The page is gone, so let me break this down.
In professional wrestling, competitors can get away with a pair of boots to reduce rolled ankles and some stretchy underwear. Women need a sports bra(or two), some like knee/elbow pads but this is all very minimalistic and boring. Most wrestlers have a gimmick that adds no functionality in the ring but helps them standout from the pack, such as El Santo's mask, Jerry Lawler's single arm singlet, Ron Simmon's arm bands, Jacqueline's extensions, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's watch, Jeff Hardy's body paint or alternatively choose to go without something that could help like The Wild Samoans not wearing shoes.
Amazing Kong's Lady Legionnaire Wear seems like another gimmick, instantly distinguishing her but serving no practical purpose, until she takes on the tag team known as Made In Sin, who wears spikes on their bras with obvious results. Turn's out Kong's gear is robust enough for her to plow into said spikes without injury, so it does have an unforeseen practical purpose. Come to think of it, her gear also tends to be black and red, the colors least likely to stain in the event Kong should bleed. It's great for Garbage Wrestling!
I could type another paragraph about Montel Vontavious Porter's "power ranger" suit. A whole page for those kinds of things gone. Do we have another? Not Completely Useless is a video game trope so can't put them there.
