- Accidental Aesop: Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door Repainted. Some people are so desperate about money that they'll go as far as to kill you so that their hotdog stand will have no competition.
- Alternative Character Interpretation:
- In the Final/OW THE EDGE story of Sonic Adventure DX Repainted, is the newly summoned Shadow the result of Coldsteel Shapeshifting into Shadow, while the real deal is still in cryo sleep? Or did Shadow possess Coldsteel's body? Or did they fuse into one another? The fact that Shadow keeps Coldsteel's shoes, gloves, and purple hands seems to point towards the latter.
- Ensemble Dark Horse: Sonic Adventure DX Repainted introduces Warmflesh the Hedgehog, who is just Metal Sonic coloured purple and has no backstory other than being nice in contrast to Coldsteel. He developed a small fanbase, likely for his Polite Villains, Rude Heroes gimmick.
- Heartwarming Moments:
- In SpongeBob SquarePants: Creature from the Krusty Krab repainted:
- In part 1, Fred denied that Mod Andy was unfair after seeing a poster placed by The Dreaded Patrick.
- In Part 2, he states that while he thinks that the game is So OK, It's Average, he's still gonna play though the entire game without cheats, as he wants to show off the effort that the repainter had to muster to repaint the game. In part 3, he finally finished the game (or at least got one ending out of three), and while he didn't like the game that much, he sincerely stated that he enjoy the repainted version of the game.
- In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door Repainted deleted scenes, Mario takes pity Ishnail on by nodding his head when Ishnail asks if he can believe that Don Pianta called Kill la Kill 'Weeb trash'. Also doubles as One of Us.
- In Deltarune: Repainted, an edit made shows that Frisk, Flowey and Chara live healthy (well, aside from the goat flu) happy lives together with Kris and Toriel. Flowey also reveals that he's very much the same person as Asriel here as well, and is popping in to have fun with his siblings while they're sick when he's supposed to be at college. The ending even shows Chara and Frisk sleeping soundly in bed, while Flowey watches TV.
- In SpongeBob SquarePants: Creature from the Krusty Krab repainted:
- Hilarious in Hindsight:
- It's hip to fuck bees? Well, there is a very smutty series of otome games and Drama CDs called Jooubachi no Oubou that is... kind of sort of about that.
- In Deltarune Repainted, the remix of The World Revolving ends with Discord (Jevil's Repainted counterpart) saying "Pick up the Fucking Discord call!". Later, Chapter 2 of the real Deltarune game introduces Spamton, a man whose life changed for the better after receiving a mysterious phone call, only to lose everything and being unable to call his mysterious helper again.
- Jerkass Woobie: Guy Fieri in Sonic Adventure DX Repainted had his wife left him, causing him to hump his robots to cope with his loss. This even happens In-Universe when Coldsteel calls him 'a lonely piece of shit' for letting him live, suggesting that he sees Coldsteel and Fox as the closest thing he's got to a friend.
- Just Here for Godzilla: For a time, Games Repainted tried to be more of a straight Let's Play collective a la Vinesauce, but it didn't really catch on as evidenced by none of the non-repaint streams reaching 1k views on YouTube. Likely the reason why they eventually decided to stop doing solo non-repaint streams.
- Memetic Molester:
- Ishnail is both a scalper and a pedophile.
- Sonic Adventure DX Repainted: Guy Fieri. "And don't disappoint me, or else...I'LL TAKE THEM FROM YOU BY FORCE! THE HARD WAY(!)"
- Deconstructed when it's revealed that he acts this way because his wife left him.
- Moment of Awesome: The final battle between Perfect Pepsi and Shadow The Hedgehog.
- Moral Event Horizon:
- It's hard to pinpoint when Ken Penders crossed it in Sonic Adventure 2 Battle Repainted; he threatened to kill anyone who didn't buy The Lara-Su Chronicles, he copyrighted all forms of sex, and he gave a demand to Angelo that he would give him credit for every idea that Angelo had and creative control over all future repaintings or else he'll reboot Chastley and make him a buff alien cyborg. But the most outrageous line that he crossed is when he decided to ban walking.
- Coldsteel The Edgeheg in Sonic Adventure DX Repainted ends up crossing from Nominal Hero to Villain Protagonist when he goes through a Flashback to see a temple burning, a bunch of dead Chao's, and a grieving Tikal, and he responds by laughing. That was cruel, even in the standards of a confirmed Nihilist.
- Sans/Peter Griffin/Homer Simpson/Chinese Cowboy Luigi/Dr. Robotnik crosses it when he threatens to throw Lancer/Ghost Rider off the castle and let the crowd mosh him. The King in the original Deltarune crossed it by playing The Farmer and the Viper on the trio, seeing as his threat to kill Lancer turned out to be empty and wouldn't kill Lancer. Threating to throw a kid into a crowd with the intent to have them moshed to death is far less excusable.
- Never Live It Down: During a Pikmin 2 stream, Sckrunkus admitted that he cheated on his girlfriend a week before prom. The crew keeps prodding him about it the rest of the stream.
- Nightmare Fuel:
- You think it's all about the memes? Some people are going out of their way just to freak you out and there is nothing you can do. The rules never said so otherwise.
- Chansey's face is replaced by Todd Howard but it looks like he came straight from Sonic.exe
- Padding: In order to keep the final chapter of TTYD on its own stream, Night 3 featured only chapter 5. At the end, to extend the length of the stream, they showed a "Let's Mow" that Sckrunk made.
- At the end of Pikmin 2 Night 2, they watch a video by the notorious Tamers12345.
- Signature Scene
- Luigi's Mansion:
- Chuigi touching a picture of Hugh Neutron's nose and Hugh winking at him.
- Luigi's Chinese Cowboy Impression.
- Cranky's Advice: Kill yourself.
- Super Mario Sunshine:
- The intro; an Overly Long Gag of every logo that you've seen followed by the start of the intro of Shadow the Hedgehog.
- The "Where Are They Now?" Epilogue.
- Pikmin 2:
- The picture of Adolf Hitler.
- Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door:
- STOP USING YOUR COCK TO FUCK THAT SOCK.
- The letter sent by a soon-to-be kidnapped Bowser.
- The shopkeeper in Petalburg. "YOU AS OF YET STILL UNLEARNINGED OF STORE WORKINGS?"

- Bowser's entrance and Kammy reading My Immortal.
- Mario's conversation with Ishnail.

- The montage of explosions when Prison Island explodes.
- The Death Egg killing Cell, the crowd full of characters featured in repaints, and Ken Penders displaying "BUY MY COMIC OR I'LL KILL YOU!".
- IT'S A TRAP YOU IDIOT.
- This is a failure of visual storytelling.
- The "Where Are They Now?" Epilogue. "Andy fucking died. I can't believe it."
- Sonic Adventure DX:
- The intro.
- Fun times in Cleveland today!
- The video for Hentai haters.
- Warmflesh the Hedgehog.
- It doesn’t EVEN MATTER NOW what happens...
- The ending of Knuckles' story, where a bolder crashes into the earth, killing everyone in the entire world. 'Ooooooh Noooo.'
- Red roses too...
- EVA-01 exploding while Shinji screams.
- The final battle between Perfect Pepsi and Shadow The Hedgehog.
- Spongebob Battle For Bikini Bottom
- Luigi's Mansion:
- Take That, Scrappy!: The creators of Sonic Adventure 2 Repainted and Sonic Adventure DX Repainted were not fond of Amy Rose, as she was recoloured to Princess Elise in the former and an Original Character in the latter, and the dialogue made it clear that everyone hates her.
- That One Level: Being a rhythm game with mashed up graphics an music, Rhythm Heaven Fever Repainted can get legitimately challenging, especially if you're playing on an emulator susceptible to slowdown (or worse, don't know the original songs by heart). The edited songs in particular can actually become the audio equivalent of an Interface Screw at the worst. A few examples:
- Bad with internal counting? Exhibiton Match will end you even in the original, but the repainted actively attempts to distract you with Omega Flowey sound effects and music. Even if you're good with it, the distractions can still trip you up simply by proxy of making you lose the sense of rhythm.
- Remix 6, being based on MLG memes, has constant airhorns that'll either drown out or distact you from the cues. It also doesn't help Remix 6 is easily one of the harder remixes even without considering edits, with Love Rap and, of course, Donk-Donk, to constantly trip you up.
- The Scrappy: Parodied with Furry Nick at the end of Super Mario Sunshine Repainted:"Furry Nick was going to contribute to this texture pack, but he forgot to, as he was too busy yiffing."
"Fuck Furry Nick."- Fred sees the civilian in SpongeBob SquarePants: Creature from the Krusty Krab as this since he refuses to thank Starfishman for stopping the train and repeatedly tells Starfishman to look for every piece of his clothing, even though Fred thinks half of his clothing should be enough. At least until he gave him his clothing, then he found out why he needed that much clothing.
- They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: In Sonic Adventure DX Repainted, the dialogue was rewritten into a cheesy plot about Guy Fieri attempting to take over Cleveland with Pepsi... but only for Sonic's story and Super Sonic's story, while the rest of the stories go (mostly) unchanged.
- Unexpected Character: The final battle of Sonic Adventure DX Repainted has Coldsteel summon Shadow The Hedgehog, a character who doesn't get introduced until three real life years after Sonic Adventure was first released. Suddenly, Coldsteel being mistaken for Shadobama makes sense.
