Film -- Animated

  • Ralph Breaks the Internet: When Ralph and Vanellope first meet KnowsMore, one of the guesses KnowsMore makes about what Ralph is trying to say to him is "Urkel, played by Jaleel White".

Film -- Live-Action

  • Big Fat Liar: Jaleel White appears as himself, and he's constantly irritated by Marty calling him "Urkel".
  • Ted 2: While at New York Comic Con, Ted calls a cosplayer "Urkel".

Live-Action TV

  • Full House: In "Stephanie Gets Framed", Steve Urkel guest stars, revealing he's the cousin of one of Stephanie's classmates, and gives Stephanie some advice about wearing glasses.
  • Step by Step: The episode "The Dance" is a crossover with the show, in which Steve lands in the Lamberts' house as a result of his jetpack malfunction at the end of "Brain Over Brawn" (which aired immediately prior to it on their original airdate).
  • Community: One Halloween Episode has Shirley annoyed that her Harry Potter costume keeps getting confused with Steve Urkel.
  • Key & Peele: In a very NSFW sketch, Urkel's status as a Breakout Character, and the subsequent total retooling of the show around him, is mercilessly parodied. Jordan Peele plays an irate Reginald VelJohnson, complaining to Keegan Michael-Key's producer character Gene about the increasingly bizarre plots on the show ("Steve Urkel turns Carl into a giant sandwich and accidentally eats him?") and the show completely losing its focus (an upcoming episode apparently has Steve teleporting the entire family to another dimension and turning Carl into an Urkel clone—"That's two Steve Urkels and no family on a SHOW CALLED FAMILY MATTERS!"). Things get REALLY dark when it's revealed that Jaleel White isn't even real—Steve Urkel is apparently a Humanoid Abomination with telekinetic powers that allow him to bend everyone around him to his will.
  • Mystery Science Theater 3000's season 6 episode "San Francisco International", Mike Nelson spends every mid-movie host segment pretending to be Urkel, to the utter delight of everyone who sees him. It finally stops when Torgo stops by and admits to having never been a fan of the character.
  • Saturday Night Live: A commercial parody reimagines the show as a gritty reboot titled "Urkel", which also spoofs Bel-Air (an actual dramatic reboot of a beloved black-centric '90s sitcom).
