I say pull. On top of what you said, those clothes don't look toga-like. Something from the Superman universe would probably be good, but I'm not getting anything useful from Google.
They don't need to be togas. Robes are acceptable. It's kind of weak, but the fashion does lean towards the trope.

People with old looking clothes with futuristic design around them and a spaceship behind them. The image work.
It's just my option that it's a bad image, but I did read the page. "This world of tomorrow may end up looking much like Ancient Greece while still enjoying ultratech comforts." The quote and caption mention Ancient Rome. Those costumes look far from what would be worn in Ancient Greece or Rome and I think they're too elaborate to be called elegant. The Jedi◊ work better for Star Wars.
I was thinking of something either with Gallifrey or Vulcan, but I can't find any image that I really like.

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanDoes it apply for what looks like Space Elves?
Check out my fanfiction!Mimbar from Babylon5 is a good example as well.
I don't see why not.
Willbyr, I like the architecture in your suggestions, but I don't like that here are no people showing the type of clothing that generally goes along with the trope.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.There's the Minbari in Babylon Five.
I like the last panel of this comic.
If you watch the trailer for Idiocracy on Youtube, there's a part near the beginning where it pans across a piece of artwork of sleek shiny futuristic technology and a vaguely Zeus looking man in a toga. If anyone could get a decent frame of that, or knows the original picture, I think that would be perfect. The Eldar aren't too bad, but at the same time, they're grimdark (it's 40K) and crystal spires and togas is usually at least pretty on the outside.
Russell... likes to hurt people... for PEACE.Logan's Run (the 70's movie) would be an excellent source, but I'm having trouble finding an image that has both the togas and the architecture; there are lots of good ones of one or the other, but not many with both.. This is the best I've found so far and it;s a confusing composite of at least four and maybe more photos stitched together:

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.It's rather busy, but it's a bit of an improvement over the current.
Check out my fanfiction!I can't tell what all is supposed to be going on in the left side of the pic.
I have no idea what's happening in @17.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.I understand what you're trying to say. It's a good idea.
Could we do something with this◊?
How's this?

The problem with this image is that it just shows a bunch of people in robes. No crystal spires. There's something vaguely futurey-looking in the background.
It's not the worst image ever or anything, but I'm sure someone can find a much better one.
