It looks good, and the story seems interesting. I just hope they learn from past mistakes and don't release what amounts to a half-finished game, what with all the patches and updates they apparently had to do for the first one.

I want to make a page for it with this image, but I have no idea how to code it in editing.

Yeah, Bethesda really needs to make sure that this isn't a repeat of 2014 and actually make sure the game works properly before it releases. No letterboxing you can't turn off, no game-breaking glitches, no insta-kill boss moves...

So, in this trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qHmfHFSCqWI there's a shot of Sebastian from behind that looks like they either brought back the Agony crossbow, or put in something like it. It makes me wonder if there's still an upgrade system, and if the crossbow is still a game breaker when it's fully upgraded.

There are gameplay videos out now; what do you all think?

They changed Seb and Kidman's voices and that... jars me a little.

I've only seen the opening cutscene and a little bit of gameplay. Kind of don't want to spoil too much. The change in voice actors is gnawing at me though - could be plenty of reasons for it, but it's way too jarring. I sat down for 5-8 hours getting used to those cheesy voices and dialogue.

From my understanding, there's a voice actors strike going on (I think) so that might be why.

The VA strike ended last month.

No idea what Jennifer Carpenter's been up to but Seb's voice actor has been tied up with that Marvel's Inhumans car crash for a while now, he's Black Bolt.

So, I had see the Let's Play of the games and- OH HELL NAW!

Seriously though, the jumpscares are pretty scary. tongue

So, on Fridge Brilliance:

    lots of spoilers
  • The game promo materials used lots of melting wax and spilling white paint imagery, while the billed Big Bad Ensemble has very little connection with these imagery (Photography, light, and blood for Stephano, Fire and Brimstone Hell for Father Theodore. The imagery implied, and in game, belongs to another big player in the game, the one with strongest connection to the plot.
  • In the other hand, the promo materials also shows Sebastian to be in same material and color with the alleged melting wax materials. This foreshadows that said Big Player, Myra and Sebastian, had the same goal and wishes; the safety of Lily, although not necessarily in same direction.
  • Myra getting heavily involved with Moebius and STEM handily explains why Kidman, despite being Double Reverse Quadruple Agent, being tolerated by Moebius at all, and explain why she could keep her sense of morals and individuality, while most Moebius personnels was borderline I Am Legion. Also kinda explains why she didn't get Psychic Nosebleed at the end, despite her statements that every Moebius agent got chipped in head and linked with STEM. Myra most likely taken care of that.
  • Allegedly, this also explain some inconsistensies in The Evil Within regarding why the detectives was in the tubes; Mobius operatives, thanks to chip in their head, can allegedly entering and quitting STEM at much ease, while the non-chipped guys had to be tubed to keep them in STEM much longer.
  • One of the more unnerving scenes in the game is where Sebastian shot his younger self, helpless on stretcher. While it is unnerving, some scene in the games implies this is necessary for him to be able to keep his head clear, and drawing more power without bogged down by STEM side effect. Myra never done such a thing, and arguably this is what caused Final Boss battle to occured; she cannot control her Mama Bear tendencies, and ready to discard everything, including Lily's future, just to sure her safety, whether Lily (and Sebastian) like it or not.

[up][up] Could you explain why there's a voice actor for a character who doesn't talk? 'Cause I'm drawing a big blank.

[up]He's the actor, not voice actor, you dummy. Anson Mount.

We were talking about voice acting, and then how that voice actor was doing something else. God forgive me for getting confused.

So, is this game just as busted as the first one? Or is it better?

[up] Most review said it is better. If you like RE 4 at some point in your life, my opinion said you gonna like it.

Did Bethesda learn their lesson about releasing half-finished games? Or is it another case of "we'll just release two dozen patches a day until all the bugs are fixed; also, if you want to understand anything about why anything is happening, buy the DLC."?

You're wording that like Bethesda's the one developing tongue, and yes it's pretty much complete unless you hate Sequel Hooks. General conseus is that the game took the pros of the last game and fixed the issues.

I was watching TV a few days ago when a commercial for Evil Within 2 came on. I recognized the song but it took a few seconds to actually what realize what song it was. Red? Seriously? I've never heard a Red song used commercially, and I've been a fan of that band since the first album.

Edit: I forgot the song was a cover. Dang. Oh well, it's still a good song.

So, can this game work well on the Playstation 4? Will it damage the Playstation?

O.K, I actually got this game on GOG.

The problem is, I just discovered that it's a very flawed PC port.

Does anybody have any suggestions for how to fix the stuttering and texture load-ins?
