Some movies go that extra mile with a Design Student's Orgasm-inducing intros. Some hype you up for what's to come.

Post them here.

And lots more, but those are the "immediately spring to mind" ones.

The Toy Story 2 intro is an awesome homage to science fiction. And Toy Story 3's intro is even better!

The intro sequence from Casino Royale is probably the best intro of any Bond film.

Tim Burton's Charlie And The Chocolate Factory. The moment the camera zooms inside that thing you're like "whoa" and then holy shit does it look beautiful. It's dark and sweet like the best kinds of chocolate. And Elfman's music is just incredible.

Most of the movie was varying degrees of "meh", but even if I wasn't a fan of the franchise I'd still think the Wing Commander intro was pretty cool, giving a brief summary of space history from the 20th century to the current WCU setting.

(Can't find a copy of it on youtube, unfortunately.)

The intro to Nine Deaths of the Ninja is so cheesy it's awesome. It's low-budget eighties cheese in the best way imaginable. The movie itself is a decent So Bad, It's Good film, but it doesn't quite live up to the opening.

Bigotry will NEVER be welcome on TV Tropes.

Not so much a movie intro than it is a Vanity Plate, but I love the 20th Century Fox intro. I even like to consider it a part of the Star Wars intro, since the theme segues very well into the Star Wars theme.

The opening sequence of the Battle of Britain is easily one of my favourite film openings ever. Probably because Everything Sounds Hammier In German.

With cannon shot and gun blast smash the alien. With laser beam and searing plasma scatter the alien to the stars.
