The Loud House's Sonic the Hedgehog: The Fastest Thing Alive (originally known as Sonic the Hedgehog: The Fastest Thing Alive, or simply Sonic: TFTA) is the first The Loud House and Sonic the Hedgehog film crossover fanfic and the first fanfic written by Brazilian author Emanoel "Neo" Ribeiro. The story is a retelling of the 2020 Sonic the Hedgehog film, released by Paramount Pictures, but featuring characters from The Loud House franchise.
Sonic, a blue anthropomorphic hedgehog constantly hunted down by the Mad Scientist and roboticist tyrant Dr. Ivo “Eggman” Robotnik because of his special powers, escapes his home island destroyed by Eggman with his special rings and stumbles upon the small town of Royal Woods, Michigan, where he spent half a decade in hiding. After Sonic inadvertently causes an EMP blast that cuts power throughout Royal Woods and nearly towns, Eggman (who believed that Sonic had died in the island's destruction) ends up finding its location and prepares to continue his plan to capture the hedgehog and dissect it to discover the source of his power. A white-haired boy who comes from a large family of ten other sisters, Lincoln Loud, and his friend and crush who moved with her mother and brother to the big city of Great Lakes City, Ronnie Anne Santiago, agree to help Sonic find his lost rings to escape from Eggman. But with Eggman after him, time is of the essence and both Sonic, Lincoln and Ronnie Anne need to retrieve the rings before Eggman catches up to them.
Still named Sonic the Hedgehog: The Fastest Thing Alive, a prototype version of the fanfic had been posted on April 13, 2020 on Sonic News Network
, and on April 26, 2020 on The Loud House Encyclopedia. Later, between May 22 and June 13, 2020, the final version of the fanfic was posted on Wattpad, divided into 12 chapters. Between June 22 and July 6, 2020, the 12 chapters were published on FanFiction.Net. It was published on DeviantArt on July 6, 2020, but in one-shot format. On August 4, 2020, the prototype version of the fanfic was replaced by the final version on Sonic News Network and The Loud House Encyclopedia. It was also published on Tumblr on August 7, 2020, in one-shot format, as well as on DeviantArt. All 12 chapters were also published in the Archive of Our Own on August 29, 2020, now under the name The Loud House's Sonic the Hedgehog: The Fastest Thing Alive.
A Series Fic sequel, simply titled The Loud House's Sonic the Hedgehog was confirmed on July 17, 2020, but there is still no forecast for the publication of the first chapter.

- In the prologue (Chapter 1), Sonic is 10 years old, is from Earth (as in the games), already lives alone and already knows Eggman, and had to flee his island because Eggman made her sink in the sea, unlike his film counterpart, who had around 3 or 4 years old, lived under the protection of Longclaw, only met Eggman 10 years later and fled to Earth to escape the Echidna Tribe.
- Most of the characters seen in the film have been removed (The Echidna Tribe, Jojo, Longclaw, Rachel) or replaced (Tom Wachowski was replaced by Lincoln Loud, Maddie Wachowski was replaced by Ronnie Anne Santiago, Agent Stone was replaced by the robots Obort and Cubot (although the latter is just mentioned) from the video game franchise, Wade Whipple was replaced by Officer Schoffner, a female police officer who is a minor character in The Loud House). The only exclusive character in the film that is present in the fanfic is Crazy Carl.
- Obviously, because it takes place in The Loud House universe, the locations where the plot takes place are different from those in the film: Royal Woods, Michigan replaces Green Hills, Montana and Great Lakes City replaces San Francisco, California.
- Dr. Eggman's appearance is not changed after being defeated by Sonic.
- The Death Egg, from Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (16-bit) and Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles, is also present. It serves as the main base and home for Dr. Eggman.
- Alternate Universe Fic: Just the fact that Sonic, Eggman, Crazy Carl, Orbot and Cubot (the latter being just mentioned) are present already changes the direction of The Loud House continuity.
- Despite this, everything that happened between Left in the Dark and The Loudest Mission: Relative Chaos went smoothly, without Sonic's interference.
- Comic-Book Adaptation: With permission from Neo Ribeiro, Filipino gamer Chris Manabat (known as ImManabatroZ) is making a comic book adaptation of the fanfic, which was originally posted on Facebook, but is now currently posted on DeviantArt, with Neo Ribeiro organizing the pages on his profile. Currently, only Chapters 1 and 2 have been published, with Chapter 3 in development.
- Earn Your Happy Ending: After five years of living alone, Sonic not only has friends, but finally a real home and a family at last. He also doesn't have to hide from the town of Royal Woods anymore.
- Love Informant: Doctor Eggman, deducing to Ronnie Anne that Lincoln loves her. Shortly thereafter, Eggman's deduction proves to be correct.
- Named by the Adaptation: The island on which Sonic lived in the film was not named, but in the fanfic it was named "Christmas Island", which, according to the text Sonic the Hedgehog Technical Files, is the name of the island where Sonic was born.[1]
- Precision F-Strike: Dr. Eggman complaining about his Death Egg computer does not stop beeping after receiving signals reading an electromagnetic pulse, caused by Sonic.Eggman: WHAT HAPPENED TO THE DAMN COMPUTER THAT KEEP ON BEEPING????!!!!
- Running Gag: Sonic's constant curiosity to know what happened at Jean Juan's French Mex in Save the Date, especially the Lincoln and Ronnie Anne's first kiss.
- Sequel Hook: In Death Egg, Eggman tells himself that he will still take Sonic's powers.
- Shout-Out:
- The subtitle "The Fastest Thing Alive" is a reference to the opening theme of Sonic SatAM, which also has the same name. Interestingly, the theme was mentioned in the fanfic, when Luna and Sam tell Sonic that they were making a song for him, and they even sang the refrain.
- When Lincoln tells Sonic that he did well, the hedgehog responds by saying "Thanks, Ultra Instinct". The nickname Sonic gave Lincoln is a reference to the "Ultra Instinct" transformation of the Dragon Ball Super anime, as both Lincoln and Goku using transformation in their complete form have white hair.
- While everyone expects the "improbable" Lincoln and Ronnie Anne's second kiss, Sonic says the quote: "I'm waaaaaaaaaaaitiiiiiiiiiing!!". This is one of his main quotes in Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog.
- The soccer game that Sonic sees hidden is between the Royal Woods Middle School and Tomball High School. This game takes place at the end of the episode Hero Today, Gone Tomorrow.
- A censored version of the Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas meme "Ah Shit, Here We Go Again" is said by Sonic, when he sees an Eggman machine launching several discs with small electromagnetic pulses. In this case, Sonic says "Dang it, here we go again".
- The fanfic's soundtrack "album" cover◊ is a recreation of the first app icon◊ from the 2013 remaster of Sonic the Hedgehog.
- "Shut Up" Kiss: of Ronnie Anne and Lincoln. Happens moments after Sonic defeats Dr. Eggman, when Ronnie Anne asks Lincoln if Eggman was right about him (Lincoln) is secretly in love with her.Ronnie Anne: And one more thing. Was what Dr. Eggman said true? You love Me?Lincoln: *embarrassed* A-as well? As a f-friend or…Ronnie Anne: Or…Lincoln: *embarrassed* Or… as a girlfr…Ronnie Anne: *interrupts Lincoln by putting her finger in his mouth* Wants to know? - Kissing In A Tree: Shortly after Ronnie Anne and Bobby returned to the city of the Great Lakes, Sonic "amicably" mocks Lincoln about that kiss with the classic popular ditty...

- Take Me Instead: After a failed attempt to stop Eggman, Lincoln and Ronnie Anne are caught by two mechanical arms on the Eggmobile. Before they are strangled, Lincoln tries to convince Eggman not to kill Ronnie Anne, claiming that it is his fault that she followed him to the Eggmobile to stop him and that only he deserves to die. However, Eggman ignores Lincoln's request, but Sonic intervenes.
