Hi.

Namespacers/TRSers like nombetomado, Oreochan, Fire Walk, Vir, Mark Lungo, St Fan, Antwan, FELH2, eforce, Prnoff, etc. keep making markup errors and redlinks without reasons, and so I have to navigate trope/work pages to look for errors. For example, they:

Now, I need you to either start an Ask The Tropers query concerning all these errors, or navigate any pages. Please?

I don't understand what your actual request is, but generally if you see mistakes like that, the best thing to do is to correct it. If it happens more than once by the same person, you can send a polite PM about how you've noticed that they've made the same error more than once (tell them what the error is), and could they be a little more careful about checking for it in future?

Do keep in mind that these are actual people (with the possible exception of FELH 2) who are often working through hundreds of wicks in a sitting. Mistakes and typos happen.

[up] I was already correcting them, but I'm growing tired of seeing them.

For at least one of those cases (adding a namespace to a work that hasn't been moved yet), the appropriate response is to move the page. Unfixing the wick simply means more work that has to be done later.

Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.

How 'bout messaging the tropers via PM?

I don't see any of these mistakes anywhere. Can you give examples?

Everyone makes mistakes. No need to blame people for making a mistake. Jeez.

Also, I've only seen, like, one namespace typo so far.

Where are they doing this? Hard to fix a problem we can't find.

I do not see any way to fix this other than a case-by-case basis, where you simply fix it if you see it on a page whilst browsing, and send someone a PM if they're doing it lots, which to my knowledge none of the people named in your OP are (especially FELH 2, since he runs a bot). At any rate, this is not a problem I have seen massively — indeed, I've only done and then fixed such errors a few times in my own edits and come across it maybe half a dozen times otherwise. There is also the issue that finding this issue where it does exist is very hard, with no nifty tools to check everywhere for it.

If there is no large-scale solution and no way to co-ordinate an effort to fix these mistakes, which I do not think there is (just like we can't do an effort to correct typos beyond fix-it-when-you-see-it) then I don't see a use to a Projects thread about it.

I am also unsure of why an ATT query is proposed in the OP.

@Septimus Heap They're doing it everywhere. On every single article.

OK, now I have to doubt the veracity of your complaints. I most certainly have never seen an error rate that large.

That's not happening. Any article, maybe, but every article, no.

I pressed the Random button and Beneath Notice came up. Checking history... yup, it's had namespacing edits. Total number of broken links on the page: 0. Ditto Paintball Episode, the next page that came up, which has redlinks that are not broken. And Flunky Boss. I also do not see recent fixes of the problems in the history.

They're doing it everywhere. On every single article.

And with this, I am putting my Mod Hat on to say you have lost all credibility and this thread is pointless and is being locked.
