Zenonia 1
Regret
The main hero of the first and fourth Zenonia game. He is on a quest to destroy Ladon and save the world.
- Apocalypse Maiden: Regret is a male example, since he is the host of the last remnants of Dark Lord Ladon's power. The first, third, and fourth games are all driven by various Dark Lords, including the deceased Ladon himself, scheming to claim that power for themselves.
- Adorably Precocious Child: in the fourth game, due to the time travel.
- Anime Hair: He has blonde spiky hair
- BFS: Carries a big sword in the artwork. His warrior class wields a huge a sword.
- Break the Cutie: When his father Dupre is killed.
- Demoted to Extra: Regret isn’t a playable character in Zenonia 2, Zenonia 3, and he is shown in the flashback intro of Zenonia 5 and never appears outside of the intro in the fifth game.
- Dual Wield: Wields twin daggers as a assassin in Zenonia 1.
- Expy: Similar design to Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy VII, due to spiky blonde hair and a huge sword, but different personalities.
- Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: Regret is a brave and courageous young man with blonde hair. He is a kind and selfless young man who is willing to help any NPCS in need and in Zenonia 3, he is a caring father who raised Chael Despite being his adoptive father.
- Heroic Sacrifice: In Zenonia 3, Regret sacrifices himself to make Chael slay Antione in order to save Celine.
- Happily Adopted: When he was a baby, he is adopted by Wolfred Dupre during the intro of the First game after the Holy knights war against the Dragons knights.
- Half-Human Hybrid: He is eventually revealed to be this; Regret is the son of Ladon and a unnamed human mother despite having no draconic features from Ladon and is the flesh of Ladon.
- In the Hood: Wears a hood in the second game. He wears this in the third game in his sprite, while his artwork has no hood.
- Magic Knight: As a paladin in the first game, He has magic skills and is equipped with a sword for combat.
- Kid Hero: He is 17 years old and the main hero to save the world.
- The Cameo: Regret is the riddle man from Zenonia 2. He also makes an appearance in the another Gamevil game called Baseball Superstars 2010/2020 as a secret guest character where is a super batter in Baseball Superstars 2010 and a Gacha summon Pitcher in Baseball Superstars 2020.
- The Exile: Regret is forced to leave the Town of Ayles for reasons.
- The Hero: The first and fourth’s games main character.
- Take Up My Sword: In the fourth game, The future Regret gives all his powers to the younger Regret.
Sun
Dupre’s daughter whom Regret met in the town of Adonis
- Break the Cutie: When she found out that Dupre is killed by a demon and it took toll on her.
- Nice Girl: She is a sweet girl who cares for the well being of other people a lot like Regret and her family.
- Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: Sun has long blonde hair tied into a ponytail and has a very sweet personality.
- Kill the Cutie: Regret kills her in the evil path of the game; Subverted, Turns out she is still alive in the ending.
- Luke, I Am Your Father: Sun is Regret’s adoptive sister.
- What Happenedtothe Mouse?: She is never mentioned in the sequels nor was never seen again and only appears in the First installment.
Zenonia 2
Lu
Lu is a young boy who lives with his grandpa and is one of the playable characters that player can play as in Zenonia 2. He wishes to reunite with grandfather and journeys to find the 4 gems to grant his wish to come true.
- Action Dad: In Zenonia 5, he has two sons and a daughter. Lu is a great warrior who fights to protect everyone.
- Amnesiac Hero: Thanks to the tree of life’s leaves.
- The Atoner: Lu atones for stealing some bread from the market despite his hunger and lack of gold.
- Awesome, but Impractical: Lu has high defense and HP, But has low movement speed and bit weak attack power.
- The Chosen One: if you choose him as your character..
- Damager, Healer, Tank: He has damaging skills, self healing skills, and has high defense.
- Gold-Colored Superiority: wears golden armor in Zenonia 4.
- Idiot Hair: has this even as an adult in Zenonia 4 also.
- Heal Thyself: Cure Light, is one of his skills can be used to restore his HP.
- Nice Guy: He is very good hearted and pure boy who loves and cares for his missing grandfather. He is willing to help others in quests and return everyone’s memories.
- Sudden Sequel Death Syndrome: In Zenonia 5, he is killed by Aster.
- He's All Grown Up: Lu has grown from a young boy to an middle-aged adult man in Zenonia 4 and 5. He is much muscular and grown facial hair. In
- Weak, but Skilled: Despite having weaker damage than other characters, he has amazing defense and self healing skills.
Ecne
A treasure hunter and one of the 4 playable characters which can be chosen by player in Zenonia 2.
- Action Girl: Ecne is an adventurous asskicking girl is willing to revive her brother and save the world from Ladon and wields two pistols and a rifle for combat
- Amnesiac Hero: When the tree of life’s leaves fell to the ground, she lost her memories alongside with the other heroes.
- Blue Is Heroic: Ecne wears a long blue coat which and is one of the heroes determined to fight for peace.
- Dual Wielding: She uses two pistols
- Fragile Speedster: Her evasion rate and DEX stats are high but, she has pretty low HP and defense but with the help of equipment it can improve her defenses.
- The Gunslinger: Ecne has twin pistols and a rifle. Making her a range attacker.
- Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: While she may be a Tsundere and a bit hot tempered, Ecne is a blonde haired girl with a good and courageous heart and is brave and selfless. She is willing to bring back her deceased brother Jade whom she lost in the past.
- Smurfette Principle: The only female in a group of 4 heroes.
Morpice
A serious mage and one of the playable characters in Zenonia 2. He has lost his mother and sister to the monsters since childhood. In the fourth Installment he has a daughter named Ruira and is one of the commanders of Deva Castle.
- Amnesiac Hero: Due to the tree of life’s leaves that have fallen from the tree caused him to lose his memories alongside with the other heroes.
- Blue Is Heroic: Morpice has light blue hair and a heroic young mage to save world.
- Curtains Match the Window: Morpice has light blue hair and eyes.
- An Ice Person: One of his skills can summon ice and cause cold effect to slow down enemy’s movement.
- Sudden Sequel Death Syndrome: In Zenonia 4, after his defeat from Regret in his Corrupted Form
Zenonia 3
Chael
The main hero of Zenonia 3 who has teleported to the land between Heaven and Earth which is called Midgard.
- Anime Hair: Like his father Regret.
- Adaptational Jerkass: In Zenonia 4, Chael is rude to Regret.
- Always Save the Girl: saves Celine from the Kraken monster.
- The Berserker: As a sword knight, Chael can buff himself in battle.
- Beneath the Mask: Chael is a Divine Tribe member who lost his wings as a baby. Pontifex Temir makes the necklace reveal the truth.
- BFS: Carries a huge sword as a sword knight.
- Big "NO!": When Chael see Celine getting sacrificed by Temir.
- Demoted to Extra: Returns as a NPC in Zenonia 4
- Dumb Blonde: Subverted, Chael is not really a dumb blonde, but Runa thinks he’s one.
- Driven to Suicide: Chael attempts to kill himself in the ending ,due to the death of his father Regret, but is later saved by Celine.
- He's All Grown Up: Chael in the fourth game. He is now grown adult from a young boy in Zenonia 3.
- No Sense of Humor: he never laughs in the Fourth game.
- Hot-Blooded: Chael passionate about making the Divine Tribe go back to the heavenly realm.
- Kid Hero: In the third game. He’s like 12-14 years old.
- Luke, I Am Your Father: Temir is his real father and Luxferre is his older brother.
- Perpetual Frowner: In Zenonia 4, he rarely smiles. The cause of this is unknown. He is shown to be distrustful of Regret for some reason.
- Power Source: As a mechanical launcher in Zenonia 3.
- The Hero: The main character of Zenonia 3.
- The Reveal: Chael is a member of the Divine Tribe who lost his wings when was a baby. Temir reveals the truth using Chael's necklace to reveal that he his biological son whom he never named when the devil tribe attacked. His mother was killed and he was raised as Regret's adoptive son.
- There's No Place Like Home: Chael´s main wish in the third game where is teleported to Midgard, a realm between Heaven and Earth. That he and Runa could go back home on Earth.
- Wolverine Claws: As a shadow hunter in Zenonia 3. He uses sharp claws to attack swiftly at his enemies.
- Reset Button: Uses the spirit stone to turn back time and return to where he began his journey to Midgard in order in change his destiny in the normal mode ending.
- Squishy Wizard: As a nature shaman in Zenonia 3.
- You Can't Go Home Again: Chael needs to find a way back to home when he is stuck at Midgard.
Celine
Celine/Frey
Celine in Zenonia 4

A girl of the Divine tribe who resembles Chael’s friend Frey. Everybody calls her the shaman.
- Adaptational Dye-Job: Celine’s eyes are red in the third game. In the fourth game, her eyes are brown instead.
- Angelic Beauty: Celine is a beautiful looking blonde angel girl. The best looking character in the game.
- Back from the Dead: Subverted. Actually, she isn’t dead. She is in a seal by Temir and is now free when Chael destroyed Antione.
- Beneath the Mask:In the hard mode ending, Frey is the same person as Celine when Chael gives her the Azalia flower, which can only be found at the heavenly realm.
- Break the Cutie: When Chael was put to prison and Celine is put the prayer room at the Great Temple at Paramanon Temple. She cries and says sorry about what happened to Chael and Runa about Luxferre and Pontifex Temir.
- Cool Big Sis: To her little brother Seru.
- Damsel in Distress: Gets kidnapped by unique monsters and later Pontifex Temir kidnaps her who uses her to open the gate to the heavenly realm.
- Emergency Multifaith Prayer: Prays to the great creator to send the monster Ekinard to where it’s from and heal it’s wound.
- Gold and White Are Divine: Celine wears a white dress with blue details and her white hat has golden details.
- Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: Celine is a kind, caring and honest young girl with long blonde hair with matches with her personality.
- Hour of Power: Celine’s powers are limited due to being a shaman given by the Great Creator.
- Idiot Hair: Celine sports this in Zenonia 3.
- Important Hair Accessory: wears two winged hair clips over her ears to show that she is a divine tribe member.
- Light Is Good: Celine has divine powers due to being a member of the Divine Tribe.
- Ms. Fanservice: Celine wears a revealing outfit in Zenonia 4.
- Magic Staff: Carries a staff in her fourth game sprite. It is implied that she uses it for controlling magic in battle.
- Nice Girl: She cares for Chael, Runa ,Her brother Seru and the Divine Tribe. She is a kind and selfless person who cares for the well being of the Divine Tribe.
- Out of Focus: Celine isn’t shown much in the Fourth Game. She is shown in some parts where she talked to Regret about the gem he found at a ruins from the past and was shown the hard mode ending with Chael.
- The Reveal: Frey is Celine. She has waited thousands of years for her first love which is revealed in the hard mode ending of Zenonia 3.
- She's All Grown Up: Celine in the Fourth game. She finally has grown into a young adult for a young girl from Zenonia 3.
- White Magic: She has holy powers to pray to the great creator even though her powers are limited.
- You Can't Go Home Again: Celine stays in the great temple in Paramanon with all her belongings and is unable to leave for bringing Chael to Temir.
