Five Nights at Freddy's
is a Five Nights at Freddy's fanfiction series written by AI Echidna, along with the help of Fathoms Below 68 and Cypris The Toaster published on Wattpad.com and a few other sites, where it's known as Five Nights at Freddy's: Mega Collection.
The series is a complete rewrite of the first game - the fourth game in chronological order. The series consists of Nightmare, Withered, Refurbished, Afton, Springlocked and Finale, in which the full anthology, titled Mega Collection released on April 17th, 2023.
It is highly recommended you have played the four games. Unchanged spoilers will be left unmarked.
The series contains examples of:
- Adaptational Heroism: RWQFSFASXC (Jeremy Fitzgerald) is given more of an anti-hero role throughout the series, as he guides Michael Afton throughout Withered and Refurbished.
- Adaptational Intelligence: Freddy and co. are a lot smarter than they are in the mainline games, being able to recognize the night guards and have unique personalities to themselves.
- Meanwhile, the toys got a downgrade, being a lot more childlike.
- Adaptation Dye-Job: Each animatronic (besides Nightmare and Nightmare Fredbear) are given a complete design rehaul, with features being changed to all of them.
- And Your Little Dog, Too!: Freddy, whilst taunting Tracy, murders Aaron, who is Tracy's younger brother.
- Adaptational Villainy: Freddy Fazbear, unlike his canon counterpart, is a sadistic bastard, essentially being the Bad Boss of his group. Nightmare also serves as the overarching antagonist, being a form of The Grim Reaper
- Arch-Enemy: To say Freddy and Michael hate each other is the understatement of the century.
- Back to the Early Installment: In Refurbished, Michael has a dream about Withereds Night 4, showing Jeremy's gruesome end to him.. Two instances occur in Finale, Tracy is brought back to Refurbished's Night 3 via a dream and Nightmare sends Michael to a mix of locations from all books prior (minus Fredbear's Family Diner)
- Alone with the Psycho: Much like in the main series, Michael is trapped with the hostile killer animatronics.
- And Now for Someone Completely Different: Springlocked focuses on Springtrap as the main antagonist rather than Freddy or Nightmare.
- A Day in the Limelight: After a few of Refurbished's nights, the animatronics themselves get segments, Night 4 and 6 being exceptions.
- Air Vent Escape: Michel crawls through a lot of vents to escape from the 1987 cast.
- Bloodier and Gorier: The book gets more graphic than the game counterparts.
- Bears Are Bad News: yep.
- Bittersweet Ending: Michael, along with Freddy, is killed off in the final fire in Finale, allowing him to see Evan again.
- Berserk Button: Don't boop Freddy's nose.
- Break the Cutie: Played for Drama. Bonnie's demeanor is broken and twisted by Freddy several times, with Bonnie in Refurbished's Night 5 trying to stand up for himself, only for his muzzle to get broken by the brown bipedal.
- Curse Cut Short: Freddy toward Michael in a rage, which is interrupted by constant noises.
- Deadly Prank: It led to the Bite of 83', which killed Evan.
- Death by Adaptation: Jeremy is killed by Freddy using the springlock RWQ suit, which he later possesses.
- Curiosity Killed the Cast: Jeremy Fitzgerald is killed off by Freddy after checking the vent up close.
- False Protagonist: Jeremy Fitzgerald.
- Fluffy the Terrible: Freddy and his homicidal cast of buddies.
- Forced into Evil: Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy partially. If they don't try to kill Michael, Freddy will kill them instead (which he doesn't).
- Further more, in the Mega Collection version of Refurbished, it's implied a fifth animatronic, Sparky the Dog, existed until Freddy murdered him to prove a point.

- Downer Ending: Nightmare kills Evan in Nightmare, with a heartbreaking epilogue afterward.
- For the Evulz: Freddy kills for sadistic joy and amusement, so much so that the others comment on it.Bonnie: No one feels sadistic joy like that... No one!!
- Large and in Charge: Freddy.
- Just Following Orders: Nightmare reveals himself to be literally Death, which, in that case, means Nightmare is simply doing his job. Foreshadowed with the fact he only goes after characters who had been close to dying or had unfairly cheated death
- Kid Hero: Evan.
- Kick the Dog: Freddy abuses Foxy then Bonnie after the former ends up being the unfortunate animatronic Freddy picks to question, and then the latter after he stood up to Freddy.
- Made of Iron: The original four robots are able to survive William's dismantlement of them in Afton.
- Greater-Scope Villain: Nightmare.
- Half-Dressed Cartoon Animal: The toy animatronics.
- Ret-Gone: Balloon Boy doesn't exist here (thank goodness)
- Red Eyes, Take Warning: Nightmare's pinprick red eyes are a giveaway to Evan.
- The Pawns Go First: In Afton, Freddy steps into the fray only after Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy are taken out.
- The Bad Guy Wins: Nightmare succeeds in killing Evan and Freddy succeeds in killing Jeremy.
- Torture Always Works: Freddy mainly kills his victims with torture and mutilation, as seen with Phone Guy (who's name was revealed to be Kyle in Refurbished), in which Freddy kept him alive for a whole week just to torture him further, all the while having ripped his leg off.
- I Shall Taunt You: Both Freddy and Nightmare, as well as a few of the others, taunt the people their haunting.
- Shout-Out
- ''5 AM at Freddy's: The Prequel'' is referenced in Withered as the primary scene with Withered Foxy and Toy Bonnie is mimicked, including a Mangle cameo.
- The beginning scene during Night 6 in Withered rewrites a 2015 story made by AI Echidna (when he was very young) titled Five Nights at Freddy's 2 Story
- After Freddy leaves the crew after the first night in Refurbished, Bonnie mentions a character named Sparky, which references the Sparky the Dog hoax that had been circulating in 2014. Later confirmed to have existed in Finale, having been murdered by Freddy.
- Sequel Hook: Set up every book.
- Sore Loser: Freddy gets more pissed with each night he fails to kill Michael, all this succumbing to him dropping his usually calm and collected manner.
- The Only One Allowed to Defeat You: Throughout Finale, Freddy is chasing Tracy and the gang for most of his debut, but when Michael appears, Freddy instantly turns his attention to Michael specifically.
- Poor Communication Kills: Michael's refusal to explain Freddy further gets Jeremy killed in Withered's Night 4
- The Dog Bites Back: In Finale, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy betray Freddy as he's about to make his escape from the fire Henry had made, grabbing the bear and dragging him back into the fire to die along with them.
- Posthumous Character: Mork Ghidmiff, which in itself is a reference to a inside joke.
- Undying Loyalty: The other animatronics to Freddy, even if he wants to kill them.
