• A couple in Abby Howard's introduction video (both of which are quoted in the first episode):
  Abby: I'm nervous that in the first competition I'm just going to blow it. And then everyone is going to think I'm an idiot. On the entire Internet. I don't want the Internet to think I'm an idiot.
  Abby: I'm worried I might have to work in a group. I really hate working in groups, especially on creative projects, because there's just ... too many people who are creative and think that their idea is the best when, in fact, it is my idea that is the best.
• Any of the eliminations include Mike and Jerry's quite humorous distractions.
• A simple 2 word statement from Erika, used in the trailer and finally explained in episode six: "Butt virginity"
• From Elim #2:
  Jerry: Ty [Halley]: in five words or less, how did you come to be with us here tonight?
  [Beat]
  [The artist begins counting words on his fingers]
  [cut to Mike and Jerry, looking inquisitive]
  [cut back to the artist, giving up on his first attempt and counting words again for a second]
  Jerry: You know, we got shit to do.
  [general laughter]
  Mike: You know, as many words as you need!
• Mike: "Katie. Really. What is it about you that people hate so goddamn much?" after Katie was up for elimination twice. In sequence.
• During the Q&A at the PAX East 2013 Strip Search Panel, Mike mentions someone coming up to him in the expo hall while things were being set up and saying "Hey, you're one of the judges on Strip Search!"^note As opposed to, say, one of the two creators of the webcomic for which PAX is named.
• From Elimination #5: "Jerry's drinking my comic."
• Monica in Episode 18: "Then I realized, wait a minute, Robert's^* Robert Khoo, Penny Arcade's business manager being a troll. So I drew a lovely dick on his abs."
• Erika in Episode 19: "We're bros. These are our wieners touching."
• Also, Abby in episode 19. Her banter with Mike and Jerry had them both laughing hysterically.
  • Especially funny was this exchange:
    Mike: Do you think Erika deserves to go home tonight?
    Abby: No.
    Mike: So you should go home?
    Abby: No.
    Mike: Why don't you just quit now, then?
    Abby: Why don't you just... go suck a dick?
  • ...and the followup when they finished laughing:
    Jerry: Let's put a stunned reaction on the camera so they can put it there.
• The Ambassador of Sass in Episode 22? Monica. Full stop.
  Mike: Monica, do you feel like you pissed away the first 30 minutes of this competition?
  Monica: Get fucked. No!
  • Also, Monica's response to Mike continually asking her why she wants to be a cartoonist:
    "Because I wanna fuck your mom!"
• Elimination #8:
  Mike: Why did you wanna be a cartoonist?
  Abby: So that I can get all of the men. Men love cartoonists. That's the only reason I got into it.
  Mike: For the... for the men?
  Abby: For the "D"... And cats. I want more cats, and all the "D" I can get.
  Jerry: (after he and Mike stopped laughing) Crank it up! Crank up the "C", crank up the "D".
• Also, Abby's Elimination #8 comic. Seriously, Mike was still laughing at it after he swapped with Jerry to read Tavis's. It's not that Tavis did a bad job — he turned out a good, funny strip, and the judges said so — but Abby knocked it out of the park.
  Jerry: Oh, jeez, but ... we're supposed — this part right here is supposed to have a lot of back-and-forth...
  Mike: No, it doesn't.
  • In the next elimination round, Mike and Jerry flat-out told Lexxy and Maki that Abby had drawn one of the funniest comics they had ever seen.
• Episode #28/Elimination #9
  Mike: Lexxy Is there someone who loves you?
  Lexxy: Yes... He says he loves me.
  Maki: SPOILERS! IT MEANS NOTHING!!
• In Episode #29, Abby's reaction after it is revealed that the final challenge is "spend two months creating a comic pitch".
  Abby: We still have two fucking months! Two more months until we know who wins this goddamn competition! God dammit!
• In Finale Part 1, Maki muses about what would happen if he died before reaching the final episode.
  Maki: Would I just win? Would they make me win, posthumously?
  Mike: No. No, it would have narrowed our field down considerably.
  Maki: So it would have been a favor for these two.
  Mike: We would have brought Lexxy back.
• Also in Finale Part 1, when Mike and Jerry ask the obvious followup question about Abby's comment in Elimination #8.
  Abby: I don't remember this!
  Mike: You seriously don't remember saying you wanted all the cats and all the "D"?
  Jerry: It's one of the funniest things I have ever heard!
  Mike: Erika still says it!
  Jerry: No, that has ... that has currency in our office! That is a ... that's a saying, now!
• In Finale Part 2, Mike offers Jerry five dollars for sticking his face into a chocolate cake. Jerry happily obliges, noting it would've happened anyway. (And then it turns out Mike doesn't even have the five dollars.)
