The official summary in the description of every episode

The Lighted Stage is a fully voice acted and ongoing JoJo's Bizarre Adventure fanfiction created by Youtuber Cody Savoie.

This fic has examples of:

  • Action Girl: Nearly all the female characters fall under this trope, especially Alexa, who has been able to beat Stand users with far better abilities than her.
  • Aerith and Bob: This story has characters named Mina and Clavin stand beside ones named Beefeater and Crow N. Royal. Though many of the ludicrous names have been confirmed to be aliases.
  • Age-Inappropriate Dress: Mickey Finn is described as wearing rainbow suspenders over his shirt.
  • Awesomeness by Analysis: Crow's ability is based around vanishing an exact amount of objects for a set amount of time. Because of this, Crow is very analytical during fights and is able to make accurate guesses based on observations.
  • Backstory Invader: Optics uses Dreamweaver's power in order go back in time and insert himself into others memories.
  • Because You Were Nice to Me: Alexa's reason for helping Jazmine.
  • Beethoven Was an Alien Spy: The Fortunate Sons are revealed to be the ones who killed JFK in Chapter 7.
  • Big Eater: Tchaikovsky has a massive sweet tooth, to the point where even his Stand is candy.
  • Brains and Brawn: The duo of Zefir Tchaikovsky and Mudi, Alexa's direct superiors in the KGB. Mudi is a Thoughtform expert, while Tchaikovsky is a boorish glutton whose Stand boosts his metabolism to superhuman levels.
  • Call-Back: In Chapter 13, the sticker on the wine cabinet refers to Upmann as "Up-mann", a callback to what Beefeater called him in Chapter 4.
  • Cosmic Retcon: Eloise's Witchy Woman allows her to replace herself with an alternate version who went through a slightly different path in life.
  • Cute Bookworm: Mina Moore is a quiet, mousy bookworm.
  • Defrosting Ice Queen: Eloise Margot, as described by Jazmine, starts out as a "major bitch with an axe to grind" during her introduction. After her fight against Beefeater, she lightens up a lot, especially towards Sunny.
  • Eccentric Artist: During Theo's introduction, he turns his assistant into fabric and takes her apart to maker her 'moral fiber' higher quality. This is why Jazmine suspects him of being the Square Biz Killer.
  • Everything Talks: Sunny's Stand, Soulful Strut, weaponizes this trope.
  • Excited Title! Two-Part Episode Name!: Some chapters have a downplayed version of this without the second exclamation point.
  • Exponential Potential: Mina's Stand, Piece of Mind, has this capability but at the cost of Mina's own brain matter and her willingness to up her kill count.
  • Extreme Mêlée Revenge: Jaz gets some very cathartic justice against Optics at the end of Chapter 12.
  • Genki Girl: Cherilyn "Sunny" Jackson is nicknamed "Sunny" for her optimistic and bubbly disposition.
  • Goth Girls Know Magic: Before goths were even a thing, beatnik-inspired Eloise Margot holds the witch hat Stand, Witchy Woman.
  • Happy Flashback: Subverted during Jaeger's death scene, where he remembers the memories placed into him by Mina. Coincidentally, these were the memories he was trying to exploit to kill Mina.
  • Herr Doktor: Dr. Elfmann von Weirdscience is a German scientist working for the CIA and responsible for the Gypsy Eyes experiments.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: This has happened twice so far:
    • First In Chapter 6, when Jaeger gets impatient and yells Mina's trigger to activate his Stand's ability, only to learn that Mina gave him that memory using her own Stand, causing him to die to his own ability.
    • The second time happens in Chapter 8, when Beefeater hyper-inflates his own Stand's economy in an attempt to buy a nuke, causing his Stand ability to be worthless, thus losing him the fight.
  • In-Series Nickname:
    • Jazmine is referred to as "JoJo" and Jaz.
    • Sunny is the nickname and stage name of Cherilyn Jackson.
    • Sunny is frequently called "Cherie" by Eloise.
    • In return, Sunny refers to Eloise as "Elo."
    • Theodore is commonly referred to as "Theo."
    • Beefeater casually calls Upmann "Up-man." He is also called this by the sticker on the wine cabinet
  • Janitor Impersonation Infiltration: In order to sneak into Optics' motel room to look for Jazmine in a bid to rescue her, Mina dresses up and poses as a maid.
  • Lack of Empathy: Eloise towards the animals she kills with Witchy Woman.
  • Lampshade Hanging: Beefeater after Witchy Woman stops him from murdering Eloise.
Eloise: In zis version, I had an accident when I was a child. In other words, now zere iz a metal plate right where you hit.
Beefeater: Well 'dats jes too gotdamn convenient!
  • Laser-Guided Amnesia: In order to acquire a memory or skill, Mina must give up an equivalent of her own, which she can select with precision.
  • Light Is Good: Jazmine's Stand allows her to do a variety of things with light; she is the main protagonist.
  • Living Lie Detector: Alexa's Stand loudly alerts when someone is lying.
  • Memory Gambit: Mina voluntarily gives up all her memories of ice cream in order to defeat Jaeger Meister, whose Stand would kill her if she thought of it.
  • Mundane Utility: In Chapter 5, Weston uses his photograph of a campfire to keep his tea piping hot during a meeting with Dior and Duffy.
  • Musical Theme Naming: This is a JoJo fic after all, so you should expect to see names like Private Eyes, Limelight, Sharp-Dressed Man, Time In A Bottle, and many others.
  • Mythology Gag: Dior's full name is Dior Brandon Lancome, most likely in reference to DIO (originally known as Dio Brando) of the original series.
    • In Chapter 13, the sticker on the cabinet even calls her Dio when trying to remember her name.
    • Dior facilitates a truckload of references to DIO: She admits to spiking the wine at the party with with "It was me, Dior", she had blonde hair in her youth, her backstory makes a reference to halting the passage of time (which DIO's Stand, The World, could do) and she even says a variation of DIO's iconic "Oh? You're approaching me?" line at one point.
  • No-Holds-Barred Beatdown: Jaz delivers one to Optics in chapter 12.
  • Original Character: Every member of the cast is an OC created by Cody Savoie.
  • Powerup Food: Eating a Sugar Plum Fairy accelerates Tchaikovsky's metabolism to the point where his atoms vibrate fast enough to phase through objects.
  • Rich in Dollars, Poor in Sense: Beefeater is an incredibly wealthy Stand user with the ability to turn objects into money. Unfortunately, he doesn't seem to grasp the basics of economics.
  • Sharp-Dressed Man: Theodore Carnaby is always impeccably dressed, he embodies this trope SO much that Sharp-Dressed Man is literally his Stand name.
  • Shrinking Violet: Weston Archer hides behind his camera and does whatever he can to avoid direct eye contact.
  • Southern Belle: Henrietta Morgan is a (on the surface) pleasant woman with a thick Southern accent.
  • Sweet Tooth:
    • Mina has a penchant for sweets, which makes sense considering she lived on a dairy farm when she was younger.
    • Tchaikovsky has such an extreme love of sweets that his Stand is literally candy.
  • Stalker with a Crush: Steiner Optics to Jazmine. This infatuation goes so far as for Optics to kidnap Jazmine in an attempt to keep her safe.
  • The Big Damn Kiss: Alexa and Jaz share one after saving the latter from Optics.
  • The Tease: Alexa Zivojinovic is an unabashed flirt and tease when it comes to the woman she's into.
  • Time Master: Ashton Upmann's Stand allows him to change the amount of time it takes for things to happen.
  • Tulpa: How all the stands work, but Virtual Insanity plays it straightest due to its alternative obtaining method
  • Wait Here: Alexa tells Jaz to "Wait for her" while she goes to take care of Crow. Unfortunately, this leads to Jazmine getting kidnapped by Optics.
  • Would Hit a Girl: Due to the mostly-female main cast, nearly all minor villains fall under this.
  • Your Mind Makes It Real: How Stands work in this universe; incidentally, this is why Piece Of Mind can copy Stand abilities.
