Yeah.
Plus, I made this one before the Go! thread got the boot.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!Pete on Goof Troop is usually a 2, rarely a 1, and sometimes... I'm not sure if it would count as 2 or 3, because while I like the material, I like it for making Pete unlikable.
Hater's definitely a Type 2. He's pretty much a little kid in the body of a Skeletor Expy, but still is extremely fun to watch. Plus he does have his fair share of badass moments(like when he snaps at that old queen lady to give him her power after deciding to screw being a gentleman). Sylvia is a Type 1. She's brash and sarcastic, but not really to the point where you could consider her a jerk. And she's not snarky all the time as she's shown to be caring and nice, esp to Wander.

My Tumblr "If theirs one thing I'm good at, it's blowing" Jesse Cox 2013Some more:
Dan would be a Type 2. He is the protagonist after all.
Scoutmaster Lumpus and Edward are both Type 2. They're really fun to watch and often get their karmic "just desserts".
Lucius Heinous VII is the same as Lumpus and Edward for all the same reasons. Though he became a Type 1 in Season 2 due to some mild Flanderization.
Helga is a 1. She may be violent, rude, and Tsundere-ish, but every scene in her house shows how messed up her life is.

"Detecting trace amounts of mental activity. Possibly a dead weasel or a cartoon viewer"I just wanted to quote this out of context because it is glorious if you have no idea what it's referring to:
Hmm, two pages in and we've had to thump two people for being dicks. Convince me this topic will be worth keeping.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"It's not. It's really not.
Powerpuffbats already said early on that the thread isn't about complaining about jerk characters you don't like. As long as people don't use the thread as that and instead what PPB said in his opening post and people don't use the thread as a complaint thread, I think things will go fine.
My Tumblr "If theirs one thing I'm good at, it's blowing" Jesse Cox 2013I've also repeated myself on that rule.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!Outside of people going out of their way to make baity comments and naysay, no-one had really got into arguments here. Just discussing what type of Jerk Characters exist and whether the work or not.
I'm having to learn to pay the priceProblem is, people tend to get overemotional in discussions on character types like this. It's hard to see it going any other route here.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.Uh guys, let's stay on topic. I already see this topic derailing into a discussion on how downhill the thread is going and how people are complaining.
Anyway, what about the irredeemable jerks like Dick Hardly from The Powerpuff Girls.

He became more of a villain by the end, which don't count really count for this thread.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!Okay, moving on. What about Squidward?
I think Squidward is almost always a 1, while his rival Squilliam is more of a 2.
Roger from American Dad! would be all three I believe. I'm not totally sure.
Does anyone know for Sterling Archer or Bojack Horseman? I haven't seen those shows yet.
"Detecting trace amounts of mental activity. Possibly a dead weasel or a cartoon viewer"In some of the golden age cartoons of Mickey mouse, Pete was always jerk type 3(then again, he was written out as a bad guy) but had some likable features such as being a bit of a ham with his actions. Someone else mentioned how Pete was a jerk in Goof Troop, but I can shortly say that they reworked his character a bit so he wasn't much of a jerk as he was in the original cartoons. But was still a jerk in a degree.
Prohyas from Magic Magiswords seems to be jerk no.2, since he's a little full of himself.
He's 1 and 2 for sure. He's 1, because being nice will literally kill him. He's far and away the show's most beloved character, so he's only a 3 to a tiny minority of people (most of said minority are probably Tropers).
Some people I know off of here only hate Roger because he can't make up his mind about what gender he's into.
Roger's into everything. I've think the show's made that abundantly clear by now.

He flat out called himself a pansexual.
