Y Ou should do a JLA variant where Homura is Batman....
... she really didn't mind that much, since they never were there for her anyway, but she still made the jump shortly afterwards anyway. Appealing as it was imagining Madoka in colorful tights and pixie boots, last thing Homura wanted was having her beaten to death with a crowbar.
Yes, we know it was actually the bomb afterwards which killed Jason Todd. Bite us, fanboys.
Fortunately, they didn't feel the need to ask too many questions about anyone who could help them take down Awakened Beings.
Homura didn't know whether to be relieved or regretful that this time she wasn't the one Madoka asked to kill her before using up all that energy turned her into a monster.
"... This is all a joke, right?" Homura muttered. It didn't help that she just had an orange fall on her head. Luckily, the Jade Tiger just managed to step on a mine that she had planted down just moments before and it blew up.
Surely she won't regret doing that.
Kyoko rushed up and seemed to plant something on Charlotte's face, causing the face to duplicate for a moment. Then, Kyoko ripped off her impromptu addition, causing the two faces to snap back into one and be damaged. With a smirk and a laugh, she shouted, "Never underestimate Kyoko Asakura's KISS!"
Sayaka was surrounded by storm clouds, and once in proximity to the enemy let out a powerful electrical shock, before dousing the Witch with a rainstorm. Turning to Mami, she then called, "All right Foo Fighters, you're up!"
Mami, who was acting and speaking like a completely different person, nodded. "On it, Weather Report!" As she spoke, black-and-purple humanoid life-forms emerged from the water droplets soaking the Witch and began attacking it.
Madoka, preparing to finish the battle, coolly called out, "Stone Free."
As if it were a whisper on the wind, Homura was certain that the Witch being pummeled into oblivion by invisible fists was accompanied to a faint battle cry of "ORA ORA ORA"...
Really, the only reason Homura hadn't jumped yet was due to finding the situation so... bizarre...
The next thing Homura realized, she was in Madoka's room, bound up as if by invisible string. Once Madoka came into view and Homura saw what she was wearing... or rather, not wearing... the time-traveler decided to hold off on looping back until after observing how this next sequence of events played out.
Okay, I don't even watch Jojo and that one cracked me up. Well done.
We should totally collect these and publish them somewhere... this is crackfic gold.
For the sake of the Jojo impaired, I feel some minor exposition is in order.
Kyoko got the Stand KISS, meta-lifted from Hermes Costello. KISS's ability involves stickers. Plant a sticker on something, and it will be duplicated. Remove that sticker, and the two duplicates resolve back into one thing. However, this causes the original thing to suffer some amount of damage. IIRC, Kiritsugu Emiya's Origin embodies a similar concept.
Sayaka got Weather Report, the ability of which is pretty much Exactly What It Says on the Tin. However, to keep it from being game-breaking, the effective range is dialed down to, IIRC, a meter or so.
Mami got Foo Fighters, which was a unique life-form originally composed of plankton that was granted self-awareness as well as its Stand. Whether Mami just has the Stand, or her dead body has been taken over by the Foo Fighters entity, is irrelevant to that particular snippet.
Madoka's Stand, Stone Free, is that of JJBA Part 6's main character, Jolyne Cujoh. Much like Jolyne's father's Stand, Stone Free has great offensive power and Rapid-Fire Fisticuffs. It also has the ability, channeled through the user's own body, to unwind itself into a long and continuous string that can be psychically controlled for any purpose the user can imagine.
Homura obviously didn't have a Stand, but if she did, I probably would've broken the "lift powers from Part 6" theme I had going and fitted her with Killer Queen Bites the Dust form Part 4.
Chapter 2 of Shattered Skies is now up.... and now we see what's happening with Sakura...
Feel free to check out the Tropes page too, if you want.
Um.... I've written stuff for PMMM, but I don't know if I should talk about them here....
(In case you are wondering what I've written, they are: in which Madoka and Sayaka do not contract, in which Sayaka Miki becomes Miki Aono, in which we get bits and pieces of PMMM from Kamijou's POV, and a crossover with Katawa Shoujo that is currently on hold.)
My AO3. Results may varyThat actually sounds like it has potential.
Charlie Stross's cheerful, optimistic predictions for 2017, part one of three. The Madoka and Sayaka don't contract one is more like "Madoka and Sayaka don't contract, but everyone else dies except for Hitomi."
And Katawa Megucas is currently stopped right before I split into everyone's routes.... (link here: http://archiveofourown.org/works/2182314/chapters/4776699.... and sorry if some of the characters have weird counterparts or if stuff comes out of nowhere....)
Thanks.

My AO3. Results may varyAh, megucas put into the katawa setting. I was expecting it to be the other way around. Katawa hidden issues + meguca suffering = lots of energy for Kyubey. I'll have to look through it *glances awkwardly at backlog* at some point.
Hey, Katawa is fair game for just about everything after a friend told me about a game he was part of. Three words: Call of Yamaku.
Charlie Stross's cheerful, optimistic predictions for 2017, part one of three.Hm. Not sure who'd have the best chance of survival there. Lilly's blind, and I don't think most eldritch tomes are written in braille, but Emi's obviously the best runner.
I'm having a crisis. In my fanfiction, I have added the two mini-moƩ to my team, but have no idea how to write their personalities. I mean, the anime doesn't say much about Yuna or Nagisa, do they? Much less thier personalities..
The Puella Magi Wiki may be able to help, but there's not much to the characters to go on, honestly. Nagisa isn't given any character development at all; it felt like they needed someone to play second fiddle to God's Spymaster and just grabbed the fan-favorite. Yuna's a little better, but Oriko Magica only barely develops her as a character. In both cases, they're strictly B-characters; I'd swear Hitomi gets more character development than either of them.
Just spitballing, but you might be better off creating your own PMs with their own motivations and characterizations. Go regional and/or historical for inspiration, and don't forget to get creative with the costumes. (Memo to self: I Wanna Be in the Cavalry is completely viable for inspiration...)
Charlie Stross's cheerful, optimistic predictions for 2017, part one of three. As far as Nagisa goes, I'm pretty sure that witch natures are supposed to be reflective of the side of their megucas' personalities that they tended to present to the world. Oktavia falls in love, Ophelia has abandonment, Candeloro is inviting, Homulilly self-reliant, and Gretchen is merciful. Charlotte's nature is tenacity, so that should suggest Nagisa's characterization.
And hey, bright side is you don't have to worry too much about conflicting with her canon personality.

My impression of cat-hammer girl is she's like Kyoko's clingy little sister with hero worship.
Good ideas.... (scribbles down things. My 51 readers will be so pleased. I think Yuna will be more fun to write now.

....what if Watamote crossed over with Madoka???
I picked up only a little when I looked through the page on it, but it does have potential for one very big point that's worth exploring: Mean Girls themes.
After all, much of adolescence for girls is about social jockeying. Between the cliques and the petty bickering, it resembles nothing so much as the squabbling statelets of the Holy Roman Empire during the Middle Ages (substituting vicious slander and character assassination for political intrigue and actual murder, of course). Imagine what someone with a wish could do there...and what the consequences might be.
(I'm intending to explore those themes in my currently-stalled story.)
Charlie Stross's cheerful, optimistic predictions for 2017, part one of three.Theory: all megucas are capable of minor reality warping to some extent, even in ways not involving their power set.
Evidence: Homura both flies and exhibits a spherical energy shield in a previous T/L, specifically the one in Madoka's dream. Kyouko manifested a set of binoculars to surveil Sayaka right after she engaged her first witch. And Mami...where to start? Energy shields, hot tea out of nowhere, and that's not counting the party trick of turn in ribbons into Baker rifles. "Warp reality with the power of ribbons" might be a better description of her capabilities. Sayaka isn't on the list, probably due to inexperience.
I suspect 'the ability to do anything as long as it's not that hard' is a de facto capability for the megucas.

Charlie Stross's cheerful, optimistic predictions for 2017, part one of three.Well, Kyoko's 'nocs were actually just enchanted regular ones (she was in some sort of observation tower), but yeah, it seems like M Gs get a weapon and can basically work it from there. As long as you don't have something silly like Sayaka making a musket out of swords.
Homu-Sanjou! The part I liked there were Homura's time travel machines... Well, I tried...
She noticed something was wrong the 18th time she jumped back.
"Emissary of pink! Cure Madoka!" Madoka declared as she faced the Witch.
"Emissary of blue! Cure Sayaka!"
"Emissary of red! Cure Kyoko!"
"Emissary of Yellow, Cure Mami!"
There was a pointed silence, and everyone stared a Homura.
"What?"
Madoka still died, but that was because Homura's brain was too busy trying to reset from seeing Walpurgisnacht being destroyed by a pink, red, yellow and blue beam drill...
Her next jump back, everything seemed nomal but by the 23rd jump...
"Shabadoobee Touch Henshin!" Madoka's Soul Gem declared.
Having your soul gem be the size of your head and used as a helmet, it turned out, was not a good idea.
On her 29th jump, it happened again.
"Wingardium Leviosa!" Madoka cast.
The Witch stepped on her.
And on the 31st jump...
"Shazam!" Mami, Madoka and Sayaka cried as lightning struck them. The wind caught Mami's new cape as skin-tight, bright yellow costume gleamed. "By the power of the wizard, I am Captain Marvel!"
"I am...!" Sayaka declared. "Captain Marvel Junior!"
"Madoka Marvel is here!" Madoka declared. "Surrender and become a team player, Black Kyoko!"
Homura didn't even stick around for Walpurgisnacht...
And on the 33rd jump...
"Sailor Madoka!"
"Sailor Sayaka!"
"Sailor Kyoko!"
"Sailor Nagisa!"
"And Sailor M, now Sailor Mami!"
"In the name of the Soul Gem, we will punish you!"
Homura gave being Homura Kamen a shot, she really did, but the girls seemed to have a thing against firearms...
And on the 37th jump...
Please, take this gem and make a contract with-
That was as far as the ferret got before Homura shot it and the marble-like red gem it was offering.
As Madoka stared at her in horror, Homura said, "It had rabies," even as she wondered when Incubators came in ferret variants...
And on the 39th jump...
"Hard Drive Divinity!" Madoka declared. ""Pink Heart!
"Hard Drive Divinity!" Mami declared. "Ribbon Heart!"
"Hard Drive Divinity!" Kyoko declared. "Red Heart"
"Hard Drive Divinity," Homura said blandly, just to se what would happen. "Gray Heart."
"Hard Drive Divinity!" Sayaka cried. "Blue Sister!"
Homura looked down at herself, decided the skin-tight outfit wasn't to her tastes, and jumped again. Besides, she really didn't understand this 'Shares' mechanic...
