Interdimensional Academy is a Massively Multiplayer Crossover fanfic that starts off with characters from My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, Deltarune, and Vocaloid being sent to a magical school in order to learn how to defend themselves against villains from their various worlds, said villains having banded together through mysterious means. It gets significantly more complicated from there.

Has a character page under construction.

Due to the size of the story, the amount of characters, and the fact that it is still ongoing, there will be unmarked spoilers ahead. Proceed with caution.

This story contains examples of:

  • Abhorrent Admirer: In Chapter 41, Berdly is one to Sweetheart, wanting her to be his "gamer girlfriend". She agrees, but only in order to escape from the dungeon she has been imprisoned in.
  • Academy of Adventure: The titular school is often attacked by villains or has students suddenly transforming into various creatures.
  • Aerith and Bob: Partially due to the mix of source materials, we have names like Susie, Oliver, and Aubrey next to names like Celestia and Selene.
  • Alcohol-Induced Idiocy: In Chapter 46, Ilulu gets drunk and launches her entire body onto Kaede's piano, breaking it in half. Tohru's dialogue even lampshades it:
Tohru: [facepalming] I told you [Hero] letting Ilulu drink was a bad idea...
  • Always Chaotic Evil: Draemons, a species of demon-dragon hybrids, seem to be this. Every draemon or part-draemon in the story is a villain, and there's no indication that the rest of their species is much different.
  • Animesque: The story contains quite a few characters from anime, as well as some from other anime-inspired media like OMORI. Additionally, most of the Original Characters have Japanese names.
  • Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking: The summary for Chapter 49 contains this as a Content Warning:
Warning: this chapter involves bugs/insects, description of a corpse, and a gratuitous Homestuck reference
  • Beach Episode: Chapter 24 starts with the heroes hanging out at a lake near the titular academy, with swimming, a beach ball, and even surfing (courtesy of magically-created waves) but the party is cut short due to Draemon!Rin possessing Lucoa.
  • Beware the Silly Ones: Len seems, for the most part, like a complete idiot, especially compared to his sister Rin, but he still manages to overthrow Cozy Glow and banish her to Tartarus.
  • Birthday Episode: The main storyline of the chapter "Two Celebrations" features the heroes organizing a birthday party for Selene.
  • Black Comedy Cannibalism: Ilulu eating Sweetheart's chopped-off arm is Played for Laughs.
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: The villains seem to enjoy using brainwashing as a tool to accomplish their goals, with Rin and Gumi being the first two to fall victim.
  • Calling Your Attacks:
    • Megami Raito’s “Angel Strike” and Rin’s “Inferno Blast”.
      • Later on, Len uses a variant of "Inferno Blast" called "Inferno Blast: Spear Mode".
    • One of Selene’s attacks is named “Moonlight Strike” and is triggered by shouting “Moonlight Strike, I call upon thee!”
  • Cast Herd: Generally arranged into students, staff, and villains, with students divided by universe of origin (the friendship students as one group, Ilulu, Kanna, Selene, Elma, and Saikawa as another, Kris, Noelle, Susie, and Ralsei as a third, and so on).
  • Cerebus Syndrome: The story goes from a relatively light-hearted and typical tale about the author's favorite characters from a bunch of different media learning to get along and fighting Card-Carrying Villains to a serious, dramatic epic with a fair bit of lore.
  • Cold-Blooded Torture: It's revealed in Chapter 15 that Cozy Glow and Jevil used a variety of spells on Luka in order to torture her and force her to comply with their demands, as well as brainwashing her.
  • Creepy Child: Several.
    • Cozy Glow was already one in canon, being a major villain despite her young age. In here, she goes further, having no qualms about torturing or killing people.
    • Oliver, Rin, and Len all have shades of this once they become draemons, especially the former, as demonstrated in this charming illustration from the author's Tumblr.
  • Creepy Good: Calne Ca has an unnerving appearance and was created as a Bioweapon Beast, but she's a genuinely kind girl who is firmly on the side of good.
  • Crossover Couple: Captain Spaceboy x Rouxls Kaard.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Fukase, Flower, and Lily's gang attack the Palace of the Star Spirits at night in an attempt to recapture Rouxls Kaard and Captain Spaceboy. Thanks to Spamton NEO, it goes rather poorly.
  • Deadpan Snarker:
    • Kris is characterized as this, making plenty of quips and sarcastic comments.
    • Cat!Gumi has shades of this too.
  • Death Is Cheap: Most of the characters who die do come back in some form or another. The only exceptions so far are Shining Armor, Kaito, Catti, and Berdly.
  • De-power: Lucoa's goddess powers are stolen by Mayu via draemon technology, and are used to resurrect Fukase and (later on) Junko Enoshima.
  • Flawed Prototype: Calne Ca's backstory involves her having been created by human-draemon-hybrid scientists in order to stop Megami Raito, whose creation was prophesied sixteen years before the story's start.
  • Gory Discretion Shot: We aren't shown what exactly Spamton NEO does to Fukase, but judging by Lucoa's reaction and the subsequent trial, it definitely wasn't pretty.
  • Gratuitous Japanese: In addition to some of the OCs having Japanese names, words like "kawaii", "baka", and "sugoi" are commonly sprinkled in.
  • Healing Factor: Due to him being given Lucoa's powers in Chapter 35, Fukase is now essentially immortal.
  • High-School Dance: The chapter "Dances and Draemons" features one organized by Princess Cadence. It is promptly interrupted by the arrival of the villains, who murder Kaito.
  • Kudzu Plot: The story is nearly fifty chapters long and features characters from six different source materials. Combine this with the amount of Heel-Face Turns (and vice versa) and you get quite the convoluted storyline.
  • Put on a Bus:
    • Celestia, Twilight, and Luna are sent off at one point to stop monsters attacking Equestria, leaving Miss Kobayashi as the substitute headmistress.
    • Most of the villains, alongside the aforementioned princesses, are later mentioned as being engaged in a conflict at the school, necessitating the heroes’ move to the castle of the star spirits.
    • In a somewhat literal example of Put on a Bus to Hell, Cozy Glow ends up being overthrown by Len and banished to Tartarus.
  • Quirky Miniboss Squad: Lily and her gang serve as a sort of cross between this and a Girl Posse, leaning more towards this trope after the story moves to the castle of the star spirits.
  • Related in the Adaptation:
    • Oliver and Yohio are brothers in this fic but weren't originally intended as such in canon (well, as "canon" as anything can be in Vocaloid).
    • Earlier in the story, in an example of Crossover Relatives, Mayu is revealed to be Lucoa's daughter.
  • Shout-Out:
    • The "Palace of the Star Spirits" is likely a reference to the Palace of the Earth Spirits in Touhou Chireiden ~ Subterranean Animism, considering the author's affinity for the game (particularly the characters of Satori and Koishi).
    • Chapter 34 contains a reference to the legendary invoked "damn you, Len!" meme.
    • In Chapter 49, Calne Ca uses Calliope as a fake name when going undercover.
  • Sure, Let's Go with That: Omori's response to Spamton mistaking Omori and Sunny for brothers uses the trope name word-for-word.
"Sure, let's go with that," Omori said in a monotone voice, not wanting to get into the (very complicated) actual explanation.
  • The Friend Nobody Likes: The only people who really seem to like Spamton are Lucoa and Kris. When he leaves the castle, albeit only for a day, Kris is the only one who is upset over him being gone.
  • Violently Protective Boyfriend: In Chapter 44, Fukase attempts to stab Kris. Spamton responds by brutally attacking Fukase and injuring him so severely that, if not for Fukase's stolen powers, he would have been killed.
  • Wham Episode:
    • Luka returning to the side of good and Rin’s draemon ascension happen in quick succession and both become major plot points later, with the latter formally introducing the draemons to the story.
    • The section where the adventurers leave the school also serves as this, introducing the Danganronpa characters as well as Utatane Piko.
    • The destruction of the amulet and the arrival of the OMORI cast, as well as the reveal that the Headspace characters are now real.
    • Queen, Lancer, and Shouta’s arrival, which is then followed by Spamton’s.
    • Berdly, Rouxls and Captain Spaceboy’s decision to leave the side of villainy, and Berdly’s death shortly afterwards.
  • Wham Line: Yohio gets one in Chapter 47:
“Because,” Yohio said simply, determination in his eyes, “Oliver is my brother.”
Mayu’s face contorted into an expression that was somewhere between disappointment, rage, and complete and utter bewilderment. “You have got to be kidding me.”
