Vietcong, Fist Alpha, and Red Dawn

• Debatable, but the last mission in the campaign is similar to the Final Battle in Platoon.
  • The T-34 assault mirrors a certain scene in Cross of Iron.
• The Po Tlong Karai hill looks a hell lot like Hill 937 or Hurtgen Forest.
• The Drill Sergeant Nasty from the tutorial mode returns in the campaign as a colonel. He looks a hell lot like Kilgore.

Vietcong 2

• Double shout-outs in the US campaign's intro: The opening shot is taken straight from Platoon, while the ceiling fan is one to Apocalypse Now.
• After killing a VC propagandist, Boone can play around with his radio to taunt the sniper. Sometimes, he'll make a Star Trek reference.
  Boone: Starship Enterprise, this is your Captain speaking. We have boldly gone where no man has gone before, but there is still one Klingon sniper in the sector.
  Boone: Starship Enterprise, this is your Captain speaking. All Klingons are eliminated. The Starfleet should assemble in front of the building at this time.
  • In the same level, a marine yells "Come on you sons of bitches! You wanna live forever?!" He ends up shot by a VC sniper.
• Some of the multiplayer voices were named Rodriguez, Tex, Barnes, Gardner, and Rafterman.
• It's safe to say that the Hue City setting in the US campaign is one big Shout-Out to Full Metal Jacket.
