What kind of stuff should you use to clean the dock's contacts? I could use isopropyl alcohol; it worked when cleaning out my joycon drift, it should work for the other contacts.
BREAKING: Scaramouche Reportedly Caught Doing the FandangoOne problem I do have is the system turning itself off on its own. Not into sleep mode, but flat-out powering off, meaning my game suspended is also shut down.
Oh yeah, I figured that was related to updates or something. I sometimes have that. I usually turn my Switch on with my controller (hold home button for a second), but that doesn't work when it's fully powered off.
But since I don't keep games on sleep for a long time (I used to when the Switch was new and I played Breath of the Wild all the time), that doesn't affect me. And it wasn't a problem back in the years when it would have affected me, so I got lucky.
I randomly got some Platinum Points. I can use those to pay for eshop titles right? But I've only seen it accept Gold Points.
Platinum points are for buying elements for NSO icons IIRC.
Help me. I can't get it out of my head. No, platinum points cannot be used toward games. They can be redeemed for the occasional exclusive physical merchandise item.

A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they will never sit in.Following up on my drift repair saga.
I got it back today; two weeks is pretty consistent. Once again the paperwork says they couldn’t replicate the problem, which is patently ridiculous since simply attempting to click the thumbstick button would confirm that it’s broken. But this time it looks like they just sent a whole new Joycon back to me. There’s no wear on it at all.
I guess the problem was technically solved...?
"That we continue to persist at all is a testament to our faith in one another."Yeah, I’m not complaining. It’s just interesting that for the my first (gray) one sent in, I got a repair, and for this red one, a replacement. Maybe the button problem wasn’t easily fixable.
Switch OS 18.0 is out. Alongside it being more stable, it also includes 15 minute auto-sleep timer and Korean language support for the Parental Controls tutorial.
F-Zero: Maximum Velocity will be out on Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pass on March 28th. Slight

"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Are we just now getting an auto sleep function?
Help me. I can't get it out of my head.I think autosleep's always been there, it's just setting it for 15 minutes of inactivity wasn't an option. (edit: Just checked and the intervals before were 1, 3, 5, 10, or 15 minutes for handheld; and 1, 2, 3, 6, or 12 hours for TV. The update adds a 15 minute option for TV specifically.)
I've had my screen dim on me many times during long cutscenes or credits, so a slightly longer but not too long setting is nice.

🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaAuto-sleep has been a function on the Switch since launch, with different auto-sleep settings for while docked and not.

"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."
Occasionally, but its never been a consistent issue.
