That's actually pretty similar to how I met my ex...we met while playing Rift, and then decided to meet up in Real Life.
She fell for me pretty much immediately; I took some warming up. We got together a little while later and were together for a year before she broke up with me...10 days after I lost my job.
....And here I am two years later, unemployed and single.

Well, it's a tad more complicated than that. We met through World of Warcraft and we were in the same guild (Arcane Destiny), and we were good friends even after the guild ended. Then we got more romantic towards each other until we fell in love. :) Then just recently "she" revealed that he's actually a man, and that he just got that caught up in the role-playing.
And that is one weird page-topper.
