So... how to handle my Secret Keeper?

Okay, I need to fill you in first.

Essentially it's Everything Is Better With Dinosaurs meets Humongous Mecha meets Alien Invasion.

Earth suddenly has three meteorites smashing to its surface... at least, until the people realize that they're actually large ships lumped together with heads of specific dinosaurs (a Tyrannosaurus Rex, Triceratops and a Pteradactyl). Another object crashes, this time actually looking like a black meteor. However, the thing releases black tentacle-like tendrils, turning it into a huge, metallic, rocky monster. The ships then reactivate, unfolding into large, robotic dinosaurs. They fight. The dinosaurs win.

The pilots are revealed to be... dinosaur men. It is then told that they came from Kreide, a planet where dinosaurs and other ancient animals similar to Earth evolved. They progressed much faster too, that they have space exploration ready. An old space exploration in a far asteroid belt awakened a sentient black-hole-like Planet Eater named Boydo. Promising a denizen of Kreidens a "second level of evolution" as a way to work for it, Boydo managed to start a war against other Kreidens by harnessing technology and utilizing its dark matter to create creatures out of them.

In order to counter the invasion, the Kreide Defense Force harnessed "Jurassic Energy" that is pulsated from the planet (the very thing that attracted Boydo) to create machines powered by the energy named Machinasaurs. It is however unstable, so they requested three pilots to be exposed by Jurassic Energy. The Machinasaurs, capable of collapsing into small space jets and unfolding into large dinosaurs (with the pilots coincidentally matching the Machinasaurs they pilot). They managed to fight Boydo and its creatures enough to send it away from Kreide space, but then it managed to find another planet...

Earth apparently radiates Jurassic Energy too, and with its technology being severely inferior, Boydo switched its target as Earth lacks the way to defend from any form of invasion. Feeling responsible for Boydo's change of course, Rex the Hot-Blooded T-rex, Trey the calm, collected Triceratops, and Doc the sarcastic visually-impared Pteradactyl, follows Boydo to Earth.

So here's my problem - where do I fit the Secret-Keeper? I think they need one - government problems and all that.

This sounds like something Nicktoons Network would pick up.

As for the secret, what secret are they keeping? What, that they're dinomen?

Something impossibly awesome Nicktoons would pick up.

Pitch it to them.

Now.

Well, if you have advanced technology and are being piloted by aliens, wouldn't the government want them?

Oh... yeah. Well, I guess they'll have to hide that technology somehow. If they're very advanced, why not cloaking?

Sadly no cloaking, the Machinasaurs are not able to cloak since they're build to fight directly. There is their fourth ranger who can "shark swim" though.

Now that I think about it, how about this instead?

The local military air force allows them to shelter their stuff as well as have them maintained, when in fact the government wants to actually study and replicate their tech secretly.

That would probably add a great plot point.

Yeah it would explain the black versions of the Machinasaurs which are possessed by Boydo.

I need visuals. All this terminology is confusing me.

Well the plot progresses something like this: land on Earth; stop initial attacks; stop Boydo from reaching Earth space however it manages to survive and exist in Earth; they then realize that the military actually copied (and even mass produced) the Machinasaurs that function without Jurassic Energy; those then get possessed by Boydo, to which the dinosaur men had to fight causing their machines to "develop" new strengths; a new mysterious figure appears to fight them who controls a Machinasaur too.

That's how I got it so far.

So if the government has copied their technology, then does that mean that there's no secret keeper?

Yeah, I realized that it's much more feasible to have the government "help" them, and they befriend a female pilot there.
