In Exalted, by the time you conquer a nation, you are basically just done with your first adventure.

They are toning that down a bit for 3e, though, because the writers are tired of the idea that just ruling a nation is for pussies*.

.*hilariously enough, in the case of lunars, this is actually literal

No, but I regularly check the official forums, rpgnet and so on for interesting tidbits.

I'm withholding judgment until I see a finished product, and several supplements. But if they actually fix certain problems like that one, I'm all for it.

In other news:

• I am not allowed to withhold tips on the intricacies of a system from new players, because they don't have as much fun as they can if I do.

If you've actually done that, that's a dick move.

I actually told them every single rule of the game. I just expected them to pick up on the possibilities faster. I immediately explained what they were supposed to do when I realized they didn't.

I think it was a modern GURPS.

Despite the legitimacy of using skilled and decently equipped attackers with powerful limpet explosives. I am not allowed to topple the GM's walking mechanical giant plot device and call it a day.

There is no situation in which an Orky version of Der Fuehrers Face is considered acceptable background music.

For another player: Ork drug dealers are banned and never to be spoken of again. A Big Mek version of Tony Montana that sells Daemon crack (which is actually a thing) is immoral even by our group's standards.

Not to ask what happens when you place two mirrors of opposition against each other.

Not allowed to enchant a Klein Bottle as a Bag of Holding.

• Not allowed to have an Efreeti thrall to grant infinite wishes.
• Not allowed to mind control every NPC I come across with magic.
• Not allowed to treat Diplomacy and Bluff as mind control, no matter how well I roll.

Those last two should be universal. Way too many bad experiences come to mind.

• No longer allowed to play a halfling and declare other party members are my mount.

No longer allowed to declare the Lunar is my familiar, if being my mount is all that he is good for.

• I may also not be allowed to cast 9th level spells off a 12th Level character. With prestige class levels.
• Just because my magic item can make the party redundant doesn't mean I should.

Cannot look up enemies in the monster manual mid battle and claim my alienist girl is hearing good advice from beings from the Far Realm.

I am using my minor action to sustain the effect of the spell, not "feeding it a minor."
