The Naked Jedi by ErikModi is a NSFW series of LitRPG fanfics set in the Star Wars universe, using the Fantasy Flight Games Star Wars RPG system. It is inspired by Vow of Nudity, and chronicles the adventures of a similarly naked protagonist.

The series stars Sarza Zarazell, a female Zeltron. Marooned on a deserted planet at eight years old, Sarza finds a holocron belonging to the Master of an offshoot of the Jedi Order, and trains to become a Nue Jedi Knight.

The stories in the series are:

• "Escape From The Lost World": Detailing how Sarza came to be marooned on a deserted planet, learn the ways of the Force, and ultimately escape. Complete.
• "A Galaxy Exposed": Sarza learns about the state of the galaxy and the Jedi Order. Complete.
• "Return To The Lost World": Aayla and Sarza return to Master Haara's temple so Aayla can investigate Nue Jedi teachings. Complete.
• "Mystery of a Reclaimed Planet." Sarza and her new Padawan embark on their first mission for the Jedi Council. Complete.
• "Into the Underworld." Upcoming.

The Naked Jedi includes examples of the following tropes:

• Amazonian Beauty: Yuuzhan Vong are taller and more thickly built than humans, and since they no longer practice ritual scarification or mutilation, Meelan Lah is a rather attractive example of her people. Description often pays attention to Meelan's thick, rippling muscles.
• Ancestral Name: Averted with Aayla Secura, who Kael mentions to be unrelated to the Clone Wars-era Jedi Master of the same name.
• The Apprentice: "Return to the Lost World" ends with Meelan Lah of the Yuuzhan Vong requesting that Sarza become her Jedi Master as she seeks to learn the ways of the Nue Jedi.
• Becoming the Mask: Essentially how Sarza and her apprentice stop the monster on Honoghr; they reach out and convince the creature that it truly is the life-forms it's imitating, essentially forcing it into dormancy.
• Bilingual Bonus: Sarza’s offshoot of the Jedi Order call themselves the "Nue Jedi." "Nue" is French for "naked," and is pronounced similarly to "new," thus they are both "New" Jedi and "Nude" Jedi.
• Bling of War: Sarza’s only clothing, if it can be called that, is a silver band on her right thigh that secures her lightsaber; she describes it as a "bi-state memory metal with a molecular electric cling inner surface", the inner surface able to stick to her bare skin so it will remain in place while collapsing down like silk if it is removed, and powered by ambient energy so it never needs recharging. When Sarza builds her own lightsaber (having previously trained with Haara's old weapon), she uses a Hazian smelt conduit and adds corundum highlights, making her lightsaber hilt gold and purple.
• Canon Welding: Invoked; Yuuzhun Vong ships now include variations on the Leviathans of Farscape, complete with Pilots (although these Pilots are genetically engineered rather than more natural hybrids).
• Casual Kink: Basically comes up when circumstances require Sarza to have a sexual encounter with Yuuzhan Vong Lokrah Vipak, as Lokrah Vipak has a "fantasy" of dominating a Jedi that Sarza has to indulge to ensure the encounter can bring him pleasure.
• Coming in Hot: While Sarza is on her first official mission as a Jedi, an initially-unspecified event causes her ship to start to crash, but Sarza, Meelan Lah and Pilot are able to stabilise the descent before the crash would have proven fatal, and make a relatively even landing.
• Deliberate Values Dissonance: A relatively minor example of this comes up as Sarza is instructing Meelan Lah in the ways of the Nue Jedi. While the Yuuzhan Vong no longer seek to deliberately inflict pain on themselves as part of their religion, Meelan Lah is unused to the idea of sex for pleasure, even if she is willing to learn.
• Due to the Dead: Since the planet where Sarza trained is not named in the Jedi archives, she asks that it be named the Zarazell system in honor of her parents, with the planet being named "Tarizal" after her mother and its moon "Zoyed" for her father.
• The Empath: One of the racial features of the Zeltron, along with Living Aphrodisiac thanks to their potent Pheromones. It's noted that this is the reason for Zeltrons' reputation as hedonists: negative emotions are unpleasant for them to experience, positive emotions feel good, so they try and encourage positive emotions in the people around them to avoid discomfort.
• Ethical Slut: Sarza is quite forward about her desires, but makes it clear she isn't looking for any kind of commitment, and even if she was, it wouldn't necessarily be with the person she's with right now. She is absolutely willing to have some fun if she's in the mood and whoever is nearby is also in the mood and accepts her conditions. She pretty quickly gets into something of a "Friends with Benefits" arrangement with Kael Skywalker and Aayla Secura, and obviously instructs Meelan Lah in how to experience pleasure through sex after accepting her as a Padawan. Sixess could also be an example, as she and Kael have a thing but Sixess insisted on "no attachments." Sarza also only seeks positive sexual encounters rather than sex for the sake of sex, and is put off by darker kinds of attention that make her feel dirty and devalued in contrast to the more genuine appreciation from others, although she is basically open to roleplay in the right circumstances.
• Fanservice: Aside from the fact that Sarza, as a Nue Jedi, never wears clothes and has lots of sex, the final chapter of "Mystery of a Reclaimed Planet" has three NSFW pictures of Empress Leia Naberrie as a bonus at the end, just for those who want to see her in a very revealing dress or nothing at all.
• Flexibility Equals Sex Ability: Intimate relations are handled by an Agility-based Coordination check, the difficulty set by the partner's Presence-based Cool skill.
• Foreshadowing: Pay close attention to the precise words Kehzah Kwaad uses when discussing what's wrong with the Honoghr reclamation project.
• Friends with Benefits: Since the Nue Jedi place a key focus on sex, Sarza quickly forms this kind of dynamic with Kael and Aayla in particular; Kael is basically her first true sexual partner and Aayla spends some time learning the ways of the Nue Jedi, but both enter the dynamic aware that Sarza isn't looking for something long-term and each accept that.
• Full-Frontal Assault: Comes with the territory for Sarza as a Nue Jedi. In particular, when pirates attack Sarza and Aayla when on Tarizal, because Aayla is investigating Master Haara's teachings and living like a Nue Jedi, Sarza and Aayla end up fighting them off completely nude.
• Green-Skinned Space Babe:
  • Sarza is a Zeltron, a species whose skin tones tend to be shades of light red and pink.
  • Aayla Secura of the Jedi Council is a blue-skinned Twi'lek.
  • Sixess Larune is a Mirialan, so actually has green skin.
• Heroic Lineage: This fic is set almost a thousand years after the era of Luke Skywalker and the original trilogy; by this time, the current Grandmaster of the Jedi Order is Luke's descendant Sanda Skywalker, her son Kael is the Jedi who initially rescues Sarza from her planet, and another Council member is his distant cousin Linden Solo. Fellow Jedi Master Aayla Secura is speculated to be a distant relative of the "original" Aayla Secura, but so far back that it's not considered relevant. As well as this, the current Empress is Leia Nabierre of Naboo, suggesting some personal ties to Padme's family.
• Heroic Sacrifice: When Aayla discovers records suggesting that the original Nue Jedi were killed by a division of clone troopers, Meelan notes the significance of the Nue Jedi being caught on a transport ship rather than the planet itself. It is speculated that the Nue Jedi left the planet so that Master Haara's holocron would survive for the future.
• Innocently Insensitive: Briefly applies to Sarza when talking with her new apprentice, Meelan Lah of the Yuuzhan Vong; it is considered offensive among the Yuuzhan Vong not to refer to someone by their full name, but Meelan Lah forgives Sarza the initial mistake as she recognises that Sarza didn't know that would be offensive to her.
• Lawful Stupid: Basically defied concerning the Nue Jedi and their vow of nudity; while the Nue Jedi are forbidden to wear clothes, they are willing to bend the rule if the situation requires it, such as wearing environment suits if they have to go into deep space or environmentally hostile planets. On a more personal level, when Aayla strips down to spend some time living as a Nue Jedi, Haara notes that she can keep her headdress and Lekku bindings due to the significance of such attire in Twi'lek culture.
• LitRPG: Sarza determines success and failure based on dice rolls, just like a character in a regular RPG. The narrative dice system of the FFG Star Wars RPG sometimes yields unusual results, often beyond simple success or failure (see that page for more).
• Logical Weakness: When dealing with a creature that can imitate organic matter, Sarza uses Essex to conduct tests to confirm if any of their party are aspects of this creature, as the entity cannot imitate artificial objects such as droids so Essex is the only being on the planet that can't be a version of the creature.
• Loophole Abuse:
  • Word of God confirms that Sarza's droid Essex is basically there to be a cheat to the rules of the Nue Jedi, allowing Sarza to have some gear but still be naked.
  • Aayla suggests a Force illusion technique that would allow Sarza to create the appearance of wearing clothes in certain cases, but Sarza is uncomfortable at the idea of basically lying about who and what she is; she acknowledges that there may be cases where that would be useful, but she doesn't want to use it just for the sake of convenience.
• Naughty Tentacles: A Dark Side presence animates roots to serve as these in an attempt to break Sarza’s will and possess her. She rather easily turns the tables on it.
• Neck Lift: Meelan Lah to Master Shaper Kehzah Kwaad, when Meelan pieces together that what's happening on Honoghr really is related to the Yuuzhan Vong, and Kehzah has not said everything she knows about it.
• Reasonable Authority Figure:
  • While Master Haara went so far as to split from the main Jedi Order when the existing Council rejected the philosophies that led to the creation of the Nue Jedi, once Aayla Secura shows that the current Council are willing to explore her teachings Haara is willing to accommodate them in turn. As a particular example of this, while she would prefer that the Kyber crystals on this planet are exclusively for the Nue Jedi, Haara recognises that such crystals choose their bearers, so if other Jedi find a suitable crystal in the caves they are welcome to keep it.
  • Once Sarza becomes Master to Meelan Lah, although she is slightly put out when her apprentice takes charge showing Sarza around their ship, she recognises that Meelan Lah knows more about the vessel, even if both affirm that Sarza will be in charge of their upcoming first mission.
• Resolved Noodle Incident: After some speculation about what happened to the Nue Jedi, Aayla Secura uncovers records that appear to indicate that the Emperor sent a troop of clones to the planet and they destroyed a transport vessel leaving the planet.
• Rite of Passage: Meelan Lah explains that part of the reason she seeks to become a Nue Jedi is that she failed a Yuuzhan Vong rite of passage where teenagers go out into the wilderness to claim the loyalty of their creature tools; Meelan Lah comes to speculate that she failed to claim the loyalty of a Vonduun Crab — which serves as armor for her people — because she is destined to prove she doesn't need one by joining the Nue Jedi.
• Robinsonade: The first story arc, "Escape From The Lost World," details how Sarza became marooned on a deserted world as a child, trained as a Jedi by the spirit of the last master of the Nue Jedi Order, and ultimately her escape from that planet.
• Robot Buddy: Sarza repairs a droid, SX-99 (Essex), who is basically a small floating toolbox with a stutter.
• Sex Goddess: Sarza has a good Coordination skill, and before the end of the first story has the Enhance Force Power upgrade that lets her roll her Force Rating as part of a Coordination check, spending Force Points on Sucess or Advantage. Meaning that despite her inexperience, she a very capable lover. Some differences between Zeltrons and humans are also noted, and while they apply no mechanical benefit, they likely qualify the species as a whole for this trope.
• Sex Magic: Inasmuch as the Force is "space magic." Nue Jedi philosophy teaches students to contact the Force in similar ways as the Jedi, but to enhance that connection through their arousal. Mechanically, Sarza can reroll one Force Die if she's sufficiently stimulated, and in-narrative she can tap into the Force to a greater degree while having sex, such as engaging in sexual acts to boost her abilities to force the life-form on Honoghr into dormancy with an elaborate mind-trick.
• Shameless Fanservice Girl: As Sarza explains succinctly to Kael when he tries to loan her his robe, not wearing clothes is part of the Nue Jedi philosophy. Sarza feels no qualms about being naked, even among crowds of complete strangers, and actually rather enjoys the lustful feelings her nudity inspires.
• Shout-Out:
  • The holocron Sarza finds that educates her in the ways of the Nue Jedi contains a representation of Nue Jedi Master Haara Skybright, a reference to author Haara Brightwater and the character that kicked off this new genre of LitRPG stories.
  • When talking about Sarza being underdressed for meeting the Jedi Council, Threepio mentions "the Starfires of Tamaran," indicating they're some other kind of nudity-positive organization.
  • Meelan Lah's ship is a Xhalax-class transport gunship, and she mentions Talyn-class frigates and Moya-class Leviathans grown by the Yuuzhan Vong on Zonama Sekot. Moya was the hero ship of Farscape, Talyn was Moya's Peacekeeper-hybrid gunship offspring, named after the father of Moya crewmember Aeryn Sun, while Xhalax Sun was Aeryn's mother.
  • The threat faced on Honoghr is compared by Word of God to the titular monster in The Thing (1982), as well as what's wrong with Hellworld. The "Blood Test" scene from The Thing is recreated.
  • The Imperial Paladins are inspired by the Judges of Final Fantasy XII.
• Spirit Advisor: Master Haara Skybright is Sarza's teacher in the ways of the Nue Jedi, but Haara died centuries ago and Sarza is being taught by Haara's spirit from a holocron she created.
• Statuesque Stunner: Zeltrons are noted to be slightly taller than humans on average, and Sarza is tall for a Zeltron. As a Yuuzhan Vong, Meelan Lah is even taller than Sarza.
• A Taste of Power: When Sarza and Aayla venture back to Tarizal, the readers get to see the character sheet of a Jedi Council Member with 2,200 XP spent on Skills, Talents, and Force Powers, compared to Sarza's 620-720. Showing the audience that, as far as Sarza has come since the first chapter of the first story, she still has a long way to go.
• Too Kinky to Torture: When a Dark Side spirit tries breaking Sarza with Naughty Tentacles, she uses her increased connection to the Force due to arousal to weaken the spirit to the point it can't (or perhaps, won't) continue bothering her.
• When Trees Attack: On Honoghr, a copse of trees (that shouldn't even be there) inexplicably come to life and attack Sarza and her companions.
• Wrench Wench: Sarza singlehandedly repairs her parents' ruined shuttlecraft (albeit in a manner that will just keep it in space for a short time), constructs her own lightsaber, and assembles Essex over the course of the first story. Her Artisan specialization gives her the "Mental Tools" talent, which ignores any penalties for not having the proper tools for given Mechanics check, and she has the Manipulate Force Power and the upgrade that allows her to add Force Dice up to her Force Rating to Mechanics checks, spending Force Points on Success or Advantage.
• Young and in Charge:
  • While Sarza is not an official Jedi Master, she is recognised by the Council as essentially the head of the Nue Jedi Order, authorised to speak on matters of interest to her order.
  • Empress Leia Nabierre is noted as being relatively young to rule the galaxy, but she achieved that power through various childhood achievements after exposing corruption on Naboo, and was appointed heir to the previous Emperor by her predecessor on his deathbed.
