[up][up]And Geedub did a fairly smart thing to reconcile all that by saying all of the material is canon, but not necessarily true.

[up][up]More likely it'll be Metal Gear Rising Revengeance style glowing orange cuts where she's been dismembered.

Enjoyed the episode.

On Grimm: It's largely a numbers thing. They probably outnumber humans by about a thousand to one. And that includes human babies.

On Coco: Different characters have different strengths. She is good at killing big monsters, but less mobile, which gives her a disadvantage against humans (which yes, means that Coco's desire to be in the spotlight caused her to make a stupid tactical decision for her team's chances). Just like Pyrrha is the opposite. Her semblence give her an advantage against human opponents.

On damn: It's used very frequently, but yes, it's a swear. Specifically, it's telling something/someone to burn in Hell.

[up][up]Or Dr. Soong levels of cybernetic detail by creating a robot with crafted capillaries underneath the surface layer to give the skin a human-like flush. In other words, she would appear to bleed human blood.

Or maybe it would be like Samurai Jack style robot carnage!

We probably don't want Penny to end up like a Samurai Jack mook...there'll be a lot of oil.

[up][up][up][up][up]What I would like Grimm to turn out to be would be some kind of manifestation of human imagination thanks to a Dust-rich world. In Christopher Stasheff's Warlock series, one world had native "fairies". There was a native moss that was telepathically charged and which tended to shape itself into life forms whenever a nearby telepath was using their imagination... it was an accidental side-effect, not a deliberate outcome.

If Dust and Aura have the side-effect of creating Grimm, that means every nightmare, every scary or negative thought gives birth to new Grimm, which would be attracted to said negativity, which would breed new nightmares and therefore create more Grimm... cue vicious circle and a world overrun by Grimm. That would make the most prolific creators of Grimm.... pre-school children and toddlers.

As a result, humans are stuck between a rock and a hard-place - they need Aura-using warriors to fight the Grimm, but they need a large portion of humanity to be Aura-locked to minimise the creation of new Grimm... and being a hunter is a good way to be haunted by nightmares.

That would amuse me... and maybe then we'd have a decent Nightmare Fuel page.

I wonder if Cinder is a Humanoid Abomination.

Not human, not Grimm, not Faunus, not machine...

...what if...she's a lawyer?

It kind of sounds like Bloodborne the more I think about it.

But regarding this, I fear that at some point there will be this noticeable shift in the general mood and people will bitch how everything went to shit in a span of few episodes/a single volume.

[up][up]Does that mean she's keeping bunny ears stashed away inside her girl-pockets?

[up]Well, it's got to go to s**t at some point because, when Afterbuzz asked Monty if Ozpin was the kind of character who'll only fight when all hell has broken loose, Monty thought for a moment and said that it's sort of like Ozpin being so old that it's hard to get him out of bed in the morning, so it has to be worth it - but that he had a very clear vision of what Ozpin's fight was going to be like... so it's got to get bad enough for Ozpin to fight, basically.

What'll probably happen is that Oobleck will steal his secret coffee stash and Ozpin will go on an murderous rampage, levelling Vale and Ironwood's entire army in the process (but he'll only succeed in knocking Oobleck's adventuring hat jauntily askew).

I now have visions of a live-action version of RWBY where Cinder is played by Ben Affleck.

I need some bleach, please.

She also played the Queen in Snow White and the Huntsman.

She would be pretty good.

I find it hilarious that Mercury is now voiced by Yuri Lowenthal. And in this episode, it's Spinzaku all over again.

By the way, nobody answered my earlier question. What academy are Emerald and Mercury officially registered in according to professor Port's matchup announcement at the episode's beginning?

Honestly, I think Jessica Nigri would do an excellent job. Her chest is too big, but that's hardly an impossible obstacle.

I know you're joking, but I worded that poorly, so to be clear: Her chest is bigger than Cinder's. But it's easily solved by some binding.
