Character Development Thread--Discussion

Well, it mostly has to do with being willing to let her touch his very essence, or at least the link between his and Armory Knight's, as well as Armory Knight's. That involves tons of psychic/metaphysical blocks, and the way she is most used to unlocking then through the subject's willing submission, even if temporary.

On the other hand, that is only the optimal way, and just internally admitting that they need her help and trusting her intentions would be enough. Harder done than said however, as part of the healing process involves partially "breaking down" Armory Knight's form to try to transform him into one closer to his original one, even if not necessarily identical, so the synchronization between his restored mind and his new body make the enchantment more stable. If the Golden Being loses his trust and sees it as a veiled attack, the consequences could be anything you want, except what Sentinel planned.

The thread page mentions a holographic doctor, but I'm going on the assumption that it hasn't shown up yet.

@Master: Well, what do you usually do? I'm wanting certainty of character interaction before introducing Reily Connors, but admittedly her backstory is all kinds of crazy.

There is at least one Emergency Medical Hologram in the sickbay. You guys just haven't been paying attention to it.

I am definitely leaning closer to adding AEGIS!Loki to Space Liner, much to potential headache of folks. I'm just trying to pin down an appropriate outfit now.

@Eterna: Psychic blocks aren't exactly an issue for GB. Though I don't see the necessity in reshaping AK given the usually Voluntary Shapeshifting available to him.

@Will: Ooh, maybe go the "Two good things together equals one bad thing" angle? Like an outfit that parodies and mocks that entire idea.

@Kkutwar: Sometimes I move the characters to another location or I just wing it, lol.

@Kkutwar: well, then the reshaping could be less aggressive, more natural, and there would be less chance of backfire.. unless you want it to backfire anyway.

Anyway, I am unsure if I will be able to post today . But I am thinking of what to post.

@Master: I tend to ask the others involved if there's a specific angle they're going for, or if there's stuff they want my characters to react to specifically. I'm a mix between planning and improvisation personally. Lots of areas haven't been touched so far however.

@Eterna: In general, I'm really fond of stuff like Freak Lab Accident or Our Phlebotinum Child: Weird, unpredictable results combined by (strange) things interacting bizarrely. Like, how Arrowverse Livewire got her powers because of Kara getting struck by lightning. Or, you know, The Powerpuff Girls.

@Dream II: Speaking of which, I'm liking the idea of Stitcher-kun's daughter Arizona being a Phlebotinum Child. The question, though, is how and when she should be born... I'm getting an idea, but elaborating would involving revealing important stuff about Psyche-chan. So overall, would anyone object to Arizona making an appearance near the end of this arc?

@Space Liner: On a similar line, I got a character 'named' Col whose left arm is an intelligent being herself. Col is something of a "Cool Sis" type who likes helping people maximize the potential of their abilities or gear. The specific incarnation would have Soul Power, as well.

Planning to finish my Space Liner post after I finish copy-editing a short story for BFR, and then I'll start working on Marble Corridor and the clinic in Dream.

It seems my old friend depression has returned. No need to worry on my behalf, just got done filling out the forms, getting everything in order to schedule a clinician visit, et cetera. I'm an old hand at this song and dance, it's mostly a nuisance and fodder for some of my darker jests at this point. Still, posting rate may suffer a bit while I'm dealing with it.

Had my first classes of this year these past two days. I'm a little worn out, getting used to this routine again, but nonetheless I should be able to post something for Space Liner tomorrow.

Behold! A Rummage Sale Reject appears in Club Bizarre!

I have been doing Disney things because my parents wanted to do stuff near my University. I should probably be able to get back on board tomorrow.

If you'd like to post what you had KC, I hadn't had much of any response cooked up yet anyway. I don't think I'll really be able to get anything done before 2pm PST Saturday. Should you post before then it doesn't effect me.

What is the turn order at Club Bizarre? And are Iragan and Discoverer a separate group from the rest?

I'm pretty sure they're separate from any other characters in Club Bizarre currently. Discoverer is likely to approach Will's new character though.

I've more or less settled on an initial character for Space Liner. Finally.

So, posted. Cecilia is having a crisis of faith, making things at the sickbay a little intense, Robin's getting more and more embarrassed and Iragan is acting like a grumpy old man he is.

I've kind of lost track a bit, but I think ladytanuki might be up next. I guess the order doesn't have to be super-strict though.

I feel like I'm at a point where I can at least try to juggle more than one character for Space Liner, so I will be adding a character to the observation deck later today after I get back from seeing Kong Skull Island.
