As mentioned in Ask The Tropers, fandom reactions do not belong on the main pages. Shimaspawn noted that " sounds like Pokemon has a lot of misuse and the pages need to be cleaned up."

Japanese Teeth suggested "Rather than deleting the examples outright, move them to the Smogon page, where they'd actually be relevant."

And Fighteer answered: "That's a good idea. Stuff related to a particular fandom "interpretation" — ruleset, whatever — should go on that fandom's article rather than the main work's article."

Well, i created this thread to organize this clean-up.

Whenever you talk about a specific page having issues, you should always include a link to the page in question. I don't see any, so here you go: Pokémon

Well, i am waiting the apparition of another person, but i remembered that during the discussion in Ask The Tropers, five tropers, including three mods, concurred with the clean-up. I guess that this is sufficient consensus, but, to be 100% sure, i am waiting another week to start the clean-up.

Are you sure you've gotten everything?

Because I can still see problems on Characters.Pokemon Generation I Bulbasaur To Tentacruel, like in Pidgey/Pidgeotto/Pidgeot:

A brown bird with a cream-colored belly and elements of both pigeons and birds of prey, still in the chick stage, that evolves into a quite large, more mature version of itself with a small red crest of feathers, and then into a human-sized version of itself with the crest now going all the way down its back. The first Normal-types in the Dex, and also often one of the first Pokémon caught by anybody in the Kanto and Johto games. Their stats are fairly balanced and not weak in any particular regard, but, sadly, they are not very strong in any particular regard either (except, perhaps, speed as of Generation VI); as a result, they tend to be overshadowed by more specialized Pokémon of the same typing. Still, it tends to be a staple of in-game teams, since somebody has to be on Fly detail.

Master of None: Its typing is not good for defense, and it's overshadowed in the offensive department by other Com Mons of its ilk.

I think more than one person needs to look at the threads properly to see what needs to be removed and what's not.

"Overshadowed by Awesome" trope listings aren't the only offenders here, as I've pointed out.

I stumbled upon Characters.Pokemon XY and cleaned it. MAJOR overuse of spoiler tags. Half the page was completely whited out. Please tell me the rest aren't that bad.

Why was so much stuff, e.g. Handicapped Badass, commented out on Characters.Pokemon Generation II Families? The items are not ZCE's or fandom reactions, to be best of my knowledge.

That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.

They are not terribly informative about why they apply, I think. And some of them sound like audience stuff, actually.

Well, the Handicapped Badass thing, at least, mentions( and is dependent of) Stealth Rock, an attack common in the metagame, but rare in-game, and it is not more handicapped than any other pokemon with 4x weakness. Beyond this, this mentions the Uber tier of Smogon.
