Special efforts would be the place for this I think.
Anyway Nigh Unkillable NPC?
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!That's a bit wordy, but certainly gets it across. Though I'd like to see that custom titled to show inverted commas around Unkillable.
Supposedly Unkillable NPC? Or just Supposedly Unkillable?
My name is Addy. Please call me that instead of my username.Kill The Unkillable, Kill The Invincible
Who watches the watchmen?NPC or something similar should be in there somewhere - this is a video game trope - so I support Supposedly Unkillable NPC.
The problem with that, though, is that this is more about the Audience Reaction of the players deciding to test whether that NPC is indeed unkillable, not about the NPC itself.
Moved to Special Efforts per request.
The trope itself may be an audience reaction, but there's clearly a work-inherent aspect to it. As for names, Kill the unkillable/invincible NPC, as in Tuef's proposal?
Current laconic: "Even if it's invincible, someone will try to kill it anyway."
Another way to say it that involves no audience reaction: "A programming error makes a Hopeless Boss Fight winnable."
That laconic is good.
Should Comicbook.Start Of Darkness redirect to Webcomic. The Order Of The Stick?

Don't know why it should.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanStart Of Darkness (Trope Namer of the trope with the same name) is a print-only Prequel to The Order of the Stick.
I think that it should be left as is so that if someone wants to make an actual page for it, they can without having to break a redirect.
Damian - it isn't only about Hopeless Boss Fights, though...
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableI was thinking about How Can Santa Deliver All Those Toys? the other day when it hit me - Deconstructing Santa.
An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up."Don't know why it should." This is why: http://www.giantitp.com/GIPOTS99.html
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Should Film.Spider Man 2 and Film.Spider Man 3 be a redirect to Film.Spider Man Trilogy, as Film.Spider-Man 2 and Film.Spider-Man 3 are?
A genius, a philosopher, an abstract thinkerSpider Man could link to Spider-Man but I haven't seen anyone write it that way. Google gives me mostly Spider-Man but some Spiderman. Alternate titles seems much more important for works than tropes. Lord British Postulate doesn't sound like what it is, so it could use a name change to fix that. The page Tortall Universe or just Tortall is the only place to go for the series of Song Of The Lioness, The Immortals, Protector Of The Small, Daughter Of The Lioness, and Provost'sDog.
Wanting to make hide a redirect to Hideto Matsumoto, as it's his stage name and the name he was/is most known by. Obviously, not the word "hide" itself (I can only imagine the chaos that would cause across the wiki) but if someone goes out of their way to bracket they're likely going for him and not "to conceal oneself."
That doesn't seem to be the right namespace.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI noticed the duplicate "Playing With" pages for both Does Not Understand Sarcasm and Sarcasm-Blind. They can't be both pages at once! One of them should be redirected to "Sarcasm-Blind"! Can you help me do it?
Playing with pages don't need to be redirected usually, especially since redirects in that namespace break the indexing mechanism. I'll Cut List the wrong one.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI also noticed that there was a Quotes page for Real Women Never Wear Dresses, yet Real Women Don't Wear Dresses didn't have a Quotes page. So I created a Quotes page for Real Women Don't Wear Dresses and copied all the quotes from the "Real Women Never Wear Dresses" page. Now one of these Quotes pages should be redirected to "Real Women Don't Wear Dresses". Can you help me do it?
This might go better in Trope Talk, but oh well. The mods can move it if necessary.
A lot of opaque trope names need a few good redirects. Normally, people just add one, or if they can't think of any, start a TRS. With the repair shop freeze, we need a general thread for that—here it is.
First up is Lord British Postulate. It's a video game trope; basically, there is a difference between making something invincible and very, very hard to kill. For the latter, players will find a way to kill it. Any ideas?
