Crossover

  • In BlazBlue Alternative: Remnant, the readers first learn that Ragna is the reborn son of Ozma/Ozpin and Salem in Chapter 72, with Ragna none the wiser to this fact. It isn't until Chapter 81 where, after a series of memories from his previous life as the Black Beast, coupled with details gained from his new environment in Evernight Castle, he learns that he's Ozpin's son.
  • Child of the Storm: Has a few of these. Jean Grey is Harry's cousin, Bucky Barnes is alive and the Winter Soldier and ends up Mercy Killing Arthur Weasley, Hermione is adopted and the biological daughter of Wanda Maximoff and John Constantine (when she eventually finds out, she is not pleased), Lucius Malfoy murdered Harry's maternal grandparents and Tony's father infiltrated the Hellfire Club for Xavier as the White King and his mother was Sage of the X-Men doing the same (and they were murdered for it). It would have more if it wasn't for the fact that Word of God seems to enjoy shocking the audience at the same time as the characters.
  • Code Geass: Paladins of Voltron (Code Geass & Voltron: Legendary Defender):
    • As of the end of Chapter 8, Return of the Gladiator, Jeremiah, Euphie, Cornelia, Viletta, and Charles and Marianne are aware that Lelouch is still alive.
    • Chapter 11, Confessions and Revelations, has Lelouch reveals that he is a Britannian Prince and is also Zero, while C.C. explains a bit about Geass.
    • Chapter 22, Rai's Escape, has Lelouch realize that his father has Geass and used it to alter his memories about Marianne's death. And during a later conversation with C.C., he learns that she knew Charles, as well as the fact that Charles got his powers from V.V..
  • Code Prime (Code Geass & Transformers):
    • R1: Rebellion
      • Chapter 16 sees Kallen learning that Lelouch is Zero.
      • Chapter 18 has the Black Knight Leadership learn that Suzaku pilots the Lancelot.
      • Chapter 19 has Shirley learn about Lelouch's past, his Geass, and his and Rai's connections to the Autobots.
      • Chapter 26 has the whole world learning that Suzaku is the pilot of the Lancelot.

      • Chapter 28 has Optimus tell Euphemia the history of the Cybertronian War.
      • Chapter 29 has Nunnally learn that Lelouch is Zero and the truth about the Autobots, though she already suspected. Lelouch learns that Sayoko was recruited by Diethard into the Black Knights as a spy. Megatron uses the Cortical Psychic Patch to learn everything about Suzaku's history, including killing his own father, and Rai reveals his past and heritage to Lelouch, Shirley and the Autobots.
      • Chapter 30 sees Lelouch telling Euphie everything (Geass, V.V., Rai's past, Clovis's death, etc.) during a secure phone call. Later, Suzaku informs Euphie over a (not-so-secure) channel that Lelouch and Nunnally are alive and at Ashford Academy and that Megatron knows this and is threatening to tell Charles. All of this is news to Dreadwing, who's also on the call.
      • Chapter 33 has Dreadwing learning the truth of his brother Skyquake's death.
      • Chapter 35 sees Lelouch, C.C. and Suzaku learn that Megatron had been aware of Lelouch's being Zero from the beginning.
      • Chapter 36 sees Rivalz and Nina learning the truth about Lelouch and Nunnally, and the leadership of the Black Knights, along with the Britannian defectors (except Euphie, who learned of this before) learning about Geass and the Autobot/Decepticon War.
    • R2: Revolution
      • Chapter 2: C.C. learns that Anya is Marianne's current host body.
  • I'm Nobody: Roxas spends the start of the fic Faking Amnesia because he has no idea how to explain to the Normandy crew that he's a soulless "human" from a different dimension with only a month's worth of memories. He explains everything to the crew after he along with Axel and Xion defect from Organization XIII after they discover Ansem, Xigbar and Vexen's plan to use Xion to siphon power off Roxas until he dies; another internal reveal.
  • Interdimensional Cartoon Discussion and Support Group (Gravity Falls, Amphibia & The Owl House): Apparently, Stan thought that the wax Larry King head came alive because of Weirdmageddon; during the viewing of Headhunters, he's shocked to discover they had been alive the whole time he had them, and that they wanted to murder him for unknowingly locking them up. Also, during Stakeout, Anne and Hop Pop learn in their shared gourd tea/Berry Blitz induced hallucination, that they almost killed Sprig during it.
  • Kyon: Big Damn Hero (Haruhi Suzumiya & TV Tropes; author Died During Production): In Chapter 60, Sasaki was revealed Haruhi was trying for a Marry Them All situation with Kyon and the girls of the SOS Brigade, while the audience already knows this: developing bonds between the girls so they can rely emotionally not only on Kyon has been an objective for dozens of chapters beforehand.
  • The New Recruit, a One-Shot (Chronicle & Marvel Cinematic Universe): Phil Coulson learns about the events of Chronicle when he meets Matt Garetty. Anyone who saw the film already knows the story, though Agent Coulson is hearing it for the first time.
  • New Stars (The Orville & Star Wars: The Clone Wars): While any Star Wars fan knows about the inhibitor chips placed in the clones that forces them to kill the Jedi, the majority of clones are unaware of this. In this fanfic, Dr. Finn, while examining Maxx, finds the chip (mistaking it for a tumor) and removes it, giving it to Isaac for study. Isaac eventually discovers the chip's purpose, and he and Claire tell Maxx about it. He...doesn't take it well.
  • Oni Ga Shiku Series: For most of his life Izuku had absolutely no idea that his Honorary Uncles were all Yakuza legends. Until a news report announces Majima's death that is. After that particular story arc Izuku demands explanations from everyone.

The Brittas Empire

  • True Love Is Never A Straight Path:
    • Brittas finally figures out in Chapter 13 that Helen has been cheating on him, although the audience knew since the third episode in canon of her cheating ways.
    • Brittas learns from Helen in Chapter 29 that he had fathered illegitimate children and gets confirmation from Laura the chapter after that he is the father of Jessica and Emily, although the audience had known this since "Temple of the Body" in canon.

Disney Animated Canon

  • Distance Wakes The Heart Up: Bruno finds out that Dolores knew where he was the whole time when he tried using his gift to find Mirabel.

Game of Thrones & A Song of Ice and Fire

  • Robb Returns: This happens several times.
    • Eddard tells Catelyn and Jon about the latter's true ancestry (Jon's parents are Rhaegar and Lyanna), and Daenerys learns about the events of Robert's Rebellion.
    • Through a vision, Brynden Tully finds out about what happened to Robb, including the Red Wedding, that his ancestor Edmyn Tully (the one who led the Targaryen supporters against Harren the Black) was foretold of the Targaryens' eventual madness and the death and resurgence of the Dragons and about what will happen if further action is not taken to stop the Others. Brienne undergoes a similar revelation.

Harry Potter

  • In The Dogfather, the reader knows by the end of the first chapter that Harry MacIntyre is the son of James and Lily Potter who disappeared as a child after his parents were murdered by Voldemort, and that his dog is really the notorious escaped convict and unlicensed Animagus (and Harry's godfather) Sirius Black. Various characters over the course of the fic have one or other of these facts dramatically revealed to them, with one of the biggest reveals coming halfway through when the Daily Prophet finds out about Harry and announces his identity to everyone in the Wizarding World who didn't already know.

Hellaverse

  • Owl's Hell That Ends Well:
    • Blitzo and his adoptive daughter Octavia are initially under the impression that Stolas was a callous bastard who willingly gave Octavia away to her kidnappers who tormented her when she was seven, while the reader knows the truth that Stolas was shocked and bereaved when his daughter disappeared from her bedroom one night. Blitzo gradually learns the truth after his first night with Stolas, as Stolas opens up to him about his pain over Octavia's disappearance during their subsequent encounters.
    • In Chapter 25-26, Stolas learns that (A) Octavia is alive, (B) Blitzo's adopted daughter who he mentioned to Stolas before was Octavia the entire time, and (C) that Octavia's kidnappers gaslit her into believing Stolas gave her to them and (D) that she saw him and Loona bonding in the Ring of Envy from afar and it seemed to validate what Via's kidnappers told her in her mind, which means (E) she now hates him.
    • In Chapter 28, Blitzo finally sees fit to reveal to Moxxie and Millie the full details about how he met and adopted Octavia and what happened to her beforehand.

Mega Man

  • Mega Man: Defender of the Human Race:

    • Episode 11, Chapter 11 has the reveal that Mr. Black is on the heroes' side.
    • In the Episode 13 epilogue, Roll learns about ProtoMan and Nomad.
  • Mega Man Dissonance: In Chapter 11/Page 157, Dr. Hook contacts Requiem while no one else is around, showing that she's directly involved with what was assumed to be the rebellion of her robots up to that point. Granted, some readers have suspected this all along.
  • Mega Man Reawakened:
    • Robert reveals the full truth of his half-human, half-robot nature to Quentin Emerald, stunning him.
    • In the finale of Arc 4, Blues reveals to Robert that they are brothers.

Merlin (2008)

  • "Dragonfasting" opens with Gwaine witnessing Merlin's magic, followed by Merlin revealing his secret to the other Knights of the Round Table after a meeting with the druids where they refer to him as "Emrys".

Miraculous Ladybug

  • BURN THE WITCH:
    • One of Witch Hunter's powers is a scroll with a magically up-to-date list of all of Lila Rossi's misdeeds. Reading off of it helps her whip up listeners into an angry mob intent on hunting the girl down.
    • Witch Hunter was herself created through one of these, when Rose learned the hard way that Lila never met Prince Ali, and that everything she donated to her supposed 'charity' was just going straight into her False Friend's pockets.
  • Leave for Mendeleiev: Chat Noir lies to Ladybug about how Copycat was created, claiming that Theo was upset about her not showing up to the statue unveiling (something she wasn't even aware was happening). Ladybug learns the truth when Nadja brings Theo on as a surprise guest on their Face to Face interview and he admits that he was akumatized after hearing from Chat that the two of them were dating, leaving her less than thrilled with her partner.
  • In A Small but Stubborn Fire, when Rolland makes a comment how Marinette and Ladybug are a lot alike while watching an akuma attack on the news, Sabine begins to connect the dots with Marinette’s recent behavior. When she goes to Marinette’s room to find her not there, Marinette's dairy out right confirming the new revelation and witnessing Ladybug de-transforming into Marinette does Sabine find out who her daughter is. She does not take it well.

MonsterVerse

  • Abraxas (Hrodvitnon):
    • Dr. Vivienne Graham, being held captive in a remote location since her canon death and her subsequent rebirth, doesn't find out about her mentor Serizawa's death while healing Godzilla until in Chapter 4.
    • Dr. Houston Brooks, the Chen sisters, and Madison and Mark Russell (in that order) learn the truth about Vivienne's fate in Chapters 7 and 8 after Monarch analyzes the Vivienne-San fusion's DNA and are directed to further records which prove the truth.

My Hero Academia

  • #14: Iida, Todoroki, Uraraka and Kirishima learn about Katsuki's role in Izuku's suicide when he goes berserk and starts screaming at Stain.

My Little Pony

  • Everfree Infection AU: In "Nettles", Fluttershy realizes she used branches from infected insects to treat a mouse instead of nettles right before the Everfree infection started. This information was revealed to the audience back in "Little Mouse", the first of the Everfree Infection Tails.
  • Night of the Shy: Nightmare possesses Fluttershy in Chapter 2, but the other characters don't find out about it until Chapter 4 (except Zecora, who witnesses it, and spends the next two chapters on the run).

Naruto

  • A Growing Affection has a few of them.
    • Hinata's Anguished Declaration of Love in the first chapter.
    • Sakura admits to herself and Lee that she has feelings for Naruto.
    • Sakura tells Naruto she has feelings for him.
    • The reveal of Naruto's father, though this was not previously revealed in the story and counts on the reader knowing it from canon.
    • The reveal that Tobi is Madara. But unlike canon, in this fanfic, it is actually true.

NieR

  • Tower of Babel: The fic treats canon's many plot twists as something the readers already know (the very first chapter is from Shadowlord’s point of view), while it takes a while for the characters to catch up. Several different chapters are devoted to one revelation or another.

The Owl House

  • Thanks To Her: Played for Drama. Vee confesses her true nature at Chapter 4, and is crying by doing so, thinking Masha is going to hate her, only for Masha to assure her she holds no ill will.

Persona

  • Throw Away Your Mask: Akechi reveals his murders, death, and subsequent time-travel to Shinjiro and Ken during the October full moon, and inadvertently to the rest of SEES the next day. Much later, he explains the same set of events to the Investigation Team after his TV World dungeon leaves them with a lot of unanswered questions.

Pokémon

  • PokĂ©mon Reset Bloodlines: Ash gets a pretty big one in Chapter 34. Throughout the main story and several sidestories, Ash's father had been built up as a sociopathic career criminal who sired hundreds, perhaps thousands, of bastard children, and when she confronts Sabrina, she tells him everything she knows in order to push Ash's buttons and force him to use his full power against her. Of course, she leaves out the most important detail: namely, that he's the Bloodline King.

RWBY

  • Coeur Al'Aran:
    • The Beast of Beacon: In Chapter 13, Ruby's attempts to find out where Adam's antagonism towards Weiss comes from leads the latter to show her his SDC brand, horrifying her.
    • From Beyond: It isn't until Chapter 61 that Jaune learns from Pyrrha talking to the teddy bear that his soul's anchored to about how Pyrrha's spear-throw (which Jaune dodged in this timeline, resulting in his current ghostly state) was her attempting to save him and gain him as a partner in initiation.
    • Not this time, Fate:
      • Yang and Blake both spend most of the fic initially keeping the circumstances of their respective first meetings with Jaune to themselves, until they start trying to dissect Jaune's eccentric behavior and they come clean to each-other.
      • After Weiss becomes the new half-Fall Maiden, she learns the truth about Jaune's Groundhog Peggy Sue backstory. Jaune's every attempt in previous loops to explain his curse to anyone was never believed, not even by those who trusted him, but Weiss is able to verify it's true because Jaune knows details from Amber's memories (which Weiss has absorbed with Amber's Maiden power) that he has no other way of knowing about.
    • Null: During Jaune's merciless rampage against Team RWBY; Ruby, Weiss and Yang learn the truth about Blake's past as a Faunus and White Fang deserter, and that the reason she's been so terrified of Jaune's presence in Vale is because she abandoned him to the wolves. After Jaune hospitalizes all of Blake's teammates, Blake tells Weiss and Yang, and Qrow tells Ruby, the truth about Jaune's motivations and how he became a desperately-ruthless fugitive on the run.
    • A Rabbit Among Wolves:
      • At the Vytal fashion show, Jaune tells Coco the truth about how he, the esteemed and feared new leader of the White Fang, was just a huntsman-wannabe who doesn't want to hurt people and never meant to become the leader of a terrorist organization.
      • Jaune later tells his full story to Roman Torchwick as well, and Roman finds the sheer absurdity of it all about as hilarious as the readers.
    • Relic of the Future:
      • In Chapter 50, Raven finds out the full truth about Jaune's origins, motivations and enigmatic prescience — as well as her daughter's death and her other timeline self's inaction in the Bad Future — when Jinn uploads Jaune's life story thus far into her brain. The revelation leaves Raven shaken to her core, and she spends the next few chapters teetering on the verge of a total breakdown.
      • In Chapter 94, Emerald and Young Jaune (Jaune's alternate self in the past) learn quite brutally the truth about how Raven is indeed Yang's biological mother who abandoned her as soon as she was born.
    • White Sheep:
      • Most of Jaune's teammates and their sister team learn during the attack on Beacon that Jaune is and always was the humanoid Grimm "Hentacle" that's been "terrorizing" them and Vale the whole time, when they see him transform (Ruby already suspected the truth for a while but kept it to herself in the hopes Jaune would prove to be good). Jaune explains the whole truth of who and what he is and about his mother Salem to those of his friends who saw him the day after the attack. Weiss and Yang learn the truth about Jaune separately, from Emerald and Yin respectively.
      • In Chapter 88, Jaune reveals his and his family's existence to the whole of Remnant on international TV, along with the fact that Atlas has recently kidnapped his "bride" Yang and their "offspring" Yin. Hundreds of miles away, Taiyang in a bar on Patch faints from shock after the broadcast.

    • Chapter 19 sees Noah finally confirming that Riku is originally a native of the pre-Aionios worlds, from a combination of the revelation that they've been sent to the past and Riku's reactions to their circumstances.

Unsorted

  • In Racer and the Geek, Sunny is Telny, but his love interest doesn't know that, and he is terrified by the prospect of her finding out the truth.
  • Played straight but also played with in With Strings Attached. The reader knows early on why the four are on C'hou—they've been sent by alien undergraduates as subjects in a psychology experiment—but the four don't find out who sent them until halfway through the book, at which point they intermittently interact with the "Fans," as the four dub them. However, the Fans lie to them as to why they're there, and the four never do find out the truth.
  • The Twilight Child:
    • A running situation throughout the story is the main character's inability to reveal who she is to the rest of the cast. Most of them don't find out until the latter third of the story.
    • Twilight Sparkle's parents realize very quickly after meeting the character. It helps that they recognize she's their granddaughter.
    • Spike learns the day after his birthday when the main character outright tells him.
    • And the Cutie Mark Crusaders (but mostly Scootaloo) learn when she confesses the truth to a disbelieving Rainbow Dash. Scootaloo is the one who realizes she's telling the truth.
  • Luso reveals the fact that he was from another world to his clanmates after the events of the Mistwalker arc in The Tainted Grimoire.
  • The Pieces Lie Where They Fell:
    • In the sequel Picking Up the Pieces, during her meeting with Night's older brother Crooked Blade, Xvital inadvertently tells him about Night's relationship with Page, which they'd previously kept a secret from the rest of the Blade family for thirteen years. Night Blade himself inadvertently reveals it to his parents the next time they meet; fortunately, neither he nor Page is upset when he and Xvital admit their little slip-ups to the group soon after.
    • It happens again in Chapter 13, when Wind Breaker inadvertently reveals it to Night's nephew Striking Blade while Striking is getting his Hatchery file, though this time he doesn't give Page's name. Night just shakes it off when Wind Breaker confesses to him afterward, saying that since his parents and oldest brother already knew, it was only a matter of time before his whole family found out. Eventually, by the end of chapter 20, the entire family does know.
    • In Chapter 3, Wind Breaker admits to Page about his previous meeting with Diamond Back and the other griffon's love confession. Diamond Back himself reappears in Chapter 13 and inadvertently reveals the same thing to Night Blade, resulting in some lighthearted but non-malicious teasing (aimed at Wind Breaker) from him.
    • Chapter 26 features many of these, as the new Bearers explain about their adventures and what they learned to the six Captains, including Violet Lulamoon canonically learning about her being descended from Trixie. It also confirms Page's identity as the Changeling Queen and Shining Armor's descendant to the four Captains who hadn't been let in on the secret yet.
    • Chapter 29 reveals, via Discord, what the final chapter (pre-epilogue) of the first story did: that Balance had committed all sorts of terrible acts in order to ensure that the Six would become its new Bearers (such as delaying Night's birth), including what they each would have done with their lives if not for its meddling. The Six are quite stunned by this.
  • All throughout The Rigel Black Chronicles, Harry narrowly dodges revealing who "Rigel Black" really is. At the end of fourth year, though, people find out that "Rigel" is a half-blood, so her time at Hogwarts is up.
  • "Faith Wayne" focuses on the revelation that Faith (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) is the daughter of Bruce Wayne (Batman) after he had a one-night stand with her mother years ago. After Batman meets Xander and Faith on patrol, he visits them at the school they run as a cover for training Slayers to give Bruce Wayne a reason to meet Faith and reveal their relationship, but Faith only learns that Bruce is Batman after she is attacked by Bane, who refers to Batman as 'Bruce' right in front of her.
  • Not directly shown, but in Did I Make the Most of Loving You?, when Roslin tells Billy Keikeya- the only time-traveller unaware of the identities of all twelve Cylons- the identities of the Final Five, the other party apparently spent ten minutes in stunned silence before being able to squeak out a response.
  • Neither a Bird nor a Plane, it's Deku!: Pretty much anyone who has picked up an American comic book in the past 50+ years would know that Izuku is Kryptonian. But since his adoptive parents had to run away with him for dear life to avoid getting caught by the authorities, they only managed to grab the lid of his spaceship rather than the whole thing, leaving him in the dark about his origins even after learning that he is an alien. This leads to his Quest for Identity: hunt down his spaceship to figure out who and what he is to finally obtain some closure. He gets his wish and then some when it turns out that K.E.L.E.X. stored a Virtual Ghost of Izuku's biological father, Jor-El.

    • Mastermind: Strategist for Hire:

      • In chapter 26 and 27, Endeavor, Class 1-A and all of Japan learns of Dabi being Toya and of a Face-Heel Turned Shouto.
    • Mastermind: Rise of Anarchy:
      • Mastermind's Quirklessness is made public at a press conference held by Tsukauchi, Nedzu and Tsuragamae after his capture, whereas the reader would have known of that since the beginning.
      • "Rematch" features Ochako and Tsuyu putting together the pieces and realizing that Katsuki is the vigilante King.
      • "Predator" has Tsuyu realizing just what Nedzu and Monoma are plotting.
      • "Corpse" has Ochako noticing that she looks like a corpse, comparing herself to All Might's weakened form, and realizing that if she keeps burning that candle at both ends, she's going to die.
    • Viridian: The Green Guide:
      • Shinso gives Eraserhead a clue that lets him know Bakugo knows Viridian.
      • Izuku tells Aizawa that he's Quirkless after they are captured by Giran. Which Aizawa then uses, along with the other information they have on Viridian, to connect Viridian with Izuku.
    • Cheat Code: Support Strategist: Hitoshi, Aizawa, and Present Mic all find out that Todoroki is streaming with Shigaraki in Chapter 68.
    • Shadows: The Horror Movie Heroes: Jirou first learns of One For All in Recovery Girl's office, waiting for All Might to recover from her pepper-spraying him.
  • In Chapter 5 of Team Rocket Roots, Ash and James learn that Miya is Jessie's Missing Mom. The audience has known this from the start.
  • In Scarlet Lady, Chloe becomes the titular Nominal Heroine after stealing the Ladybug Earrings from Marinette before she even learns of their existence. As a result of this, not even Master Fu knows just who Scarlet Lady is, and Plagg doesn't figure it out until he pops into her purse looking for camembert and finds Tikki inside.
  • Know Thyself:
    • The Oracle knew about the Wizarding World and Harry's place in it the whole time, not divulging in it until after Neo, Trinity and Morpheus confront her about it.
    • In Chapter 5, Harry reveals that he can teleport in the real world, convincing the Council to pool in the resources to research the Wizarding World further.
  • Ruby Stars: Seraphinite uses her powers to read Pearl's mind after noticing her hands automatically swoop up to cover her mouth, discovering that Rose Quartz, and by extension Steven, is Pink Diamond.
  • A Moon and World Apart: In chapter 21, Celestia admits some of the truth about the Elements of Harmony and who she believes to be their next wielders to Cadance.
  • It takes until Chapter 9 of Luz Belos: Princess of the Boiling Isles for Luz to admit to Amity that she's half-human, a fact that is outed to everyone else in school in Chapter 21.
  • Cinders and Ashes: the Chronicles of Kamen Rider Dante reveals early on that Hoshi had attempted suicide after his friend did the same. However, as the attempt was an experience only he and a random civilian know about, two later mentions are this trope, as both his friend and sister find out about this on separate occasions. This also carries over in a crossover made with another fanfic where the protagonist of that story is made aware of it too.
  • The Night Unfurls: Readers who have already played Bloodborne or studied its lore will surely know Kyril's whole journey in Yharnam before setting foot to Eostia. Certain characters, on the other hand, eventually catch a glimpse of his past and true character.
    • Chapter 5 has Celestine and Olga taking a peek at Kyril's journal. The journal shows several segments of Kyril's journey in Yharnam: a death by a mob, his first visit to the Hunter's Dream, the deaths of almost everyone he met, parts of his journey in the Hunter's Nightmare, and his final parting words before meeting Gehrman under the great tree.
    • Being an apprentice to Kyril means they get to learn something about him that the readers already know about, albeit not everything. By Chapter 5, Kyril had already told Sanakan and Hugh about how he became a hunter by signing a contract, referring to the opening cutscene of the game. He is seen reenacting the tradition to the two so they can officially serve him under his command. By Chapter 7, they had learnt about the horrible job of a hunter, the origin of the beast plague, and the implication that Kyril is not human, albeit his exact nature is still unknown to them.
    • Celestine and Olga would eventually learn about the existence of the Hunter's Dream, as well as Kyril's companionship with the Doll, in Chapter 7 and 12 respectively. At this moment, both decided it is in their best interests to not pry any further.
    • In Chapter 28, Kyril reveals to Claudia about what he did before coming to Eostia, namely, spending a horrible amount of time killing off mobs of insane villagers and nearly dying, while seeing many people torn apart by beasts and other horrible things... which is exactly what the game is all about.
    • Starting from Chapter 32, the fact that Kyril experienced his first death meant that Celestine, Olga, and the assassin responsible knew about his Resurrective Immortality.
    • Chapter 33 has Kyril showing Celestine and Olga more segments of the Night of the Hunt: his battle against a Cleric Beast, the opening cutscene of the game, his first death, his journey through the Forbidden Woods and Byrgenwerth, the descent of the pale moon, and lastly, the Workshop burning.
  • The Mountain and the Wolf:
    • The Wolf casually reveals he killed Ramsay sometime after King's Landing has been taken.
    • Tyrion suspected the Wolf had something to do with Euron betraying Cersei, having found Euron's helmet onboard the Wolf's ship, but was convinced otherwise. After the Wolf is beaten by Drogon and flees, Tyrion starts reexamining everything they knew about him, coming to the conclusion that the Euron they saw was one of the Wolf's men dressed as Euron, Euron is likely dead and the Iron Fleet works for the Wolf. All of which is correct.
    • Harry Strickland waking up from his coma around the same time as Sandor Clegane lets the heroes realize the Wolf can teleport almost anywhere he wants.
  • With how widespread and unavoidable the mutations become in Sacrifice (Ravenshell), the Hamato Clan out themselves to New York, Donatello explaining to New York via Channel 6 how to avoid Dimension X's hazards and informing the populace that a retromutagen does in-fact exist.

    • In chapter 23, Margo, Liam, Rusty, Ronnie Anne and Zach learn about Lincoln’s syngenesophobia.
    • In chapter 24, Ronnie Anne learns the whole story behind the Sister Fight Protocol and the situation that lead to Lincoln's current condition.

  • Total Drama Legacy: From the very beginning, the reader knows that Tina and Lydia are the same person. However, this fact isn't uncovered in-universe until the chapter "A Shocking Twist", when Lydia's wig is knocked off, revealing her true identity as Tina.
  • Piece of a Diamond: After their first encounter with Peridot, Rose confesses to Greg that she is Pink Diamond, something only Pearl knew about until then.
