Prematurely launched pages and pages that weren't fully fleshed out at the point of launching, are a big problem. Since these usually share several problems at once, this thread is aimed at re-running them through the TLP for fixing - the usual fix - or cutting them if they are too bad.
Problems this thread deals with include bad names, not enough/bad examples, unclear description, etc.
For the interested, here's a list of recently created pages. Launches
Note: Please do not request a mod to unlaunch drafts that don't have any issues besides lacking a launch notice/24hr launch notice. While 24hr launch notices are mandatory, there are a few exceptions to the rule. If you see a draft's sponsor launch a TLP without an announcement, it's best to remind them of our TLP Guidelines first. If they continue to repeatedly launch drafts without a launch notice, you can report them on Ask The Tropers or the TLP Community Issues thread.

Not here. Dig the scissors out.
All your safe space are belong to TrumpGirly Name. Created just a few days ago, seems redundant to Gender-Blender Name.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWell, we have Tomboyish Name, but no Spear Counterpart. Send back to YKTTW?
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.^Maybe.
Also, Girls Love Perfume.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanSend that back to YKTTW, too.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Girly Name doesn't seem to have any archived ykttw discussion.
Neither does Girls Love Perfume.
I'll PM the tropers who launched those pages. Everybody was a newbie once, but don't people read administrivia before they start editing?
I'd even argue for a cut with the perfume page. There are no examples and I don't think majority of movies and other fiction happen to mention perfumes. Only some. And the thing that there are people allergic to perfumes seems chairsy to me. There are people allergic to lots of things, but unless there is a pattern in stories and meaning behind it, it's not a trope.

People don't read policy pages very often before they start contributing.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWhich is why I advocate for an introductory message upon registering a new account, that highly recommends looking over the rules and guidelines (with or without links to the administrivia page), as a sort of disclaimer message.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.I am sure we already have that.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanFor Girly Name: I think just Gender-Blender Name covers it just fine. If we move the guys with feminine names from it, then GBN isn't going to have much left on it. Well, it'll have purely ambiguous names on it, which is something, I suppose. Just my two cents.
Cut Girls Love Perfume, though. For sure. That said, Men Hate Perfume might be a legitimate trope, based on how men (usually blue-collar or manly men) react poorly to the smell of perfume.

Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Froshmore Year just launched with one hat... it's just Second Year Protagonist with a more obtuse name.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Yep, that is 100% duplicate. Toss it onto the cutlist and message the troper.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWill do.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.CB Cook 55 restored the once-cut Perhaps You Were Expecting A Trope page as a stub.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanRe-cutlisted it.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.While cleaning up Bad Writing wicks, I came across the tropeless stub Fleet And Federation.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWe've got an IP thread tied to Girly Name; is that one going to be cut?
I think that would qualify as "cutlist and message the creating troper". Someone will have to take the latter step as I do not currently have an idea how to write it.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanAnd in other news, Talent Bomb. An exampleless stub. Also, the troper in question seems to have an history of creating pages without YKTTW.
Same for There Are No Toddlers.

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI'm not even sure what the former is. The best guess I can give is a movie with an All-Star Cast that sucked, which would just make it complaining.
I'm not really sure what to do with the latter. On one hand, it seems like it's trivia, but on the other, it has no examples, and I have no idea how we would even collect any.
That seems to be a good argument for cutting both.

Done.

Anyone in disagreement with that?
