A question for your characters

Oho, very good question sir, let's see. I'll do three characters.

Blue: Just...to be.

Iha: A moment of peace, just one. Fucking. Moment.

Mhai: To help, I really do just want to help, that's, that's normal, right?

Elisa: For things to be a little more clear-cut.

Sam: I dunno...world peace?

Matthias: I want someone to bump Three Character Questions.

Gant: I want a little corner of the world where there will always be war, just for me.

Holz: I want my constant memories of the war to stop. If that's impossible, I want to die in battle.

Itou: I want money or power. I can just use one to get the other. If I have that, I can always get what I need.

Trigger-Happy: I want things to shoot.

I'd like to live just long enough to be there when they cut off your head and stick it on a pike as a warning to the next ten generations that some favors come with too high a price. I would look up into your lifeless eyes and wave like this. :byewhore:

Aurus: to have fun and wear nicer clothes

Lee: To survive the war

Landon: World peace! But not too much, I need a job fighting the bad guys.

Always a good question to have an answer to. For every major player in my story:

• Alexander: To usher humanity into a new era of greatness, to expand beyond our little blue cradle and into the stars!
• Alice: To keep doing the job I so dearly love for as long as I'm still alive to do it.
• Frank: To make the world a better and more just place.
• Greg: To survive another day and protect those I care about.
• Isaac: To make sense out of this crazy fucking world.
• Julia: I wish I knew... I'm just seeing where life takes me right now.
• Sigmund: To be certain my name is indelibly burned into human history.
• The Eyes and Teeth (approximate translation): To *end* the *beginning*. To *sing* into the *bubble* so that I can *hear* the *sweet music* once again.

Cassia (Before story): I want things to go back to the way they were, before Meda ran off and left me to go be an Apprentice. I want my twin sister back!

• After story: I want to serve my charge and protect my people.

Meda: I want things to go back to the way they were, with me living as an Apprentice in Galatos' house. I want peace and time to create my art.

• After story: I want peace and solitude to create my art, and for Cassia to be my friend again.

Draco: RARGH

Kyle: I want to protect my country  ^*

Frederick: I want to protect Kyle  ^*

Rose: I want to understand what that . . . monster did to me  ^*

Gale: I want money, just enough to survive on  ^*

A select few:

Beta: To protect my family and by extension, the city they call their home.

Wolf Wight: To get the recognition I deserve.

Apex: To break apart the Divine Unified African Empire and return the continent to its natural state of strife and chaos.

Ether: Everyone who isn't me to die.

Tom: I want to be human again. Or to have someone to talk to, someone who won't just ignore how different I am.

• Diablo: Make this universe my plaything and crush any stupid asshole who gets in my way.
• Ba'al Hadad: To make my father understand the pain he inflicted on my brothers, my mother, and myself when he abandoned us to love humanity.
• Belit: To make friends and be accepted for who I am as a demonness.
• Victor Shamash: To become the world's greatest gunslinger and send a few evil souls to Hell while I'm at it.
• Asmodeus: To create a pure order in the universe where traitors and monsters like El and Diablo are not tolerated, and to avenge the wrongs committed against my demonic brethren by devas and humans.

• Mally: "To live, rather then just wait for the reaper."
• Laurie: "To go home."
• Tol: "To stay with Laurie."
• Donal: "To have a function."

Incidently, in context the last two characters' responses would put them firmly in Woobie territory.

Wow. This was more helpful than I thought it was going to me. I missed a key character point in two of them.

• Brooke: To kill those who want to kill me, and gain all of my power that was once lost.
• William: To atone for my sins and take the power and authority away from those who would abuse it.
• Reisa: To make sure my friends live a peaceful happy life, and to make sure that those who said they would die for me, never have to.
• Trina: To find a perfect miracle. One that doesn't have strings attached, has a double edge or is only temporary.
• Judecca: To invoke God's wrath by slaughtering thousands, and get him to deal with me on a personal level, so he can ignore me no longer.
• Marisa: To get the world geared out of this state where doing the same thing over and over again is the only way to live. To help a select few quit being stereotypical.

• Phil Derby: I don't know. Right now I want to get my thesis done.
• Howard Waite: To master the power of magic, and then...To be honest I'm not sure what to do then. Eh, I'll think of that when I get there.
• Zaran: Oh....World peace would be nice. But I think right now I want to eat cake. That is a wish that might actually come true!
• The Herald of the Outer Gods: What do I want? I'll tell you what I want, mortal. I want to quit! I want nothing more than to walk to my so-called "masters", tell them that I'm done with this and they can go screw themselves, walk out of the metaphorical door and spend the rest of eternity alone in my own pocket dimension. But can I do that? NO! I'm doomed to serve forever! No vacations, no retirements, no nothing! And it's driving me crazy! *goes off on a rant about how much his position sucks*

• Alira: To have sex with everyone in the multiverse.
• Jim: To get out of this clusterfuck without having to do any paperwork. And some donuts would be nice, too.
• Kylie: To be the best fighter I can. And to find a man who loves and understands me.
• Jason: To get Kylie back, so I can love and understand her. And to keep both of my arms.
• Tara: To choose who I'm going to marry for myself, instead of having some fucking prophecy decide it for me.
• William: To be able to talk to Tara without worrying that I'm going to puke on her.
• Professor Banks: To give all of these bloody wankers failing grades.
• Binky: A Wii!
• Jane: To serve God, in whatever capacity he chooses.
• Nathan: To make people laugh.
• Chris: World peace.
• Mark: To be useful.
• Carrie: To have my own reality show.
• Jeff: Money. What else is there?
• Agent Adams: To kill the fuckhead who murdered my niece.
• Andrius: To rule with a fair and just hand.

• Caroline: To get out of this mess alive, and to finally have a life with the right balance of variation and stability.
• Kestrel: I want him back. Failing that, I want to continue getting better at what I do, stay close to the few friends I have, and maintain the level of power I have now.
• Joseph: I want to spend my life with Caroline. I want to travel, experience a bit more of the world. And I want to make sure that if I ever have to see any of these people again, it will be on my own terms.

• Rowin: To be a hero and marry a princess, just like in the stories.
• Dyphise: The approval of my father.

• Falkyn: To have a purpose.
• Kerad: To hurt the world for hurting me.

Ulyphia: I want complete and eternal existential security at all costs. It would be nice of all the unenlightened masses to either remove all their traditions and beliefs or stay out of my way while we're at it...I mean, I want nothing more than what you want. Listen, I think we can help each other...

Ludin: Just give me some truth. I want to find something, maybe a god, a man, an idea, worth my loyalty. I wouldn't care if it was a woman, even. And then I must find true righteousness and pull the trigger for it. I wish my friend would take that up as well.
