Funny / Fire Emblem Heroes: A Day in the Life

Go To

  • Cordelia wants to summon Chrom, with Felicia trying to help. Emphasis on trying, as Felicia thought the stones signify hair color, so she pulls from blues. For the record, Chrom's a red unit.
  • "Feh's Design Change" has Narcian try his hand at upgrading the castle. Disgruntled that only the castle is being spruced up, he decks out Feh in a silly headdress, to her and Anna's chagrin.
  • Draug makes use of Tana's Guidance and Amelia's Armor March. Too bad his stomach wasn't able to handle it.
  • Lucina arrives in Askr in her "Marth" disguise and resolves never to take off her mask. Three seconds later, she meets the real Marth, freaks out, unmasks herself, and asks him for an autograph.
  • Faye is summoned. She, naturally, asks where Alm is. The Summoner sadly replies that he hasn't shown up yet. Faye then gets quietly angry and manages to somehow un-summon herself and leave, much to Gray, Tobin, and the Summoner's dismay.
  • How do Shanna and Clair defend themselves from Setsuna, a bow user? Make paper-maché "!" symbols to cover the check marks to deceive Setsuna, making her think she's weak to them instead of vice versa. Of course, she falls for it.
  • Leon catches word of Kamui being summoned, and he's stoked to see one of his comrades again. He didn't realize that they meant Corrin, who in Japan was also named Kamui, but that didn't faze him. Leon then assumes that summoning makes the heroes prettier, and expects the same thing for Valbar.
  • One strip has Faye telling Alm that if she goes out into battle, all of her allies might end up getting shot by arrows, which wouldn't be funny...were Celica not on the same team as her.
  • The Summoner getting frustrated with just how many mechanics from Fire Emblem were cut out for Heroes, to the point of throwing the Breidablik.
  • Takumi and Leo talk about their retainers. Takumi mentions how unparalleled Oboro is when it comes to textiles. Leo mentions how Odin excels at...being skill inheritance fodder.
  • The heroes confront Bruno, with Hawkeye in tow. Hawkeye remarks how Bruno doesn't look like much. Bruno's response? He rips his shirt off to show how muscular he is and challenges Hawkeye to a fist fight. Meanwhile, Anna whips out the snapshot tome as Alfonse questions what he's seeing.
  • The Summoner muses on his/her and Alfonse's bond, and wonders if they can make it even stronger. Not very funny by itself, but the way they word it...
  • Fjorm finds herself amazed how all of the heroes in Askr are so nice... and then she meets the Grimas, who can apparently hide their true nature as easily as closing their eyes. What makes this more funny is that while her life has been full of suffering thanks to Surtr, she can't even take a break here with the Grimas around.
  • Chapter 41 revolves around the tacticians from the series collaborating. Kiran comes in to suggest putting some units in a location with great scenery, and Soren promptly tells him off.
  • In Chapter 42, Performing Arts Azura is getting bored of singing "Lost in Thoughts" all the time, so she decides to mix it up by singing a rock version of it, with Hardin on drums, Reinhardt on electric guitar, and Azura using her axe like a stand-up mic, with the latter two also wearing sunglasses.
  • In Chapter 44, there's such a long line for people wanting to hug Feh that other soft and cuddly things are available to hug, like a pegasus, Fae's dragon form, and Oliver.
  • In Chapter 50, Palla is teaching the illiterate Nino to read a book. Normally this would just be filed under Heartwarming Moments, had the book in question not been Kiran's diary.
  • Chapter 51 confirms that units turned in for Combat Manuals pen their own manuals. Minerva picks up Narcian's manual hoping to learn Lancebreaker. Unsurprisingly, Narcian's manual is pages upon pages of self-praise. Minerva isn't impressed.
    Minerva: Maria, burn it.
  • In Chapter 55, Male Robin is greeted by Chrom's Spring variant. Robin reacts with shock as he states his other half has been taken over by the Spring cheer. Male Corrin suddenly shows up stating his sympathy towards Robin, as he remembers Xander's Spring and Nohrian Summer variants.
  • Chapter 57: Grima (female) sees fellow dragons Nowi and Myrrh sent packing during a Grand Conquest run and predictably chews them out before vowing to show them how it's done. As soon as she enters the battlefield, she sees the problem - the fortress has been surrounded on all sides by Falchions, aided by two ranged dragon-killers for good measure. Grima's reaction is priceless.
  • Chapter 59: Leif's about to go onto the battlefield when Ethlyn heals him and Quan uses an assist skill on him. Leif argues that he doesn't need this help from his parents, but they say that he needs it, considering he's going by himself. In the next panel, you can see Ethlyn cheering for Leif and Quan muttering that he grew up so fast, with Kiran comparing it to when a child is about to go on their first day of school.
  • Chapter 61 reveals Surtr's greatest weakness: candy in the face.
  • In Chapter 65, Kiran seems to show more concern over Fjorm having a coughing fit than over Owain trying to control his sword-hand, Fallen Celica going on a rant to kill everything and Arthur getting struck down by a meteor.
  • Chapter 70: Shigure was implied to be recently summoned, so his mother Azura shows him around. They meet Brave Lyn and greet her. Next panel reveals Azura's young Adrift variant snuggling the fur Lyn was wearing, to the adult version's embarassment.
  • According to Eir in Chapter 72, Hel is lightning fast, which may explain why it is impossible to outrun death. Eir even nonchalantly tells Alfonse and Kiran that Hel's 100 meter dash record is of 9 seconds and that some of the people in the army of the dead refer to her as "Hel on wheels". Suddenly, Hel shows up on the window announcing that she broke her own record now at 7 seconds.
  • Hel receives a cursed chain letter from Tharja in Chapter 73 while she was putting her death curse on Alfonse.
  • Chapter 86 has Eir pondering talking to her mother, but finds her deep in thought, possibly planning her next attack. The reality? She's thinking of getting a throne that's fluffier than the one she currently has made of skulls, which is hurting her butt but she'd rather not get rid of for the sake of her image.
  • Chapter 100, the first chapter with an official translation, has Seliph and Leif being inspired by their cavalry fathers. There are no spare horses, so they make do with the Cat Laguz Ranulf and Lethe, who are both considered cavalry heroes. Hilarity Ensues.
  • Tibarn bumps Elincia with his wings. After he explains that bird laguz don't fare well in the darkness, Elincia offers him a guiding hand. Cue Reyson and Leanne fumbling in the dark behind them.
Elincia: It seems that two hands just aren't enough.
  • A chapter focusing on duo heroes has Ephraim try some poses with Lyon, to the latter's dismay. First Lyon is carried in Ephraim's arms, then he's given a piggyback ride, and, while Hector tells off Ephraim, he's in the flying pose à la Titanic.
  • "Who Needs Iote's Shield?" has Petra counter an archer by using a mechanic from her home game: dismounting. The Summoner freaks out as it's outside the rules of Heroes. Lilith and Yune overhear, and as they're floaters, they simply land on the ground, addling the Summoner even more.
  • "The Summoner's Strength" sees Plumeria try to give the Summoner an Erotic Dream, with the Summoner being more concerned that it's still daytime. A few seconds later however, it's brushed off with a smile, as they telling Alfonse they've had worse, much to Plumeria's dismay. Becomes even more hilarious when you remember that the Summoner comes from a world with the internet, leaving you to wonder what our dear Summoner found online to warrant their reaction, or lack thereof.
  • "The Absolute Strongest" sees that the Summoner is trying think of a strategy that uses Altina, Brave Micaiah, Mamori, and Nah against the enemy team, but is having so much trouble thinking of one that can creates synergy for the team that their mind temporarily breaks. The Summoner then decides to just use the overpowered Lance Fighter from Grandmaster 26 Tactics Drills to fight for them instead. Nah is not amused.
Nah: Come up with an actual strategy. Please.
  • "The Harvest" has Tharja and Midori tending to some plants. Tharja tries out a spell so the plants can fend off insects, and made the plants carnivorous as a result. Midori wasn't even fazed while Tharja showed disappointment. Meanwhile, the plant has grabbed Hinata, while everyone else panics.
  • The Summoner wins the gold throne from Aether Raids. In comes Marth who's instinctively trying to claim it like in his old game, only to realize nothing happening.
Marth: Oh? Ah! Sorry about that. Old habit of mine...
  • "Children of Darkness" has both Robins meeting both versions of Fallen Morgan thinking they're the perky normal versions of their children. These Morgans chastise them for this and reaffirm their support for Grima. The Robins' response? Give hugs and headpats all while thinking they're just going through an Emo Teen phase. Chrom is less than amused to say the least.
  • "One Possibility" has a costume contest being held, which the Summoner joins in on. On the day the contest is held, everyone dresses up in their various alts. The Summoner, however, oversleeps and rushes to get there on time, her hood flying off and revealing her face — a girl with purple hair. Nobody recognizes the Summoner without her hood, so she wins the contest without even wearing a costume.
  • "Nasty Rumors" posits the reason Veronica's crown has those odd red markings is because it's dried blood from attempting to stab Alfonse with her crown.
  • "Please Stop Using Me As Your Excuse" has Hinoka and Olivia attempt to pray to Elimine while making a strange hand gesture, to her confusion. Turns out, Saul spread a rumor that making a hand gesture in the shape of half a heart will make Elimine come over and complete it and grant their wishes. Elimine is... unimpressed, to say the least, and sparkles menacingly when approaching Saul.
Elimine: (still smiling sweetly) Saul. A word, please.
