The Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games series is a series of Script Fics written by RahadianSulisetyo and based on the crossover series of the same name. It starts with the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
Set in Real Life albeit with Super Mario Bros. and Sonic the Hedgehog characters co-existing (including those from other continuities and original ones), the Mario and Sonic cast are grown-up married adults with families living their own lives on opposite sides of the United Statesnote . Every season, they are invited to partake in and represent America in the upcoming Olympic Games. Besides training and competing in sports, they exchange facts about the Olympics and the host country, and even meet real Olympic athletes.
Essentially, it's the Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games series retold as a real-life Slice of Life/Olympic Games story, coupled with extensive history/geography lessons on the Olympics, sports, and countries the Olympics are hosted in.
Every season for each Olympic game lasts for 109 episodes. Then the series moves on to the next announced Olympic Game.

- The Tokyo 2020 season takes place in the summer of 2020 as it was planned. The season was completed before it was announced the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games had been postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
- In Episode 64, Kobe Bryant is seen going to the Olympic Games. This was published about 5 months before Bryant's death.
- Lecture as Exposition: Very often. Characters will often go spitting out facts about the Olympics or the host country non-stop as if they read encyclopedias too much, making many segments read like an encyclopedia itself.
- Lions and Tigers and Humans... Oh, My!: Humans like Mario and friends and Real Life people co-exist with the turtle-like Koopalings, Kongs, and Sonic animals.
- A Lizard Named "Liz": Vector's wife is Aile the Alligator.
- Ms. Fanservice: Any character described as "sexy-looking".
- Next Sunday A.D.: The stories take place in the future Olympic Games, with barely any difference from the present day.
- Patchwork Fic: While the Mario cast includes those from spin-off series, such as Donkey Kong, Paper Mario, Mario Golf, and WarioWare, the Sonic cast includes characters from the Archie, StC, Underground, X, Boom, and IDW continuities, given the author is more of a Sonic fan.
- Polyamory:
- For some reason, Tails has two wives, Cream and Zooey, and two concubines, Cosmo and Fiona. Keep in mind this takes place in the USA, where polygamy is illegal.
- In Beijing 2022, Sonic has another wife, Sally. Sally didn't even divorce her husband Richard.
- Shout-Out: There's a habit of copying dialogue of scenes from famous films.
- Episode 1 uses significant dialogue from The Incredibles, such as Sonic stating how his son Sean got sent to the office for putting the tack on his teacher's chair and then sawing through the table.
- In a Flashback in Episode 31, Aleena requests Jules to "draw her like your French girl", wearing only a blue diamond necklace.
- In Episode 74, Amy requests the same thing of the Japanese painter, except with the Pink Panther Diamond. Amy, Cream, and Sally then implicitly pose naked.
- In Episode 64, dialogue from Rush Hour 2 is used, specifically Vanilla throwing out Aleena's The Beach Boys CD. Mario's room at the Olympic Village is A113.
- Part of the dialogue in Episode 109 is copied from Wreck-It Ralph, Ralph starting on the Hero's Duty game to be precise.Referee: Alright, now listen up 'cause I’m only gonna say this once. Fear is a four letter word, ladies. If you wanna go pee-pee in your big boy slacks, keep it to yourself! It's make-your-mamas-proud time!Tails: I love my momma!
- Ugly Guy, Hot Wife: Wario's girlfriend is the "sexy-looking" Mona. Waluigi and Rosalina count too.
- Down on the Farm: The Kongs live on their farm, a horse ranch, in Mason, Ohio. Subverted, as Mason, Ohio is quite suburban.
- Land Down Under: The Downunda Freedom Fighters live in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, as usual.
- Massive Numbered Siblings: Sonic and Sally manage to have 10 children over probably 2 years.
- Shout-Out: The "Honey, where's my supersuit" scene from The Incredibles, except with night-out clothes, and the same Wreck-It Ralph dialogue used in Tokyo 2020 Episode 109 is used many times.
