Strawman News Media needs some serious looking-into.
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.Teenage Wasteland's examples are all written in type labels.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanStrawman News Media looked more like a meandering essay. I excised the types along with chunks of what looked like overanalysing, but someone may want to take a look.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerWe'll certainly have to take a look. Now there are various types scattered around the place with no explanation.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI took a stab at it, and it's surprisingly simple. Barring a couple ZCE, the types were just Word Cruft.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerStripped the type labels out of Teenage Wasteland. A few of the examples were meaningless without them, and I commented those out.
Done up to the film section of Strawman News Media.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerOk, finishedall except for the Live-Action TV folder (might do later) and the real life section, which is making me nauseous. Sorry, can't take it.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerThe RL section might need a look by the "Real Life section maintenance" thread, actually. That's not this thread, though, so I'll bring it up there, and maybe save you a bit of time if it's voted off the trope page.
All your safe space are belong to TrumpTook a stab at the RL section. Not necessarily perfect.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThe Lead Bassist page has a lot of this, with so many examples saying "X is type (A, B, C, and/or D)" that it's a headache to figure out what is what.
My troper wallEvery single entry on Harem Hero had a type label the last time I looked at it.

Finished Strawman News Media.
I'm looking at Harem Hero and I'm not entirely sure what point it's trying to make. If the hero is a Non-Action Guy then the girls will do the fighting, whereas if he isn't, they will be Faux Action Girls? That's not a meaningful distinction to apply types to.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerHarem Hero was just cut.

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanOminous Floating Castle seems to have some entirely unnecessary numbered subtypes.
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee. While the examples of Not a Date is generally free of this problem, the description can lead to this kind of abuse.
Scientia et Libertas | Per Aspera ad Astra NovaYour Soul Is Mine! has type 1, type 2, and type 2B. Then it's soft-split with an additional "unknown" category. At the very least, we should replace the types with names or brief descriptions or something.
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.Stood Up is a particularly bad case, as the list of types has been removed, but most examples still use type labels.
We Named the Monkey "Jack" might actually need a hard split - the two "types" seem to have completely different narrative purposes.
A genius, a philosopher, an abstract thinkerI swear that came up in a TRS. Something like Insulting Namesake and something else.
Fight smart, not fair.We Named T He Monkey Jack came up in TRS. Would it be worth to resurrect that topic?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanFound a couple "type 1"/"2" examples on Hollywood Nerd (General Hospital and probably others), but since the description's been fixed already I have no idea what the labels mean in order to fix them.
You can just delete the type as it provides no useful content at all.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI mean, how to change the examples into something meaningful. ("X is type 1" is basically the entire example.) So it's okay to just cut the offending examples?
Much better. The page doesn't have a split personality anymore.
