Introduction!
  • Peter interrupting the guard to geek out over the tech.
  • Trying to get into the locked-up bathroom after he was bit, Peter rips the door clean off its hinges!

Observation!

  • Peter's hypertension gets to the point where he tears a paper towel holder clean off the wall, and later ends up having to take all his clothes off.
  • While trying to figure out what is happening to him, Peter starts walking around in the bathroom, thinking about it... then screams in terror when he realizes he ended up walking on the ceiling without noticing.
  • Peter talking to himself around the statues of famous scientists, and pretending they're agreeing with him.

Hypothesis!

  • The multiple times Peter's web-shooters back up and covered him in his own webbing.
  • Peter desperately trying to catch this damn fly, only for it to keep avoiding him, then sit on his nose as if to taunt him.
  • Peter's first disguise: a small domino mask made of webbing. Yeah, that's going to keep you anonymous.
    • Seconds after this, he manages to swing around town with ease... then he smashes headfirst into a brick wall.

Prediction!

  • The Russian fortune-telling woman who ends up giving Peter the idea to make it big, and then charges him 10 bucks for it.
  • Peter finding his claim to fame.
I'm sure when I see it, it'll hit me! *ignores entire wall of wrestling posters* Well, I'm out of ideas. *walks away, then rushes back to look at the wall*
  • Peter tries on a few outfits before deciding on his Homecoming-style garb. The first is a Iron Man-colored cardboard box ("Too Halloween-y."), the second is him wearing his underwear on the outside and a cape ("Too obvious."), and the last is Ben Reilly's outfit ("Too much!").
    • His last outfit has him wearing Aunt May's tights! Err, her "sweatpants."

Experimentation!

Series

Horizon High
  • If you listen closely while the audience at Midtown applauds Harry when he comes up to speak, you can hear Peter chanting "Harry! Harry!". Also doubles as a Heartwarming Moment, showcasing their friendship and support for one another.
  • Alister Smythe tries to be a brat towards Max Modell, but that seems to end badly for him, shooting a spitwad at who he thinks is the real Max but actually ends up being a hologram.
    • Later he tries to suck up to Max anyway and claims he solved Max's equation, but Max replies that his solution looks "more like a Rorschach test than an answer" after his solution gets the unfortunate end of Peter creating indoor storm clouds.
  • This exchange while Spidey is taking Max back to Midtown in a web-parachute:
Max: You sure you know how to fly this thing?
    Spider-Man: Nope!
  • The Running Gag of the terrible smell of Spider-Man's original costume. Even Scorpion remarks on it.
Spider-Man: Okay, fine! I'll clean it tonight!
  • Miles and Anya wondering if they know who Spider-Man is based on his voice, but Spidey tries to misdirect them by speaking in the Batman growl and in Spanish, respectively.

Osborn Academy

  • Spidey slows down a falling helicopter with webbing using clock hands as a pulley, observing that the ancient Greeks codified the use of simple machines. When the front end of the helicopter breaks off, though...
  • Anya is one of the students auditioning for Osborn Academy, even though she's already a student at Horizon.
    "What? I'm covering my bases!"
  • A bit of dark humor as Harry searches for Peter:
"Pete! How does a guy fall out of a window and disappear?"
  • Spidey goes full marshmallow-webbing for shock absorption.
"He leaps! He rolls! He waddles!"

A Day in the Life

  • The conversation between Peter and Otto Octavius when Peter says he's gonna love his project.
Otto: Ugh! Love is for starry-eyed dreamers, Mr. Parker. It has nothing to do with science! You remember that.
Peter: Right! Love is for dreamy-eyed starfish. Got it!
    Otto: Hmm!
  • Black Cat is the living embodiment of The Gadfly, enjoying watching Spidey squirm under her bad luck powers.
  • When Spider-Man finally apprehends Black Cat, he starts doing a Happy Dance in the middle of the street. When the cops arrive, he comments that it must have been weird walking in on him like that. He then spends the entire sequence making Narm-tastic cat puns, much to the police officer's annoyance.

Party Animals

Stark Expo

  • Peter fanboying over Iron Man even as the superhero is trying to apprehend him.
  • Flash Thompson's baking soda volcano, which he wins the expo with. He's so proud of it.
  • And the end:
    Peter: To... Paul?! It's Peter!

Ultimate Spider-Man

Kraven's Amazing Hunt

  • Peter points out to his "apprentice" that he's only been Spider-Man for three months, and isn't exactly a veteran. Miles assures Peter he's a great teacher...then adds that he needs a teacher with his powers, so Peter is his only option.
    Peter: I'm...flattered.
  • Everything about Large Ham reality show host Kraven in general.

Halloween Moon

  • Gwen Stacy is not intimidated by the Hulk in any way, shape, or form, and even manages to snark at him!
  • Gwen using a powerful water gun and yelling "Eat this!", followed immediately by her correcting herself and saying "Technically, it should be 'Drink this!'"

Rise of the Doc Ock

  • Otto's attempts at quipping along Peter and Miles.
  • While examining the Lizard cells along with Otto and Peter, Miles starts spilling out typical Techno Babble on what he is seeing... until Peter reminds him they are supposed to be Obfuscating Stupidity so Otto won't figure out who they are.
Miles: Uuuuh... I mean LOOK AT THE SQUIGGLY THINGS!
  • The Oscorp receptionist activates the security system trapping Peter, Miles, and Otto in with a bunch of laser turrets. Then the receptionist just casually checks his phone and drinks coffee with this utterly bored look on his face while the viewer hears the three fighting for their lives as though this kind of thing happens every other day.
  • When Peter is invited to visit Oscorp Academy for a day, Otto starts yelling at him for being late... only to remember Peter isn't one of his students anymore.

Spider-Island

  • Upon first sight of Arnim Zola, Spider-Man refers to him as a robot with a TV on its chest.
  • After Harry is tossed out of a window, Gwen dives after him, then realizes that she hadn't thought it through.
  • Anya's How Do I Shot Web? moments during the fight with Hydra.
  • Black Widow obtains Spider-Powers. Spidey attempts to instruct her in their use, but it turns out that Widow is a fast learner.
    • Adding to this, Anya, Gwen, and Pete's respective reactions to how quickly Widow takes to Spider powers. The latter just stands there dumbfounded, while the latter two look like Macauley Culkin in Home Alone. Observe.

How I Thwipped My Summer Vacation

  • Hammerhead telling his goons to "Pop some sense into the Pop Star," after Ross Caliban didn't sing right away is as funny as it is threatening.
  • Spider-Man being attacked by Hammerhead's somewhat skilled 8-year-old son whom he describes as a "Crazy Monkey Ninja Boy."

Venom Returns

  • When visiting Brock's apartment, Peter notices photos of him as Spider-Man, and immediately comments that for once, he actually agrees with Jameson: Eddie's photos do suck.
  • Venom explains to Spider-Man he kidnapped all the people close to him so he could pull a Revenge by Proxy. Spidey immediately points out he isn't actually friendly with Jonah Jameson- and Venom admits that he kidnapped this one just because he hates his guts.

Bring on the Bad Guys

  • In general, the subplot about Hippo and Panda-Mania; two newcomers supervillains who arrive in New York to be hired as mercenaries by a mysterious benefactor, Panda-Mania decides to rob a few banks on the way, despite Hippo being much more interested in visiting the Wax Museum. On their way, they end up clashing with Spider-Man, who chases us through the city and just won't let them get away, to the point they end up terrified of him. When they finally reach their hirer, only to learn he wants them to go after Spider-Man, they immediately decide to abandon the job and go to the Wax Museum as Hippo wanted.
  • Part 2 has a reference to the DBZ fusion dance of all things.
    • A Funny Background Event, Spidey beat Mysterio's panther by webbing it up onto a literal web ball. Walking on, one of the kittens from before the fight started starts batting the poor panther in his ball around and off-screen like it's a ball of yarn which is simultaneously hilarious and absolutely adorable.
  • The entirety of the fight with Jack'O Lantern, with Spider-Man getting more and more annoyed by his insane obsession with Halloween.
    • When Jack'O Lantern asks Spidey "Trick or treat" for the second time, Spider-Man complains that there is no point since he always gives tricks anyway. Jack promises it'll be a treat this time... and then proceeds to shoot him with a gun that fires candies.
    • The first half of this fight is even funnier because it opens with Spider-Man in his underwear, fighting Jack O'Lantern halfway across town and saving a busload of people in nothing but boxer shorts, mask, and gloves, and it makes the people he saves uncomfortable. It isn't until the end of the bus crash that we even find out why Spidey's in his undies: Jack O'Lantern got him with an itching powder bomb!
  • Chameleon disguises himself as Jonah Jameson, resulting in Spider-Man being faced with his worst nightmare: two Jonah Jameson. Snapping, Spider-Man punches one of them, who turns out to be Chameleon. Impressed, the cameraman asks how he figured out so fast which one was the impostor. The answer? He didn't.

Brain Drain

  • After being freed from his cell by Doctor Octopus, Beetle recovers his equipment and gleefully finds a bazooka, which he immediately tries to use against Spider-Man. Turns out its Jack'O Lantern's candy gun, which baffles him.

Amazing Friends

  • Toddler Groot provides much of the comic relief in this episode.
    • Groot gets hold of Peter's web shooter, leading him to shoot Peter in the face and escaping.
    • At one point, Groot is riding a squirrel like a horse.
    • Baby Groot's love for Ice Cream Sandwichs, though it does get him into serious trouble.
      • But it does end up turning into a Spanner in the Works since Baron Mordo's Wood Golems not only inherited Groot's life force but also his love for Ice Cream, which ends up distracting them.
    • While captured by A.I.M, Groot passes the time playing Tic-Tac-Toe by himself. One of the minions actually suggests his game, in which the Scientist Supreme tells him to stop fraternizing with the prisoner.
  • When Peter asks Miles for help in translating Groot's language, Miles says he can't since he has a date, only to admit he's kidding and then sadly lament he doesn't have much going on in his life.
  • The fact that A.I.M's island base has vending machines in the main lab. Which, again, leads to a Spanner in the Works.
  • When some of A.I.M's Mooks are going up the stairs, one of them clearing is low on energy from the stair-climb, then casually states he got all of his walking steps in for today.
  • During the fight against A.I.M, the Scientist Supreme tries to electrocute Amadeus Cho, but since Cho is in his Hulk form, the electricity is not only a No-Sell but he then casually takes off the wires and uses them to easily electrocute the Scientist Supreme herself.

Spider-Man Unmasked

  • When Peter unmasks himself at Max's hearing, Gwen and Anya react surprisedly, as expected. However, when they see Miles isn't, they give him a look that says "He knew, didn't he?" And then he's like "Wow, who knew?" in a really fake way.
