I think it would make sense for Rex to want to help the police force. Unless they are too stuck up, in which he would continue helping on his own (and with the other characters). I don't know about Ruckus, making pranks would be the kind of thing he would do but I don't think anarchy is a top-priority for him.

Well, got early work tomorrow so I gotta get out of here early. Not gonna be on too much tomorrow, but I should be able to post at some point later in the day.

@Ominae: You know you can have your character arrive at locations yourself right? You don't have to wait for permission unless there's some particular reason for their arrival to be delayed.

Statistics time

Well, it's time to summarize four months of the RP. Note that these data are current as of page 110, post #2750.

LENGTH. All the posts in the RP, in total, number 430,526 words.note  To put that in perspective, this is approximately equivalent to: the length of Cryptonomicon, Gone with the Wind, the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy, or four first Harry Potter books; twice as long as Crime and Punishment or Moby-Dick; three times the length of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea or One Hundred Years of Solitude. There are 2740 posts in the thread (I'm not counting empty posts consisting entirely of "whoops", "wrong thread", etc.), which gives us ~157 words per average post.

Getting through four full in-game days took us 120 real days and 370,267 words, which gives an average of one real month, and 92,567 words (approximately the length of The Hobbit) per in-game day. Assuming that both writing rate and in-game time rate remain constant, all thirty planned in-game days would take ~2.5 years in total, and contain approximately 2.8 million words' worth of posts (over twice the length of the entire The Dark Tower series.)

There have been 43 active players (i.e. those who made at least one post in the main thread) in the RP so far. For the purposes of these stats I'm counting the GM as a player as well.

SHORTEST/LONGEST. The shortest post in the entire RP (by character count, not by wordcount) is Cybersbe's "By marriage."; the second shortest is by Tojin, then come three posts by Ud the Imp.

The longest post is Ashe's introduction post, by ShoutmonZ. Then come, in order: Rick and Morty's intro by Locoman, three posts by the GM, and Kieri's intro. Intros tend to be longer than other posts; the longest post that's neither an intro nor a GM post is this one, by Locoman.

PLAYER OUTPUT. Here's where it gets truly competitive. The five players with the largest number of posts are AllHailThrall (314 posts), DeisTheAlcano (190), FirockFinion (187), FullMoon (176) and Ud the Imp (153).

The five players who wrote the most words are FirockFinion (64,147 words), AllHailThrall (43,186), Locoman (47,928), Ud the Imp (22,235) and DeisTheAlcano (22,094). These five players, in total, contributed nearly half of all text written in the RP. It's also worth noting that the top three player's output technically qualifies as a novel per the definition used by the Hugo and Nebula awards (over 40,000 words long.)

We know who wrote the most, but whose posts are the most verbose on average? Discarding any players with less than 5 posts, the players with the largest average word/post ratio are Locoman (371 words/post), SchoolYardBlues (347.6), FirockFinion (343), ShoutmonZ (286.1) and Yomegami (284.9).

The full player stats would take too much space, so here they are on Pastebin.

Ah yes, "Rick and Morty kill Pinocchio". As I recall, I wrote that one fairly late at night, which might explain... why it's kind of an insane premise. tongue

The fact that I can control two characters simultaneously does mean that I can have them engage in long conversations and such, boosting up the word count.

My goodness, Thrall. [lol]

Thanks for compiling those! It's cool to know all our stats. Now we have evidence for the Door Stopper tropes.

[up] Maybe it's because there are a lot of places in fiction that use giant mechs.

I'm not surprised in the least that Thrall beats everyone cleanly when it comes to post count tongue

I'll take my spot as a top 4 poster and almost top 5 most wordy player.

I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.

I am decidedly amused that I managed to be the fifth most generally wordy player despite not being here that long.

The fact that you haven't been here for long means that the more wordy your posts are at the beginning, the higher your word/post ratio would be so it's not that surprising overall tongue

Also I've been waiting a long time to use that latest pun =V

Well, to balance out the fact that I have twice as many posts as Deis, my posts are way shorter. I'm really bad at post length, I often feel like I'm rambling so I always feel like I have to get to the point.

I don't know how other posters do it.

I often feel like my posts are too short because I'm never what I could add that wouldn't be just padding the post needlessly.

In fact, from the most active players here who have been here since the beginning, I think Deis and I have the worst word/post ratio tongue

So how goes Day 5 The Break Day so far? Other than the Evil Dorito joining and apparently Marcus has caused Xenophobes to appear.

Adding on to the trivia, using the post count in the pastebin and doing some looking around at my posts (prior to the ones in the latest post), Sans has done 7 puns in 35 posts, translating to a ratio of exactly 1 pun for every 5 posts tongue

For what I recall, Ben has went Hero 22 times. He's turned into Heatblast four times; Stinkfly and Diamondhead three times; Four Arms, Wildmutt, Wildvine, XLR8 and Ghostfreak twice; Grey Matter, Upgrade, Cannonbolt, and Spellicorn once, and poor Ripjaws still has yet to be turned into.

You've probably notice I've suggested one on numerous occasions: a beach break day, an underwater day where the characters are turned into water-based forms, a pirate day...

On the topic of what place we land in on the number of posts. I probably land in the last place slot.

[up][up] Firock already said that, that was on his list of days that most likely were going to happen.
