Kory: i will need to do some more testing to see if the 500KB should be lowered even more but either way everyone can relax because the database will not crash or implode in anyway due to page size so splitting pages isn't a huge priority and is just more of a suggestion. For pages that actually load slow, splitting the pages will help slower internet users navigate these pages better.
It looks like pages over 500,000 characters (html formatted, that is) are crashing the server when someone tries to edit them. programmer's whine
They need to be fixed, anyway. Way too big for one page. They need to be broken up into subpages of a reasonable size.
I'm trying to get better about communicating before big changes, so we'll let this one run for a while before taking the action. The server crashes do come under the heading of 'urgent', though.

Actually, Get A Stupid Answer has had it for a while (as in, several weeks). Just no-one either knew how to split it or felt up to doing it (especially since there's no convenient alphabetical split to use like on most pages).
Isn't the foldering already providing a convenient way to split it? Now I just need to figure out if splits have headers that link back to their super-pages, before I lose motivation...
And the answer is Possibly Not. Link backs are in the index at the bottom.

CUT AllBlue.Broken Record since it's in a bad namespace, and do the same with AllBlue.Evil Overlord. We're trying to reduce stuff located in unnecessary namespaces. And as for splitting JustForFun.Broken Record All Blue Entry, I am not sure if the gag went too far, and some entries should be thinned.

Live Action Film is plural, film as in medium not a movie (and all the other subpages are at Live Action Film, too).
Split it the most logical way, I guess. I’m unfamiliar with the work, so I wouldn’t know.

Get a Stupid Answer is throwing up 'Page is too long' messages again. Personally, I would suggest the Music folder gets its own page - it's definitely the largest.

The Fallout page is 152,321 characters — not too long
Iji is 222,182 ch — not too long by character count, but getting there. However, it is too long for typical readability, I suggest trope list pages
Famous-Named Foreigner is 97,786 ch — should be fine
