I'm not sure about the Aozakis. Ciel too. Maybe I'll throw in a good Zouken to counter Evil Rin. Sion maybe, but gotta warn you, I mostly know her from the Melty Blood X manga and Carnival Phantasm. Cant use the DAA either. Too Big Bad-y.

I just noticed we don't have a stereotypical arrogant Magus. I posit Cornelius Alba.

Actually, I think not having such a character would make things more interesting. No one for the audience to feel deserves it. Everyone is sympathetic so you feel every death and defeat. You can't just say well that guy was a dick anyway, so who cares?

I normally wouldn't suggest OCs, SCM, but why not adding some here? Juliet from the Negima Fanfic Thread might fit in.

Not ALL are protagonists. I have a Shinji, a Kirei, and a Ryuunosuke in there. I suppose I might as well make the last four OCs, but that feels so cheap…

I suppose Dan Blackmoore, Tohsaka Sakura (Matou Rin's sister), canon evil Zouken and Caster Medea's nameless Master it is. The line-up is complete! Now I can stop worrying and write!

Too hax, him and Merem working together are supposed to be capable of taking out Altrouge and her guards IIRC.

The reason I chose Gransurg is because he actually has characterization and doesn't get killed off by Shiki. But I do admit that Nevermore is too overpowered for the setting.

Same with Aoko really. After playing through Mahoyo, I am convinced that she could solo a normal Grail War (assuming she doesn't get caught unaware) and you cannot convince me otherwise. The Fifth is more hax than Gae Bolg and Fragarach!

Remember, magic resistance and speedblitz. She can fight one on one with servants by Word of God but I just don't see her soloing the war, she would get sniped.

And remind me, what's so hax about the Fifth?

Gilgamesh hiding out despite the previous war being over. Ilya being loaded down with command spells (at least 15), The shit Zouken pulls in Heaven's feel. Caster summoning a servant herself.

There's plenty that's Hax about Grail War number 5.

Though it might be fairer to say it was a massive clusterfuck.

I was asking what was so hax about the Fifth Magic.

Well, after a straight hour of getting my ass kicked, I managed to kill off Robin Hood in Fate Extra.

Now getting back to Fate Stay Night itself for a while.

Also, What If? Shiro Emiya summoned not Saber Arturia, but Saber EXTRA?

@SCM: Maybe they don't all want to kill each other (referring to that Eva Grail War). But Gendo and Keel have decided that they need each other gotten rid of, Shinji has Outlived His Usefulness, so Rei III has been ordered to get rid of him while Gendo focuses on Keel, which sends Misato into Mama Bear mode and she goes on a Roaring Rampage of Revenge against Gendo, Kaworu's just trying to figure out what the hell's going on, and Asuka decides to defend Shinji because...

—>Asuka: "NOBODY HURTS THE DUMBASS EXCEPT ME!!!!"

Also, take their wishes into consideration - Gendo's willing to end the world to be with Yui again, Shinji wants someone to love him unconditionally (which makes me think he'd get Caster), Keel evidently is willing to end all life as we know it to become immortal, Asuka more or less wants the same thing as Shinji (along with a healthy dose of others recognising her inherent awesomeness), Kaworu would probably have the Grail make him into a Lilim if that were possible, Misato wants her life to be not screwed up anymore, and I don't know if Rei III wants anything except to keep following Gendo's orders.

At least the primary antagonists would be happily willing to kill the other Masters to get their wish, whereas the others, well.... wouldn't that make it interesting?

Suppose he makes it out just barely. Alternately, suppose that he doesn't get killed as often, either due to the timing of the universe being slightly off, him just being a tad bit luckier, or him having a Healing Factor due to some other reason.

The Blue is... the destruction of order? Maybe? I'm still not quite sure on the specifics, but one of the applications is changing when events happen. Such as the event of getting hit with an attack being moved 100 years into the future. Or maybe the past. It won't matter because by then she'll already be dead or not born yet.

And her magecraft style may be uniquely suited to overcoming Magic Resistance. If MR destroys spell effects, the use of magical energy to make the world produce an effect such as a fireball, then Aoko doesn't care about MR. She just fires pure magical energy as beams and missiles.

Wouldn't that strategy only work on moves that are not instantly fatal? Does she still need to be alive after the blow is struck to change when it hits?

Isn't that pretty much what Caster's beams are as well? Doesn't Magic Resistance work just fine on them?

All in all, I see her doing well against Lancer, Archer (if she catches him rather than him sniping her) and Rider (unless she's under Sakura, then I'm not sure) but run into serious problems against Saber (Magic Resistance), Assassin (isn't there something the completely screws up magic around the place he guards? So unless she can do it without her beams...) and Caster (by Word of God, Caster beats Aoko one on one).

Just barely getting your stomach ripped out is fatal, and wouldn't even a glancing blow to the area right next to him pretty much cripple him for the rest of the war? Only just surviving has a very long recovery time.

The timing of things being a few seconds off doesn't matter, Illya's attack will still occur. Luck doesn't make blows hurt less, or screw up Berserker's aim (or Shirou's ability to get in the path of a hit). And why would he have another Healing Factor?

Nah, this is after the fifth. It's with that Great Grail War. I have a Shirou from each of FSN's routes. Each gets a Servant-ish.

So, if I understand right, the Fifth magic messes with the order of Cause and effect, like Gae Bolg does?
