Per word of mod, we need to go through the renamed/tropes with okay names on the Rape Tropes index and excise any perversity/creepiness.

The sandbox page is at Sandbox.Rape Tropes. I suggest writing next to each cleaned trope "cleaned" and then marking each page at the top with "cleaned per Special Efforts thread due to No Lewdness rules" or something like that.

What do people think of Double Standard: Rape—Male on Male? The examples should be cleaned, but I'm not sure about the description.

It doesn't need the "subtrope" of Rape as Comedy anymore really. It's opened itself up to being the whole double standard.

Personally I think the explanation is pretty good except in the last paragraph.

It's not like the description just listed examples where it was played for drama and it can still be played for comedy. And the "because its just so funny" is pointless and is poorly written. What does the Dom/sub bit have to do with rape anyway?!

Finished Bastard Girlfriend and Double Standard: Rape—Male on Male. About to finish up Black Comedy Rape. Gods, that was terrible. I'm done for the night guys.

Good cleanup on the second. Lots of those weren't examples anyway. I only put up one you removed but I rewrote it so it explained the trope better.

I'm sorry if I'm over reacting but Chaotic Dreams has created, launched and contributed to some rape and fetish related pages that are questionable and dubiously valid in YKTTW like this one and Symbolic Rape (which seems to be just a form of Freud Was Right). Can a mod warn him/her about this issue? Their YKTTWs looked okay at first, but more and more are starting to revolve around rape causing a noticeable pattern.

Anyway, Black Comedy Rape needs a trip to the TRS and it's picture is a duplicate or used to be of Double Standard: Rape—Male on Male.

Gave two sweeps on Rape Stockholm Syndrome but the page is huge so I might've missed some.

I got Sex Slave and Sexual Extortion wicks. It's Not Rape If You Enjoyed It is also mine. But I'm logging out now for at least a few hours or days. Homework, family issues and this hit me at the worst possible moment.

I will also discard most or all of CD's YKTT Ws and take few of the valid ones under my wing and sanitize them since they are definitely not solely about rape.

The Double Standard Rape rename sounds like a big Viewers Are Morons practice to me, but sadly, the advertisers proved it to be true.

^I was never a fan of the "Rape is Okay" family, but that's because they were horribly uncreative names*

too commonly, the best title for a trope is a statement of the position it expounds or represents but that we don't agree with, which came up again and again in the rename thread

, especially the original one which no one liked even at the time (let me tell you about the guy who came up with it sometime). "Double Standard Rape", though, is just Artistic License 2: Electric Boogaloo. If they went properly through TRS instead of being rush-renamed as a result of the current situation, their titles, I have to believe, would be much better.

Also, he has been on this site for at least three or four years judging by YKTTW history. He may need the bounce treatment...
