everyone, I just wanted to share my takes on mythical creatures and your thoughts on them. Now first of all I wanted to take liberties on the folklore of each beast and flip them upside a little and yes I will used those stereotypical image of them as well. For my first take I'm gonna introduced to you the fae.

as I said before my take on them would be akin to the common and received view of them but with a twist, my fairies kinda look like humans but with pointy ears, eyes and hair that can be of any color(depending on the type) and have wings that appear when needed. The one thing that might set them apart is that fae have a magitech tribal culture. They're each divided into tribes or clans each assigned a element(water, fire, air, flora, and spirit etc). each tribe has differing cultures and customs which is somewhat unique to that one tribe. The few things each tribe have in common is being in harmony and tranquility with nature.
If any of you have questions or ideas or feedback, I'll be glad to reply

Vampires...specifically the source of all vampires. They're these lanky beings who's ivory exterior makes them seem like china dolls, have a varied appearance(though keep a humanoid form throughout) and feed by turning their fingers into suckers. As a sort of super-vampire, they feed off supernatural beings like the fey and angels(who are around the same rank in my fantasty mythology)

[up] Dracula is done different here. Most suggest he is the origin of vampires. Here, he is the latest of the "alpha vampires." The original vampire was created by these above super-vampires, long before even the human species existed. When they were killed, their vampiric essence is transferred to their killer, and so on. Alpha vampires have a resistance to silver(still allergic, but it's much better than the Wound That Will Not Heal of normal vampires), and can survive if their head is destroyed(but not if the heart is). They also get a cool dragon transformation.

Dracula was originally Vlad the Impaler, who while a Knight Templar was a hero to his people and a good king for the 15th century. In 1475, he slew the Alnwick Vampire, the previous alpha vampire, not knowing what he was getting himself into. Some 50 years later he went full Fallen Hero, and a recurring villain until his final death in 1893(aged 462).

I got the idea from the centaur as presented in Fallout, as strange mutated skinless and armless creatures with several arm-like legs underneath them, you can simply look them up. The unicorn is a creature made of several parasites in the form of limbs that feed on eachother, and their blood, but due to the parasites feeding on eachother, the energy and blood flows throughout the various creatures in a perfect cycle, allowing for a creature known as the unicorn. Its fur is white due to the fact that the parasites are strange albino creatures, the horn is formed from a bone in the chief parasite, which takes the form of the head, and the manes are made of physical blood from the parasites, and it does not absorb color, but instead reflects many, despite the fact that it should seem white. These unicorns are also carnivorous, but not really as dangerous as something akin to a tiger. More like a carnivorous hippo.

TL;DR-Unicorns are fucked up hippo parasites.

The abstract confuses us all, but the settings on the DVR confuses us all in secret.

Hey. Here's more info I guess. This is basically my take on fairies by the way.

  • Name: fy'avi( or fey or fairy)
  • Creation and Evolution: the first fy'avi were born from a tree that was now magierra where the 6 fey of spirit, water, fire, air, earth, and shadow had brought new meaning to the desolate landscape. Homelands were forged under their feet as they each give their own touch to them. After their was done, the 6 fey gods had dispersed into seeds which planted the beginning of the fy'avi each assigned a element from which land they a originated from. Fy'avi had live into believing there was nothing out there but their own universe until they learned of the existence of another world, earth. The fy'avi had become curious of the creatures called human lived there. They observed their ways and lived among them and even stayed their. That's until hateful humans he slowly distrusted them came along. They're nearly I had killed the colonies of fey leading them to leave earth and never returned. They had made a promise that interactions with humans were to be cut but some fy'avi still remain with a few humans becoming inspired to write tales about them.
  • Appearance: their basically like humans save for a few differences. Fey are a little taller than humans and more attractive with pointy ears and varying tribal like markings. Their hair can come in variety of colors depending on which type of fey they are. They have wings but most of the time their hidden and only show up when they need them to fly or do other stuff. Lastly, some fey like for example water fey may have features that make them stand out like gills or fur.
  • Personality traits: all fey have different personalities but for the most they care deeply for each other and believe in working in harmony with nature to achieve there goals. To other races however, they can sometimes be a bit savage and some types of fey are more war-like then others.
  • Culture and Society: as said before, each culture is different but for simplicity sake, I'll give you the basic. Fy'avi society revolves around using nature and it's spirits to its up most potential. They're kind values and respects what mother Gaia give them and usually prays to her after hunting a animal. During mating season, fy'avi may show off their wings in a bit of courtship dance to lure in a potential( regardless of sex since well most fy'avi are bi or pan). however, some fy'avi may just do a ceremony akin to wedding to vow their partner ship for love .They're eggs are usually put into nurseries to ensure protection from the outside world due to how fragile the eggs can be and when the time comes for the eggs to hatch, the caregivers would message the entire village to gather around and see which baby is theirs.
  • Habitat: the fy'avi are quite adaptable to their surroundings no matter where they are. They usually can be found in forest, up in the trees, in swamps and grasslands, cold tundra and tropical forest and desert.
  • Abilities: depending on the fey, each is assigned a element depending on which tribe they hail from. The majority of fy'avi usually have around one element but there have been cases of fey wielding more than one element yet are quite rare amongst the fy'avi. They also are able to heal plants and animals with their fairy dust which also be used for minor means of magic.
  • Friends and Foes: the unseelie clan is at best indifferent with rest of the fey but tension is still brimming between them. The other races are seen at best as competition for resources and land and are not fond with the fey. They do have a few allies like dwarves and gnomes (halfling), and the occasional dragons.
  • Unique Traits: not much really, if you count the whole being harmony with nature and being able to communicate with nature spirits and animals thing
Role in the story: they're the focal point of how the blight queen ended up in a prison dimension for centuries. The main characters can transform into them as well as I form of their legendary warriors, the guardians of nature.

Angels are a different breed in this 'verse. They are all descended from Yhaviel, a Physical God and one of the main representatives of the seven/eight Cosmic Entities I've mentioned in another forum. There is no God equivalent in this universe; they are a culture of supernatural beings who have dwelled on Earth since the dinosaurs. They are The Ageless, but can be killed(still pretty difficult).

They are not Always Lawful Good; they can be snobbish, elitist and wary of humans without being fallen. Often characterized as the snobs of the paranormal. They live in a massive conical tower, bigger than any mountain. They can reproduce, but do not reproduce with one another because they consider each other relatives, as direct creations of Yhaviel. Demons are fallen angels, but often get kicked out either because they tire of their blue-blooded ways or enjoy human passions. Angels are often characterized as tight-asses, and they have a fierce rivalry with Djinn. They are composed of the following classes:

  • Cherubim: The warriors of the group, led by Archangel Michael. Depending on their speciality, they have the head and other body features of a man, an ox, a lion or a sheep. Their leader, Archangel Michael, has all four. As per the original description, they have four wings and many arms underneath them, and eyes across the body.
  • Seraphim: These angels are in charge of the power source, energy requirements and food of the angels. They are serpent beings with six wings, and are entirely composed of hot plasma. Their temperatures can reach well over 15,000 K, and the brighter they are the higher the rank. Naturally, they almost never interact with humans. They were led by Lucifer, but we know what happened to him and are now led by Archangel Uriel.
  • Ophanim: These angels are big old wheel creatures, just like the Book of Ezekiel describes them. They do all the manual labor of the angels, and are commanded by Archangel Tzadkiel
  • Malakhim: The standard angel you think about; the ones that send messages and communicate with humans, serving as the diplomats of the angels. They are giant humanoids of varying appearances, all having a mechanical feel. They are commanded by Archangel Gabriel.
  • Satan: A much different concept; Satan is more inspired by "God's loyal accuser", and they serve to enforce judgement and police the other angels. They are terrifying but benevolent giants, with dual heads and tower above all other angels
  • Hashmallim: The Odd Job Angels, who are living weather/electricity. They are led by Archangel Raphael, and often have the most freedom of any angel
