Kory: i will need to do some more testing to see if the 500KB should be lowered even more but either way everyone can relax because the database will not crash or implode in anyway due to page size so splitting pages isn't a huge priority and is just more of a suggestion. For pages that actually load slow, splitting the pages will help slower internet users navigate these pages better.
It looks like pages over 500,000 characters (html formatted, that is) are crashing the server when someone tries to edit them. programmer's whine
They need to be fixed, anyway. Way too big for one page. They need to be broken up into subpages of a reasonable size.
I'm trying to get better about communicating before big changes, so we'll let this one run for a while before taking the action. The server crashes do come under the heading of 'urgent', though.

I've been working on two pages and I'm not sure if I need to separate them yet. (https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/FanFic/HorseshoesAndHandGrenades and https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Characters/HorseshoesAndHandGrenades). Would anyone be able to help me on this?
Note to self: Never bet on Entei.Minecraft has been subpaged.
EDIT: Attack on Titan has been subpaged.
EDIT #2: For Diablo, all the information pertaining to Diablo 2 needs to be split to its own work page.

Camilla, both your pages are okay for now.
Half Life World Line no longer exists, though I don't know if it's been moved somewhere else.
I'm inclined to leave Work Pages In Main alone on the grounds that it should, ideally, only shrink.
Did WMG.Kingdom Hearts Open Two and am in the process of doing Characters. The Wire.
Half Life World Line was cut because it's a subpage to an unpublished work. Work Pages In Main does actually get additions periodically, and it's so long that it causes my browser to hang.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanAnd here I thought that we used "Theatre" for stage-related works.
Get rid of the walled gardenWe do, that change to Theater is incorrect.
Noting here that ~lexii un-split the Characters.Downton Abbey page. I've re-split it.

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanHi everyone,
Apologies - I had no idea for the reasons behind page split. All understood.
Lex
Diablo III has been subpaged.
I've sub-paged the Characters page for Community.
I've just sub-subpaged the Batman Arkham Series Rogues Gallery characters page.
I did Kingdom Hearts: Heroes.
"Oh great! Let's pile up all the useless cats and hope a tree falls on them!"WMG.Touhou is approaching the limit; I have ideas for splitting it up.
All WMGs involving characters from the PC-98 era can go under Touhou: PC-98 Era.
Characters or groups with large numbers of WMGs about them can have their own pages, like Yukari Yakumo, Cirno, Alice Margatroid, Sakuya Izayoi and Touhou Lunarians.
WMGs about the end of the series or Gensokyo can go under Touhou Finale.
Unfortunately, I do not know how to split pages.

The people you should take it to are the people who actually edit the page regularly. We're fine with however you want to split it so long as it gets split.
To split the page, copy the relevant WMGs for the page you want to create and paste them on WMG.Touhou Insert Description Here. (Not literally that page, of course; see Creating New Pages.) Repeat that for each page you create, then convert the main page into an index for the pages you created (see How Indexing Works for how).
Looks like someone may have already started for you, though.

I split Roommates and made the original an index.
http://mali-chan.deviantart.com/art/Think-of-the-sphinx-459414472 "Won't you please think of the sphinxes?"I did go through Overly Long Pages and pulled some since-shrunk pages off the index. I've also asked in the Roleplay forum about some of the roleplay-associated pages.
Also, I recall that I did propose a split of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic - General in one of the pony threads and got approval, but I can't find it anymore.
Also, ~Donald The Potholer, did you split JustForFun.Surprisingly Similar Stories? I remember that you did have a split plan.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanYes. I went ahead with a split proposed in their discussion pages to split examples that were primarily character-based from ones that were primarily plot-based. The former are now in Surprisingly Similar Characters. (The latter are still on the "Stories" page.)
I have sub-paged The Vampire Diaries Other Characters
Bumping this for a few problem items:
- Is it time for another big page report?
- There has been some issue about how Dungeons & Dragons should be split. I would suggest to bring it to TRS, since the work's thread hasn't agreed on a scheme.
- There needs to be something done with Headscratcher and WMG pages. Most of them don't have any splittable scheme at all.
A new list is probably needed. As for the D&D page, since the Franchise page is currently a redirect to the game page, I'd say that big list under the logo can be moved to the Franchise page and expanded some. The trope folders can probably be moved to two pages, each one with three of the folders. Also, the current page for the classes should probably be transplanted to Characters.Dungeons And Dragons Classes

Hello. Can you please help with correcting the subpages and cutlisting the improper ones? Here are these that are needed to be moved to the proper names.
