- There are a lot of parodies of well-known TV shows in this movie:
- Maho Mushi is a general parody of shonen anime, primarily the Dragon Ball franchise, although elements of Pokémon, Gundam and Transformers are also thrown in.
- Carpet Critters is a parody of fellow Nickelodeon show Rugrats (though the title is reminiscent of this short-lived 1990s primetime animated show called Capitol Critters). Klasky-Csupo actually provided animation to their station-mates.
- The Futurellis is a parody of The Jetsons with elements of The Sopranos mixed in.
- Johnny Hunt is a parody of Jonny Quest.
- Go Go Racer is a parody of Speed Racer.
- Heavy Hal is a parody of Fat Albert.
- Blackbird is a parody of the Batman cartoons, with a few elements of Birdman (1967) added in. It is the third Batman parody in the series, after Catman (which parodied the live-action show) and Dark Mark from Power Pals (which parodied the comics).

- Channel 293 has a Rankin-Bass style stop-motion Christmas special a la Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.
- Frosty The Snow Man makes a cameo on the channel.
- Rabid Rabbit is a parody of the Looney Tunes Duck Season, Rabbit Season episodes. The Daffy Duck parody also has white feathers, a blue top and a red bowtie.

- Space Specter is a parody of Space Ghost (the original version of the show, not Space Ghost Coastto Coast) with a few Star Trek elements thrown in.
- The Feldmans is a parody of The Simpsons, complete with Lawyer Friendly versions of Bumblebee Man (Vicky dressed as a flying ladybug), Ned Flanders (who is shown as a hippie who speaks gibberish instead of a conservative Christian man who speaks gibberish), Krusty the Clown, and Barney Gumble (who is shown as a gross, belching slob instead of a drunk, though it is implied that he is one when he flies into "Mike's"note after gaining superpowers from the radiation spill). Timmy even points out that every adult in The Feldmans is stupid and no help to any child, a Take That! to both The Simpsons and The Fairly OddParents itself.

- The scenes with Tootie as "Deep Toot" are based on the Deep Throat scenes in All the President's Men, based on the Washington Post investigation that uncovered Richard Nixon's attempts to rig the 1972 US presidential election. "Deep Throat" was a pseudonym used by FBI agent Mark Felt to relay classified government information to Bob Woodward.
