I think Jessica Boone should play more villains. She has a great evil voice as demonstrated in a few scenes in Princess Tutu, but she almost exclusively plays cute little girls.
(Should that be in past tense? Wikipedia claims that she's gone back to voice acting, but I don't see any recent roles on their list. She's in Canaan, which came out like a month ago. Cool.)

I guess it is.I would say Spike Spencer but until until recently....
I'll second Mitsuki Saiga.
Aki Toyosaki as either someone Ax-Crazy or the Tall, Dark and Bishoujo brand of villainous.
MAL Profile | Underwhelming blogRie Kugimiya got her chance to play against her type with Risa in Persona 4 who is as far as Tsundere as you can get... so umm I cant think of one off hand.
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!Yuri Lowenthal needs to start doing something manly, or at least something he won't be bored with.

Half-Life: Dual Nature, a crossover story of reasonably sized proportions.I would argue that Sun Ce works for "Manly".
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!I want to see Joji Nakata as a chibi character.
I don't know why, I just do.
If people learned from their mistakes, there wouldn't be this thing called bad habits. One of these days, Daisuke Ono will voice someone who isn't raging fangirl bait.
No. He won't.
I guess it is.If Daisuke Ono plays a character that isn't raging fangirl bait, he will make that character raging fangirl bait by virtue of being played by Daisuke Ono.
You know it's true.
Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you. As long as you remember them, you are not alone.Exactly.
I guess it is.Joji Nakata needs to play a Neutral Good character with his usual voice. Hilarity will most definitely ensue.
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialNorio Wakamoto needs to play an Ordinary High-School Student.

You can't even write racist abuse in excrement on somebody's car without the politically correct brigade jumping down your throat!Norio Wakamoto needs to play a Large Ham transvestite.
... Don't ask.
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialYou don't have to specify that a character voiced by Norio Wakamoto will be a Large Ham.
I guess it is.True.
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialMinori Chihara as a Hot-Blooded Genki Girl. (Edit: looks like she's done that, actually)
Hikaru Midorikawa as a character who is a cross between a Boisterous Bruiser and The Wonka. (this would be a casting choice for one of my own fanfics, I also ended up "pretend casting" Takehito Koyasu as this character's boyfriend, and then I later saw these two actors mentioned on the Relationship Voice Actor page, which makes the idea even funnier)
I've heard that Takehito Koyasu might play the voice of the mascot character in Suite Pretty Cure, which sounds rather different from his other roles.

I want Alison Viktorin to play a Hot Amazon, and I want R. Bruce Elliot to play any role that forces him into a non-Texan accent.
For those unaware Alison Retzloff-Viktorin is most notable for voicing Conan Edogawa while R. Bruce Elliot is notable for voicing Kogoro Mori Richard Moore. (though only in the movies).

^R Bruce Elliott (without the period) played Szilard Quates from Baccano!, where he does a nonspecific Eastern European accent. And he's awesome.
Actually, according to the commentary for one of the episodes, he likes to do various accents and would enjoy doing more, since he, like many voice actors, comes from a theater background.

Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you. As long as you remember them, you are not alone.Satomi Satou as a cold-hearted bitch.
You know, I kinda wanna see Crispin Freeman play an uke. In his usual Badass Baritone.
Kana Hanazawa as someone who isn't ridiculously adorable. Although I do have a weak spot for her characters as they are.

How can you get away with that?

Why not a 100% good guy, and no, Sol Badguy does not count.

First post. Now, which seiyuu/voice actor do you want to play against their typecasted roles?
The voice actor/actress I want to see break out of his/her own pigeonhole more often is probably Mitsuki Saiga. Finding her roles which did NOT involve Crossdressing Voices or being Bifauxnen is like finding a needle in a haystack. I liked her to voice more feminine Tall, Dark and Bishoujo characters.
Yes, I wanted also Kouki Uchiyama to play an Ax-Crazy something.
