Patman Post is a Postman Pat YTP series created by Seamus Lochigus. Originally inspired by DaThings's Postman Pat YTP, Postman Tap Delivers Fake Letters, there are currently seven episodes. Unlike most YTPs, the poops have a consistent plot, and continuity between episodes.

Episodes so far:

  • Patman Post is a really terrible driver/Patman Post and his porn ring
  • Patman Post in snow motion/Patman Post and the yellow snow
  • Patman Post camps it up/Patman Post and the sheepskank retention
  • Patman Post and German Expressionist cinema/Postbote Patze und die kindertoteneier Translation
  • Patman Post is diverted/Patman Post and the hole story
  • Patman Post investigates/Patman Post and the case of Mr. Julian Skeirr-Creaugh
  • Patman Post re-investigates/Patman Post and the case of Mr. Julian Skeirr-Creaugh Part 2

These YTPs provide examples of:

  • Abhorrent Admirer:
    • Pat sees Miss Hubbard as this, he doesn't seem to enjoy having sex with her for information at all.
    • Ted quickly becomes this for Pat, making advances that Pat repeatedly rebuffs.
  • Alcohol Hic: After some rum, Miss Hubbard develops a hiccup so bad, she explodes.
  • Bestiality Is Depraved: It's mentioned in "Patman Post camps it up" that people like to come on holiday to Greendale to *boing* the sheep. It's assumed throughout the episode that the campers are doing it, but it's revealed at the end that it was actually Ted Glen.
  • Character Catchphrase: Patman:
    • "Terrible!"
    • "Err-ahh-err..."
    • "That's one way to deliver a parcel!"
    • "Goodbye!"
    • "I'll show it to the wife. Heh, she will be pleased!"
  • Character Nameandthe Noun Phrase: Each episode's alternate title begins with "Patman and ".
  • Circling Birdies: Characters who get hurt sometimes have a halo of circling stars for a few moments afterwards.
  • Cliffhanger Copout: The first part of the "Patman Post investigates" two parter ends with the apparent revelation Gromit is the Greased Beast of Greendale who murdered Julian Skeirr-Creaugh. Only for the next part to open with him being cleared of the charges. Part 2 is then focused on Pat finding the real culprit.
  • Collector of the Strange: Pat collects pornographic postcards and keeps a stash of them in his van.
  • Covert Pervert: Pat is one In-Universe. He collects naughty postcards, but has kept this fact a secret from everyone he knows for years.
  • Crapsack World: Greendale is full of craziness; Patman is a reckless driver, Granny Dryden makes meth, the children are all stupid little farts, evil snowmen run amok, the campers (BOING) the sheep, and eventually someone is murdered and put in a Best Corpse competition.
  • Death as Comedy: After Julian Skeirr-Creaugh is murdered, Mrs Goggins decides to use his corpse to win the "Best Corpse Competition".
  • Drives Like Crazy: Patman drives at ridiculous speeds and often crashes his van, especially in "Patman Post is a really terrible driver".
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: In the first episode one of Pat's main traits is that he's a massive pervert who collects pornographic postcards and masturbates over Mrs Pottage in his van. However, later in the series this trait is absent, probably so he can be the Straight Man to people like Ted Glen and their perverted antics.
  • Either/Or Title: Each episode has two titles, one which is the actual title of the video and one which appears in the video, just after the theme song.
  • Evil Twin: Patman has one called Ropen Post, who appears in "Patman Post is a really terrible driver". He gets killed in a Western-styled shootout with Pat, but eventually returns as the main architect behind the windmill plan in the "Patman Post investigates" two-parter.
  • Feed It a Bomb: The characters try this on the toad. The toad eats it and smoke starts billowing out of its head, but other than that it doesn't seem to have much of an effect.
  • Fetish Retardant: In-Universe, Pat sees Granny Dryden telling him all about her hoopee to be this.
  • Harmless Electrocution: Pat gives himself an electric shock when he tries to fix his van, but all it does is make him shout "Terrible!".
  • Mad Bomber: Many characters seem to have the tendency to blow things up.
    • Peter Fogg frequently blows up obstacles in the road. One time this actually kills him, but he's back alive in the next episode. He's also hired to "renovate" the post office, which results in the front wall being completely demolished.
    • Ted Glen's immediate answer to the problem of the toad in the hole in the road is to blow it up, and he seems to have worryingly large amounts of TNT and C-4.
  • Mistaken for Murderer: Patman finds out that the "Greased Beast of Greendale" is a dog, then Wallace appears, looking for his dog. However, it turns out that Gromit had just crashed a plane into Alf's farm, and wasn't involved in Mr Skeirr-Creaugh's murder at all. He's still convicted of the crime, though.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: Patman is almost always shortened to Pat.
  • Overly Long Gag: The Scare Chord when the toad in the hole in the road is mentioned. The characters quickly get annoyed at it.
Patman: Do you have to do that every time I say toad?!
    [Scare Chord]
    Patman: Right...
  • Porn Stash: Pat keeps a stash of nude postcards in his van.
  • Ramming Always Works: The toad in the hole in the road is defeated by ramming it with a train.
  • Running Gag:
    • People drinking cups of pee.
    • Mrs Thompson's cups of pee always being "terrible!".
    • Everything being sponsored by Greendale Gin.
    • The leather-bound stick with a handle.
    • Pat driving too fast and crashing his van.
    • Pat having trouble shutting his van's doors.
    • Pat shutting Jess in the van's doors.
    • In "Patman Post in snow motion", snow falling on Pat's head whenever he leaves a building.
    • In "Patman Post is diverted", a Scare Chord playing whenever the toad in the hole in the road is mentioned.
  • Shout-Out:
    • In the first episode, Jess turns into The Cat in the Hat.
    • In "Patman Post camps it up", the Pencaster Gazette mentions that the explosion from the nuclear fart and subsequent disappearance of the campers has left Fireman Sam baffled.
    • Jess says the line "To the left, to the right, to the left, to the right" while being voiced by Javert. This is a reference to DaThings's Les Misérables YTP, in which Javert says the same line.
  • Slipping a Mickey: Mrs Pottage gives Pat a cup of pee which causes Pat to start tripping.
  • Straight Man: Pat develops into this, though he's not one in the first episode. He's generally the one who objects to everyone else's antics, such as the "Best Corpse Competition", Major Forbes suggesting that Julian Skeirr-Creaugh's murder be covered up, Ted Glen trying to come on to him, and Peter Fogg blowing things up.
  • Suddenly Voiced: "Patman Post is diverted" has Jess speaking via sentence-mixed clips of Javert from Les Misérables (2012). He also gains Javert's cap whenever he talks.
  • Take That!: The children at the school listen to One Direction, which Pat says is "terrible!".
  • Unusual Euphemism:
    • "Hoopee" is used for vagina.
    • Ted Glen refers to his penis as his "doolally".
  • Visual Pun:
    • The line "Letters through your door!" is accompanied by Pat shoving a large letter A into someone's house.
    • Ted's second idea of how to get rid of the toad in the hole in the road is "Let's train it!". The toad then gets hit by a literal train.
    • The line "There was a spring in the air in Greendale" is followed by a literal spring bouncing into the air.
  • Vomit Discretion Shot: Happens twice, once Pat throws up in his van, then it happens again after he drinks Mrs Pottage's drugged cup of pee.
  • Wide Eyes and Shrunken Irises: Mrs Goggins gets these when she realizes all the post is nude postcards for Pat.
  • Wingding Eyes: Miss Hubbard's eyes briefly turn into pound signs when the "very big prize" in the Pencaster Gazette is mentioned.
  • Yandere: Ted seems to be one, he tries to force Pat into having sex with him by threatening him with a knife.
