On topic...

'Fosters Goes To Europe' really doesn't sit well with me, what with the excrutiatingly irritating Eurotrish and Madame Foster's horrendous Character Derailment at the end.

Daria- Peggy Nicholson-written episodes like "Faire Enough", "Lab Brat", and "The Daria Hunter". The only one of her's I really liked was "Gifted", but her usual style I didn't quite get into, but most of the fandom didn't seem to like it either.

TheSimpsons- I'll limit this to pre-Season 10 cause my opinions on episodes beyond that would probably not be of a civil nature :P. Anywho, I understand more now what they were going for but "Homer's Enemy" traumatized the hell out of me as a kid and I can't really bring myself to watch it, but at the same time I am curious about the DVD commentary. "My Sister, My Sitter" also left an icky taste in my mouth and I couldn't quite enjoy it.

Futurama - Maybe not so much "hate", but "Jurassic Bark" scarred my dog-loving psyche. The later movies and episodes have softened the blow, but not enough for me to ever sit through it all the way through again. (Though I'm still fond of Bender being part Dolemite). I thought the "Bender's Game" movie was the worst of them, and as far as actual episodes I out and out hate I'd have to go with "Neutopia". Lord that was hacky! "Bend Her" at least felt like it was mocking how shows do gender cliches, but "Neutopia" was just wallowing in them without irony.

King Of The Hill- a lot of the later season ones are hard to stomach, in particular the diversity training one (it was the one I actually turned off halfway through cause I just knew it would be awful), the one where Luann is a horrible person for doing her Manger Babies show after having a kid, and the one where Bobby has that pretentious clowning instructor.

Atl A- I didn't haaaaate "The Great Divide" but I probably wouldn't go out of my way to watch it again. I'll never be able to watch "Appa's Lost Days" though, I knew I had to skip it :( I thought "The Painted Lady" was kinda boring though, too much of a throwback to season 1 style episodes.

I also hated the Simpsons episode, the one where Bart falls in love with a Chirstan and dosen't care about Milhouse. If it wasn't for poor fucking Milhouse, Bart would have been married in the future. He probaly will never get married by the end of the season's run, anyway. Plus, I half-hated the episode Million Dollar Maybe, not because the main plot was fucking awesome, but the sub-plot's ending was fucking terrible. Karma Houdini workers destroying fun out of Lisa's elderly friends? Check. Moral about elders being fucked around and cannot have fun? Check. No resolution? Check. In other words, Lisa buys Wii-like product for elders to have fun. Workers at the retirement home fuck it up. Lisa is fucked. The end. God, that is one of the worst sub-plots in Simpsons history!! >:(

I hated the episode of The Cleveland Show that was part of the three-way flood crossover. Junior reveals he doesn't believe in God, and his family treats him like he's evil. When stuff happens to them during the storm, they blame Junior for visiting God's wrath on the house. The rest of family was being so hyper-religious, which they hadn't done before or since. Then at the end, there's "hope" that he believes in God after all.

[up] Speaking of which, I hated the episode in Family Guy, and just like the Hurricane episode in The Cleveland Show, it sucked fucking hard. You think the main plot is a cool drug trip? No. But that was the best part. The main plot? Meg hating Lois. FUCKING CRAP. I NEVER EVER FINISHED WATCHING IT, AND I NEVER WILL.

While I liked Lois being called out on her crap for once, I wished they'd done it some way other than another long winded Lampshading speech. The show seems to get the idea if they just drone on about how much they suck in the exact same way their critics do, it will make it all better, you know, rather than actually fixing any of it for real.

The American Dad Hurricane was hit and miss too. Basically a huge Lampshade on what an imbecilic Straw Loser Stan has devolved into, and then even subverting the Aesop just to point out, no, he really is that hopeless. Basically just a long confirmation Stan, who originally had redeeming aspects and unique motivations, is now just Peter in a suit. The execution was at least very funny in places though so it may not count ( Stan electrocuting Roger had me in stitches).

Out of all the other episodes of Ren And Stimpy I saw so far, my least favorite would be Travelouge 1. It seemed rather boring tbh.

Okay, I know that a lot of Bronies aren't that fond of the part 1 of the "Canterlot Wedding," finale episode because of the ending, but I do have some sympathy for the episode.

I'm thankful that Twilight was shown to be right about her suspicions of the "bride to be" being evil. I mean, it can be worse. What if Twilight was wrong. I think it's stupid for bronies to hold a grudge against the others Mane 5, Princess Celestia, and Shining Armor for this incident.

[up]There's one thing that makes bronies angrier than anything else, and that's seeing their favorite pony being anything other than happy and content. They are quick to anger, and they will brand that person a demon void of any redemption.

[up]I couldn't agree with you any more. I mean, there are worse episodes. They need to stop acting like babies and get over it. I think the episode is unfairly hated in my opinion.

That problem with the hurricane issue of the Cleveland Show also applies to "Not All Dogs Go To Heaven". True, Brian's speech was not cool, but if he hadn't been made the town pariah and deprived of his liquor because of his personal atheism, we wouldn't even be having this discussion in the first place.

azul 120: Seth's shows have a problem of making both sides of argument act horrible in how they set out, but afterwards still making clear one is completely and utterly in the right. This is why the political episodes leave a sour note with so many (eg. Brian episodes, Stan vs Hayley episodes). No matter how negatively they portray a left wing, they'll never imply anything remotely positive about right wing at the end of it all so their superficial attempts to look "grey" about it only make things worse.

It's not just politics, his shows tend to use every Designated Hero trope in the book. Half of The Unfair Sex page consists of Seth examples and you'll likely find thousands of listed examples of hypocrisy which aren't deliberate Hypocritical Humor. Only very recent episodes of any have tried subversions, which is likely more another very forced nod at the endless criticisms they receive from fans.

As said this wouldn't be so bad if they kept things tongue and cheek like most of the shows' tone, but the Aesops tend to be the one thing they handle earnestly with little irony at all.

I hated the Simpsons episode Missonary Impossible, due to the fact that we are about to see a Downer Ending, until it turns into a cop-out No Ending-

I loved Missionary Impossible. "Oh save me Jebus!", and the toad-licking, classic.

The episode where Aang learns how to Firebend initially (forget the name) in ATLA. Not because of the episode itself, but how he insanely overreacted from what were ultimately just simple burns on Katara. His whole "i'll never firebend again" thing stuck out like a negative sore thumb, far moreso than the ending that many feel was a cop-out.

Betty White was merely exposing the dirty common thieves who don't contribute to the network. You know who you are, thieves.

While the ending was so so, it fit in okay with the message they were making earlier, and I thought it was actually one of the better episodes from when the show was blatantly starting to get too over the top and pop culture heavy.

"The Mysterious Mare Do Well" and "Dragon Quest" from My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic.

The former, was a huge derail to all the Mane Cast except Dashie who herself was horrifically exaggerated. I know that they didn't like how she was such a braggart, but they literally went out of their way to pretty much humiliate her and then they went and did the exact stuff they were complaining about

And the latter set up a big quest,a good character episode, only to drop it at the end,it ended with Spike becoming a Boomerang Bigot against his own kind on the actions of a few teenagers.

And from ATLA there are "Avatar Day" and "The Painted Lady" which I always skip when Archive Binging, both of them are needless filler which do nothing to the plot. The former actually disrupts a plot point for cheap laughs, the latter derails Katara and paints Sokka as in the wrong over merely trying to look at the big picture.

Hawk and Dove from Justice League. I liked Jason Hervey and Fred Savage reuniting for this episode, too bad it was so pathetic with that robot powered by hate. I half expected Captain Planet to show up. Patriot Act wasnt all that great either. It was trying to show that lower-level heroes were important, but it had a rather unsatisfying ending IMO.
