"Either you kill them or I kill you."
I like it. Otherwise, there's also Brian and Stewie who literally substitute for Santa, only to completely bungle up the first house they go to. —>Stewie: First off, we're not even Santa anymore. This is a home invasion!
I think a pic of them would work too.
Looks good to me. I especially like that it isn't about Santa.
It works.
Check out my fanfiction!I like it:
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman
That, with the quote, works fine for me.
Oh wait, a little bit of context for the quote.
"Either you kill them or I kill you."
I also like that it's not of Santa.

Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.I'm actually of the opposite. I dislike the suggestion specifically because it doesn't have Santa. Yes, I know Tropes Are Flexible. However, the title specifically mentions Santa. Therefore, the image should be of Santa in order to appear cohesive. Otherwise, the image and title choices would just look random and mismatched.
for the suggestion.

I disagree, the image communicates that the trope is not just about Santa, which might be implied by the name and reinforced by such an image.
I like it also.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.I am not clear on why we need to parrot the trope title.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThat would be like using the image of a Mercedes-Benz exploding for Every Car Is a Pinto. Or having the images for The Kirk, The Spock and The McCoy not be Kirk, Spock and McCoy. While the image would be in line with the meaning of the article and highlight that the trope isn't specific about the individual/object named in the title, it just looks weird and confusing. When a specific individual/object is named in a trope title, I feel that the trope image should ideally feature said individual/object in order to feature a cohesive presentation (i.e. having the individual/object that is named in the title in the pic would be a plus in favour of said pic).
Incidentally, this is my suggestion: [1]◊
I say this is an improvement over the Family Guy suggestion not only because it features Santa but because it shows the sub actually doing the job of the guy he is substituting for.

No, it is like having a picture of a cat on Pet the Dog, or a picture of Wheel of Fortune on the article Whammy.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Waay too busy.
Also, "cohesiveness" is not enough of an argument to override the "overly literal and thus misleading" problem. Tropes are things; their names are just attributes.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanSo, does that mean The Kirk, The Spock and The McCoy shouldn't feature the characters in question? Because that could be taken as overly literal and misleading as well.
I'm just pointing out that I feel that having Santa in the pic would be a plus and more importantly, should not be seen as a negative. Likewise, an exactly identical pic as the current on Pet the Dog that features a tiny, helpless puppy in place of the kitten would probably rank higher in my opinion as a suitable image for that trope page.

A name can always be changed, especially one with only 40 links. I like seeing the substitute and who is being subed for.
"I like seeing the substitute and who is being subed for."
Which would thus count as a reason in Family Guy's favour. See where I'm going with this?
"A name can always be changed"
True. Likewise, trope definitions can be changed and images can then be changed to suit accordingly. Both these things happen all the time.
Well, as of my last count at least 8 people agreed with the image, so it's up, potholed and tagged. Someone will have to right-shift it; I can't do that on the phone.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanDone, and added the suggested caption. Seemed to be the favoured one.
Also, I prefer images that show off different aspects of the trope than the trope name.

Check out my fanfiction!Well, seems we are done then.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanLooks good; locking up.
I mentioned this on Death Takes a Holiday, but it would be good for this trope. [1]◊
